5. Girls Day

The first weekend of the school year has finally arrived, and I honestly do not know who was more excited. It is a good thing that there are no teenagers, as they will have to deal with high school homework, which is more difficult than easy elementary school homework. For once, the younger kids can do their homework and learn that high school homework isn't as simple as it seems. It is more challenging than they think. Sometimes I just say, "Screw it up." I am just trying to help the younger kids with their easy homework projects. I will not do my homework except for art. During my high school years, I occasionally had an art class. I don't mind if it comes along with choir classes, since I can ask for an art class to improve my artwork skills if I get free time.

When I woke up this morning, I found my bed full of bodies. Everyone wanted to sleep in my warm and comfortable bed. I have no idea how the guys can fit into the bed with our girls. For sure, these are some big, furry monster bedhogs. Anyway, I feel terrible for Hazel because Colton snuggles with her adorable wolf-stuffed animal. She has some serious issues with her stuffed animal. When Hazel wakes up and sees that Colton has her puppy, she is determined to have fun getting beat up by a little girl. There is one thing you cannot do with Hazel: steal her favorite stuffed animal. One thing about Hazel is that, wherever she is, she always has her stuffed animal. Also, when she does not have it in her hands or her bag, she will freak out so intensely that she will have a huge hissy fit. Sometimes it is funny when she hisses at her stuffed animal. When her bunny steals it, it is fun watching her chase her bunny with the stuffed animal in its mouth.

Since it is a Saturday and there is no school today, I thought it would be enjoyable and special for Kayla and Hazel. I thought we just had a girl stay at the mall while the guys did whatever they did on the weekends. Since my mom is Luna and her best friend Katie is the Luna beta of the pack, I figured it would be nice to have a nice girls' day with us. As soon as everyone wakes up to get breakfast and prepare for the day, the guys will prepare to train and do some secret packing business. Well, it is not a secret in the Alpha and Beta families, but the rest of the pack is. When everyone was fully awake, ate breakfast, and got ready for the day, the guys went to the office to learn about leading the pack and all the pack business, while we girls headed to the mall to have a girl's day. Since it was just the four of us for girl's day, we decided to take the luxury limousine since the guys did not need it. Since my family is the top wolf pack in the country, we are royalty. We all jumped into the limousine and headed to the mall.

About twenty minutes later, we arrived at the best mall in the area. While looking out of the car window, I noticed people pointing and whispering to us as though we were hilarious. This is because they thought it was a joke, but it was not. We got all out of the limo, and everyone was shocked to see the royal wolf family in a public area. This is especially true when observing the two top females in the pack. We decided to decide what we would do first once we got inside the mall. After everyone stared and talked, we decided where to go.

"Mom, I think we should shop for the harvest moon festival, which is coming up in less than a few months." It was never intended to be unpaired. In addition, this is Hazel's first wolf pup, and I hope she can become one as well. I said this while looking down at an incredibly happy four-year-old.

As I hugged Hazel, I said, "If you come first, we can pick up and find a friend to get your bunny a dress and stuff for the party as well."

Kayla said while holding her left hand while walking to the dress shop, "Yeah, and get both moms a furry friend." "I'm pretty sure they can't refuse your cute, cuddled, sad puppy look."

Okay, let us get this over with because I still have a sparkly princess dress. Hazel said this while looking into the store windows as we passed by, holding her stuffed animal wolf in her arms.

We finally arrived at the dress shop. The store was playing some enjoyable music, and Kayla sang along to the song playing on the store television. The first thing we wanted to do was find Hazel an elegant and sophisticated princess-themed dress with lots of rhinestones and sparkles. This is just the way she likes her dress. This is her very first harvest festival, which is her big day entering the world of the wolves, not as a part-human, but as a part-wolf and human. I remember it was Kaylie, Troy, Colton, and my very first harvest festival, which was also our fourth birthday. It was one of the most memorable birthdays we ever had. It was incredibly special because that was the day we all shared a birthday. We became wolves and officially joined our werewolf community with our first transformation. It was like a royal outing and a huge, fancy ball. We all had to wear formal clothes adorned with our pack symbol and colors, which is a Celtic touch type of theme. This happens during the fall season and the first full moon of the year. This can be extremely exciting, with the whole town coming together to celebrate.

This year is unique because it is Hazel's first harvest festival. Since she is four years old, she will officially transform into a wolf pup for the first time. My family is overly excited about this because legends say that once a full moon occurs, a child will have a special birthmark in wolf form. This symbolizes that he or she is a special wolf, the first-born child, or any child. There were only a couple of times this legend occurred in our pack's history with a young pup with a special birthmark. It only occurs when you are a descendant of a royal family. Since my family and the pack's bloodline are descended from the first royal werewolf family in Northern America, for the past couple of centuries there has not been a special wolf pup with his or her birthmark. Sometimes it skips generations or happens with twins. I hope it happens to someone in the pack soon. I have a similar birthmark to my twin, Kaylie, and her blood twin, Troy. There are rarely two sets of twins born on the same day, and these are the royal Alphas and Betas. We are known as the "royal pair of twins," and it is not our fault that our mothers gave birth to us on the same day. Anyway, once we finished picking out dresses and taking a trip to the spa for our girl's day, we returned home to see what the guys were up to. Once we got back to our house, we walked in the door to find a huge surprise.

"Oh my gosh, don't you boys look dashing in those tuxes?" "I cannot wait for the harvest festival, which I just know will be a special celebration this year," my mom said while setting the stuff down on the kitchen table.

"Daddy, I got a princess dress, and I also got my nails down because I didn't want to be left out on a girl's day," Hazel said while showing Dad her toes and hands with a fresh manicure and pedicure.

"Well, we are all set with everything for the harvest festival, which is coming up very soon." "I cannot wait to see what happens," Aunt Karen said while putting some shopping bags on the counter.

"Well, I certainly can't wait to see my baby princess in her princess dress; I can't wait to welcome Hazel in the wolf too." My dad said this while trying to steal Hazel's cookies and milk.

"The boys have to match us, which makes Kaylie feel guilty because they have pink and purple ties," she said while speeding on her phone.

"Alright everyone, today has been a busy day for all of us, and since it is late, we should all eat and get some sleep," Uncle Ian said while stuffing his mouth with leftover cheesecake.

Come on, Hazel, let us relax and watch a chick flick movie with Kaylie in our matching onesies and pajamas and eat some popcorn. "Good night, everyone; see you in the morning," I said while holding my hand out for her to grab.

"Night everyone, and hey boys, the next time you steal my doggie, I will punch you in the nose," Hazel said while yawning and mean-mugging the boys.

Our ears were filled with whispers upstairs about everyone going to bed, but we girls wanted to sit down and eat delicious popcorn while watching a chick flick. Once we got dressed in our pajamas, we all snuggled in our warm, matching blankets with big bowls of delicious popcorn. Hazel tucked her puppy under her blanket and settled in for our movie. Just like always, Hazel loves to be in the middle between Kaylie and me for some reason, like having nightmares and being protected from the boys, and well, she does not like to sleep alone. Hazel and Kaylie fell asleep during the movie. As soon as I turned off the TV, put the popcorn bowl on my side table, and fell asleep while sharing my comfortable, warm bed with my partner, I fell asleep.
