"I do? Then why the hell did you contact Lawrence's when I literally told you not to! Do you even know what could be wrong if we fail again, you will have countless debts on you and our company will be bankrupted. That's the sort of aftermath you can't afford at the moment Jayson!"
Hattiea shouted out loud without bothering being watched or filmed by anyone.

Cameras and people, she cared least about at the very moment.

Launching both of her fists over Jayson's chest aggressively caused him to jerk backwards again but getting a hold over himself, he again stood strong with his amour of defenceless confidence.

He eventually caught the hold of her fists, pulling her in towards him. Face to face for a brutal confrontation.

"For once, why can't you think about the bright picture Hattiea? Think about the positive aftermath, what if we'll rock the deal? Our company will touch the sky like never again. Why the fuck do you always have to be negative?"
Instead of sounding convincing, Jayson's statement angered Hattiea more as she pulled herself away from his grip again.

"You are sick, Jayson!"
She shook her head while widening her eyes, clearly she was in utter disbelief.

How selfishly dumb he could be?

Literally he was willing to take such a huge risk on the basis of what? A fucking hypothesis?

He wasn't even ready to accept the other part of his consequences at all, that's so fucked up!

There's no sense of accountability in his actions for anyone.

Not for the people who work for him, not for her and not even for himself.

A pathetic employer.

"How could you only think about your own benefit Jayson, how could you just risk my whole damn efforts of years and all the employees working for you in a minute? What do you think will happen to the people whom our company have been feeding for years? If we will go down then we are taking them down with us, that's just too unfair for them Jayson!"
Hattiea shouted at his face again while Jayson's eyes suddenly turned firm.

An angry frown of displeasure being decorated over his feature hinted clearly he wasn't liking Hattiea's protest against his decision at all.

The feeling of superiority disturbed Jayson's calm the same minute as he held one of her arms in his tight grip, squeezing her in discipline.

The sadness he was feeling for her all along, in a matter of minutes turned into his anger. All that because Hattiea wasn't giving in to him or supporting his decision...

That's what he thought so.

"Do you think I am a fool here to not know anything? It's just a little problem going on with my company which will be solved quicker if you choose to shut up for once. Also I cannot let you decide whatever you wish to do okay! To rebuilt everything again as per you want... I ain't that patient to wait till that day comes."
Jayson scowled at Hattiea's attempt to warn him for his selfish decision.

But indeed, he was too blind by his greed to not see what he's doing is absolutely wrong.

"Who do you think I am to always run after you? If I am not that capable then how the fuck I brought my company up to this peak huh?"
Jayson's voice was harsher than the other times as Hattiea flinched at his grip.

Her glassy eyes now couldn't hold any longer but to shed fresh tears, while she heard him exclaiming all that with absolutely no regrets at all.

"Mind you Hattiea, you are working for me. It's not the other way round! Do not mistake me with something else, I'm your boss and you better get that fucking thing inside your head while talking to me from now on!"
Jayson's breathing turned uneven while pushing her away from his face, Hattiea looked at him with zero expressions.

Although the tears of her own, had an entire different tale to communicate.

The other minute, silence surrounded around their aura but a minute later, Hattiea chose to speak up again...

"Your company?"
Hattiea repeated his word with an airy whisper breaking the dead silence as Jayson still glared at her firmly.

Not saying anything in return. He was all ears for the next thing she had to say without any interruption.

"All these years I was working with you thinking it was our company, seems like I was wrong this whole time. Nothing was mine... nor were you neither your company!"
Her heart broke into million pieces, it was the last string which finally broke now.

She finally got to know what was inside his head all thing long, how he really felt about her for so many years.

She got her closure now and it was necessary.

Very necessary for her to know that nothing did matter to Jayson for all those years worth of loyalty and love she invested in him.

In fact the only thing that ever mattered to him was his work and his social status.

He was only with Hattiea because she was beneficial for his work and nothing else.

Jayson's angry silence stated everything clear then, she was indeed with him all these years but she wasn't holding any position in his life...

That was the brutal truth.

"You are too tired to talk to at the moment. I will drop you back home, come on!"
That was Jayson's last words, his expressions were blank and moreover unchanged holding absolutely no regrets about whatever he had said.

While walking away and leaving her behind to follow him without any care. He didn't even bother to deny her words or even act defensive.

Hattiea sniffed a hard breath a few seconds longer than usual to fix her aura, rubbing off her tears the same second.

Now it was all she needed to get over him without any worry, maybe yes.

But for people, Jayson and her relationship was still a piece of show... a bit far from reality.

Hattiea exited the venue right after her moment, following Jayson seeming fine enough to put on a show of a good fiancée.

Meanwhile unknown to her knowledge, watching the entire scene from not too far, stood Jordan and Sebastian in silence.

Not trying to interrupt the conversation of the two but also not walking off being alert.

Indeed, they both witnessed Hattiea being maltreated by her fiancé personally, they just wanted to make sure what was really up between them.

Both of their faces held the accountability that they did eavesdrop everything both the couple talked about or better stated... fought about.

None of them wanted to be a detective out here to spy on the woman they have been searching for over a week now... but it was still out in the public where the couple decided to fight.

It was none of their fault to address or excuse the situation when they aren't asked to.

Although low-key Jordan did want to know what was Hattiea's relationship status with Jayson, but he didn't want to show up as a selfish person to go and ask her directly being a noisy freak again.

Lucky for him, that he got to know about the ugly truth about Hattiea's engagement that's seemingly won't be a problem to him in future if he was ever going to approach her again for his mother's sake...

After all she was the only matched donor of his mother and every little detail about her mattered to him very much at this point.

The moment, the couple left the scene. Jordan and Sebastian walked out of their respective places, after hearing Hattiea's entire conversation with much needed attention.

While slightly holding an idea about her not so healthy relationship with her fiancé.

Fortunately both of them have quite of knowledge about her private life after hearing the couple argue.

"Now, that was surprising!"
Sebastian exclaimed being stunned as Jordan eyed ahead, blankly without holding any surprise over his face.

"I never knew they contacted us for an investment."
Jordan frowned seriously to which Sebastian shook his head off not taking his words in much serious account at first.

"We do have a lot of people approaching us for investments everyday. Are we supposed to know everyone?"
Sebastian replied nonchalantly but not letting the matter go, Jordan seemed persistent enough to investigate this new piece of information.

Shaking his head,
"Not everyone, but her!
"
He commented still looking at the way where Hattiea walked off, disappearing to nowhere just a few seconds ago.

"Only her, Sebas."
Finally moving his eyes back to his friend, he glared at him long and hard this time.

Indeed, the news of them contacting Jordan for an investment could have been a direct and convenient way to find her quicker but again...

They never knew she was working for that very particular agency, which was trying to get attentions and struggling to keep up strong despite of facing huge loses in their business on daily basis.

Seemingly Jayson's agency did have some controversial rumours which explained their problems.

They were desperate for funding.

It was so very clear.

"You do realise, that you look scary doing that right?"
Sebastian commented narrowing his eyes at his friend, who seemingly still glared back at him.

"Doing what?"
He questioned back almost as if he couldn't make sense of him but Sebastian's next statement did help him understand the meaning behind his words.

"Saying absolutely unexpected things out of no fucking where Jordy. That's fucking scary."
