MEANWHILE
LAWRENCE'S HEADQUARTERS

Jordan's dark pair of ocean eyes were strictly focused on some documents as he worked busily being isolated in his office.

His chocolate brown pigmented hair were messy but it charmed him more while his professional attire screamed extreme richness.

Jordan Lawrence was no easy man after all. His every second was money making him intimidatingly the most powerful man in the world business.

He was the best known tycoon in the entire continent.

Also be called as the godfather of the entertainment industry who had his every possible reach over the numbers of platforms in multimedia resources.

He had numbers of agencies under his feet in the process and with his only one click of fingers, he was able to make many lives and destroy the visa versa.

He can assign agencies under his labels and also holds the power to ruin them too...

Obviously Jordan Lawrence's name sounded equally dangerous than just being powerful in the entire states of America, he was not easy to manipulate and dominated by any.

Jordan Lawrence also owned countless hospitals in his heritage round the continent, that was since he got to know about his mother's health.

Jordan always worked in silence and that is what led him to win over many opportunities in his career so faster than any other man in the industry at his age.

As his office still sounded dead silent, sooner he heard a creek from the door, hinting someone entered inside his space.

This caught the attention of Jordan.

With only the sound of the footsteps approaching his way, Jordan was able to recognise the culprit well.

"You have an invitation for a charity event!"
Sebastian uttered as stood in front of his friend's desk, only find him being dead focused at his paper work.

Lately it has been difficult for Jordan and Sebastian knew about his situation well.

Jordan drowned himself in his work to escape the reality, he kept himself engaged at his work to such high extends that was just way too cruel to imagine.

He even started skipping his meals and taking adequate breaks to rest a bit.

This distress was caused since the incident happened last week, both the males finally found a matched donor for Jordan's mother after so long but unfortunately that donor managed to escape the same day leaving everyone in heavy shock.

Such a misfortunate event was that for Jordan.

It has always been one of his habit to work a lot when he feels nothing is right around him. Working dodges his problems, he believed.

But at moment the problem was bigger than any problem he had ever came across in his life. This situation involved his mother's life...

No matter how hard he tried to get his thoughts together positively, he couldn't do so.

He was dead worried about his mother.

Sebastian did not try to interrupt his friend since last week thinking he might need time for his own but witnessing the matter getting out of hands now, Sebastian had to do something quicker.

This was bad, so bad for Jordan.

Jordan was always an influential personality in public's eyes. 30% of his funds were submitted for charity reasons each year, mostly for cancer patients and old age associations, even the orphanages and well known NGOs who worked for disabled people.

Not only that, his hospitals round the entire continent solely concentrated on many kinds of causes for the well-being of people who cannot affords expensive treatments for their diseases.

He worked at his best possible reach to benefit people in need or who were suffering in their lives.

And by this charity invitation, Sebastian wanted to distract Jordan a little to try getting himself together and meet people.

Sebastian wanted Jordan to attend the event and relax a bit, as that is what he enjoys doing the most, helping people in need.

That was all Sebastian could do for his friend to feel better in a difficult time like this...

He just wanted him to calm down a bit and have a break for himself.

And the charity event was a perfect opportunity!

"Hm!"
Jordan mindlessly hummed with a firm nod of agreement as Sebastian's eyes softened a little looking his friend with a gaze of pity.

Seemingly only Sebastian knew how disturbed Jordan was from inside, he never possessed the habit of showing his worries to other people.

It has been a week since the unknown lady disappeared from the hospital in thin air. Her searches were still on everywhere in the city like crazy...

Yet, still there was no progress about her investigation.

Sebastian's men were searching for her without having any rest.

It seemingly became difficult to find her because they have absolutely no information about her, there were no photographs of her too... but only few CCTV footages of the lady from the hospital which were being used for her search.

Those clips were also sort of blurred out to clarify and identify her properly.

Adding to that worry, the doctors also announced the final date of the transplant procedure of Jordan's mother.

This caused Jordan to isolate himself totally from everyone and drown himself in his work being dead serious.

Sebastian kept ensuring his friend that everything was going to be fine at one point but about that, there were still serious doubts which bothered even Sebastian.

He acknowledged that if he could not manage to find out the donor sooner, then finding someone else as a match was nearly impossible thing to do.

So everything was depended upon only one person, that is the mysterious woman who disappeared that day from the hospital.

They needed to get her as soon as possible in order to treat Jordan's mother.

Jordan still trusted the reliable sources of Sebastian, he still waited for some good news however there were none yet...

Sebastian was Jordan's legal advisor in business. He was the most reliable man of Jordan!

And probably that was the only reason why he was still quite calm about everything all this time.

He knew Sebastian would not let him down.

Sebastian knew how tensed his friend was deep down and it saddened him to no limits that he could not help his friend in any way in this matter.

All they do is wait for any possibility to find that mysterious woman sooner.

MEANWHILE
AT HATTIEA'S HOUSE

Walking in the slight moist grass bare foot, Hattiea sighed a long sigh of relief as silence pooled the space around her, but this silence was not as disturbing like before...

In fact, it was a lot calmer than ever.

It has been so many years that she enjoyed her own company like this.

Her mind seemed to relax a bit, in this past week's timespan.

She had worked hard fighting off many ill and sick thoughts being a matured person like she was.

Taking in the fresh scent of beautifully bloomed lilies and roses in her garden, she smiled sadly before watering the flowers.

She fought off many sort of negativity running down her thoughts.

It has been so long... almost a week since she had shown herself in the agency or met any of her colleagues at work.

Even Jayson.

She met none and that kind of helped her to get her mind together in the meantime.

She just could not help but only recall all those pitiful stares that she received from all the employees before she exited the office for the last time.

Those stares of pity were burning her pride to no limits.

People at work respected her to no limits, many even valued her opinions more than Jayson's decisions at work.

That is what she had gained over all these years, the respect, the love that people at work had for her... was now certainly the only thing that helped her getting her thoughts back together like a sane being.

Though she had been still avoiding Jayson in her every possible way.

No matter how much time it has been since they both last communicated properly, she still doesn't think that she can manage to clear those heart wrenching thoughts about him out of her head.

She got cheated on by him, he betrayed her and she was never going to forget it ever.

Though he had provided her very enough time for herself to sort her thoughts out but it was not really helping her any bit when the case was about him.

Even she was well aware about the fact that she cannot ignore him forever.

Whether the case of him being her fiancé was one whole different matter, Hattiea shared a very strong work relationship with Jayson which was hard to avoid or cut off easily.

And because of that...

She had to face him someday, maybe not with the same respect and courage like before but still to accept his bitter reality.

Work is work...

Does she need more time?' Hattiea questioned to herself seriously but only the cold breeze chuckled in return at her coward state of mind.

Hattiea was seemingly still in her deep thoughts when a very familiar presence beside her gained her attention the same minute.

Turning her face at the familiar scent, it was none other than the owner of her disturbed thoughts, Jayson...

Her fiancé who cheated on her!

Jayson stood by Hattiea's side as she was taken aback a bit because of his sudden visit.

Maybe she was not expecting him, at least not at the moment.

His silent appearance indeed shocked her a little but it also did answer her many unanswered questions.

Yes, she does need more time to recover her pain of betrayal.

She was just not ready to have any sort of conversation with him or even face him at the moment.

"I see why weren't you picking up my calls, you kept yourself engaged in gardening!"
Jayson uttered trying his best to sound comfortable as his eyes held a hint of awkwardness while starting a conversation with his fiancé.

He was well aware about the gardening hobby of Hattiea, she liked planting and growing flowers in her care.

Jayson smiled sadly seeing Hattiea continue watering the flowers quietly, instead of preparing any reply for his statement.

She did not welcome his visit...

Hence taking the initiative to start the conversation with her again, Jayson moved forward.
"I missed you...
"
He uttered softly making Hattiea's heart numb painfully.

After almost a week, she saw him and he had the audacity to face her again with absolutely no shame?

How could he behave like nothing even happened between the two?

Just his small guilty smile and big eyes filled with hope waited to hear something from her but yet again, Hattiea chose not to talk.

She was not ready yet.

Hattiea transferred her gaze down purely ignoring his existence beside her as she stopped the flow of water before turning around to leave the garden but before she could have done that, she got stopped by a hand holding her right arm abruptly preventing her to take a step ahead.

Shocked by the unexpected attack, she then heard Jayson's voice filled with frustration and anger.
"Can you stop fu*king making me feel so pathetic, Hattiea?
I am here to fu*king talk!"
