Chapter 23

The next morning Sienna and Declan woke up in each other’s arms. It was nice to sleep next to someone without expecting any type of sexual attention. Declan had never slept next to a woman before without sleeping with her the previous night, but the change felt good. He knew in his heart that Sienna was meant to be the woman he would marry and spend the rest of his life with. He first had to fix their relationship and decided to court Sienna like a true gentleman.

They climbed out of bed, and Sienna went back to her room to get dressed while Declan waited outside her door. The couple walked into the dining room together. Aaron glanced over at them, confused, which Caleb noticed and raised his suspicions. On the other hand, Aideen had a pair of sunglasses on and slowly sipped on a hot cup of strong black coffee.

“Good morning, rough night?” Sienna asked Aideen and grabbed a croissant. Declan moved her chair and let her sit down first before sitting next to her.

“I slept amazingly but woke up with such a headache.” Aideen groaned in reply.

“She has a hangover,” Caleb laughed and kissed his girlfriend’s hand.

“Declan, I noticed that the arrangements for the wedding have not been finalized. I know a lot has happened, so do you and Sienna wish to move the dates to a later time?” Aaron questioned and took out his phone to write down some notes. Aaron had taken over as Declan’s assistant because they couldn’t face having to find someone to replace Kian.

“No! You have to still have the wedding, I think after everything we could all do with a happy celebration. Please still have the wedding on Christmas. If you don’t, then we’ll all have to go to mom’s place for Christmas. You know how much Aunty Evelyn and I don’t get along.” Aideen whined.

“You do know that she’s coming to the wedding also, right, so either way, you aren’t going to get away from her. Plus, Aunty Evelyn isn’t that bad; you two just have personalities that clash.” Declan chuckled in reply.

“Yeah, but at the wedding, there’s going to be a lot of people, so there’s a higher chance that we don’t run into each other,” Aideen added.

“Well, Sienna, would you still like to marry me on Christmas Day?” Declan asked, and all eight eyes turned to stare at her.

“Of course, she would, doll.” An arrogant voice replied. Ryan Hoffman walked into the room, and Aideen excitedly yelled. She sprinted out of her chair and into his arms to give him a massive hug hello. Ryan wore a loose silk yellow shirt that showed off his chest with a pair of black leather pants. He always dressed to impress and had to stand out among the crowd.

“Hello, Ryan.” Sienna greeted with a smile, but the other three men seemed irritated by his presence.

“Oh dear, did all you men wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Don’t worry, darlings, I’m here now. You can stop sulking.” Ryan replied with a smirk and sat down at the table.

“Hoffman, what are you doing at my house?” Declan asked.

“Oh, you mean the villa that I gave you? All jokes aside, I actually came here to invite you all to a pre-wedding getaway. Before you all protest, it’s already been paid for.” He replied and grabbed a slice of cheese off the tray in the middle of the table.

“Sounds fun. Where are we going?” Aideen cheerfully questioned.

“Desert palace hotel and casino. I especially like the casino part, but they have a cute little hotel with a golf course and bowling. A very desert-themed vibe, but I thought our snow angels would prefer something opposite to what they experienced on their last trip.”

“That is not funny, Hoffman,” Caleb grunted.

“Geez, okay, my bad. I see the dragon has his little hellhound around; I better be careful.” Ryan stated and held up his palms in retreat.

“Wait, if Declan is a dragon and Caleb is a hellhound, can I please be a Reaper?” Aideen laughed.

“Sweetheart, you’re more like a fairy,” Ryan replied, which made Aideen pout and everyone else laughed.

They finished up at breakfast then went to pack their bags, and soon they were all out of the house again. The trip was short, and they all easily settled in at the hotel. The billionaire even offered Sienna a separate room, but she wanted to share a room with him. They both showered together with a lot of kisses, then got ready. Declan brushed Sienna’s hair while she did her makeup and covered her shoulder with kisses. She wore a champagne pink satin jumpsuit with a belt on the side. The colour looked beautiful against her skin, and Declan stared at her in the mirror while he stood behind her.

“You look gorgeous.” He smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Thank you.” Sienna softly replied and felt like she melted into his arms. Things between them were so good, but at the back of her mind, she was secretly waiting for it to all fall apart again. She obviously had her doubts and wanted to hold onto him for as long as she could.

“Can’t we just stay in this room together?” She asked and frowned.

“We can if you want. We can leave and go back home if you wish. Or even just book out a hotel and be alone for a while.” Declan replied and kissed her neck. Sienna looked in the mirror and thought she looked so good next to the billionaire. The baby inside of her was going to definitely look attractive.

“Uh, we can’t. What about everyone else?”

“They’ll be fine.”

“We can’t leave, but let’s just make an appearance, then slip off to the pool,” Sienna remarked, and Declan agreed.

They spoke about plans for the baby while walking towards the casino. Declan described how he would make time for his child and Sienna in his busy work schedule and all the ideas he had to give the baby the best advantages in life. He had thought about it a lot and already knew which schools were the best and how to deal with the baby when it didn’t stop crying.

Sienna felt her heart glow when he spoke about the future. Declan included her in all his future plans and asked for her opinion first before going ahead, which she appreciated. They were going to be married, which meant they needed to see each other as equals and respect one another. The billionaire was trying to prove to his fiance that he did respect her and thought she was an incredible person both inside and out.

“Sienna, I want you to take over as head of the Australia branch when you feel that you are ready.” Declan suddenly stated.

“I don’t think I am qualified.” Sienna shook her head.

“You are still studying, but I think you were born to manage people. You have a natural talent for this line of work, which you proved in Australia with the investor. I’ll be there to help you along the way, and I know the company would benefit a lot if you joined.” He explained and led her past a group of people.

“I’ll think about it.” She stated and smiled at him. She wanted to be part of the company, but now that she was asked to join, Sienna felt scared. She was just a poor woman from Samjiyon that worked as a waitress. No! She was soon going to be Sienna Foster, an intelligent woman with her own success and wealth. A desirable woman with a loving partner. A well-respected woman that deserved to be in the position she was offered.

They walked into the private section of the casino where the high rollers played and found the rest of the group. Ryan was surrounded by many women who watched him play poker; Aaron was chatting to a random man while Aideen and Caleb had fun with the slot machines.

“Do you know how to play any of these games?” Declan asked, and Sienna shook her head. “It’s really just a waste of money, but some of them are fun. All expenses are on Hoffman, so let’s spend his money.” He added, which made Sienna giggle.

They played some roulette which Declan explained, then moved on to slot machines. Sienna found the games quite boring as all you did was click a button and watch a screen. Excited cheers came from where Ryan was playing, making the couple walk over to watch him. Ryan was up against a gorgeous woman that seemed to be winning. The woman excited Hoffman, and her eyes devilishly sparkled when she looked over at him.

“Oh, come on, princess, play already.” The woman stated and made the crowd laugh. Ryan smirked at her comment and stared at his cards; he decided to fold, allowing the woman to win all of his chips.

“Good game, Mrs….” He said and walked over to her.

“Miss, and you can call me Allie.” The woman replied with a sexy smile.

“Allie,” Ryan repeated and fell in love with her name. “Can I buy you a drink?

“How I about I buy you a drink since I just won all your money.” She winked, which made Ryan smile. He was defiantly interested in this woman.

Sienna and Declan decided to do their own thing and walked towards the pool. They sat with their feet in the water and just got lost talking to one another. They discovered they had so much in common and shared many beliefs; when they disagreed on something, they listened to one another’s opinions and agreed to disagree. They could talk for hours without losing interest and felt so happy.

“I am so lucky to have found you, Sienna. I always wanted to have a family, but I never thought it was possible. It’s like you’re my good luck charm.” Declan sweetly stated and helped her up.

“That’s so cute.” Sienna blushed and stared into his dark blue eyes. The sky reflected on her big brown eyes and made her look incredibly beautiful. Declan felt like he saw his entire universe in her eyes and knew she was his soulmate. No one else would have stayed with him for this long, and he was so grateful to have her part of his life.

Declan went down on one knee, making Sienna tilt her head, confused.

“I know that we are technically engaged, but I never proposed. So, Sienna Chae-Soo, will you please continue to stay by my side through it all and make me the happiest man in the universe. I know we have only known each other for a few months, but that doesn’t mean I feel any different about you. Will you marry me?” Declan asked and held her hands in his.

Tears glazed over her eyes, and a massive smile spread across her lips. “Yes,” She nodded and pulled him into her arms.

“Thank you,” Declan mumbled before he crashed his mouth down onto hers. Sienna passionately kissed him back and held onto his neck. Her hands found their way to his shirt and started undoing his buttons. She wanted him and craved to feel his skin against hers.

“Someone could find us,” Declan stated and stopped her hands. “I want you as well, but let’s go back to the room.” He added.

“That’s a better idea.” She laughed and helped him redo his buttons. They walked towards their room, and Declan picked her up to wrap her legs around his waist. He managed to open the door while carrying her and never moved his mouth away from hers. He put her down, unzipped the jumpsuit she had on, and pushed it off her shoulders.

Declan Foster made love to this fiancé for the first time, and it was better than any sex he had ever had before. He was gentle, slow and felt like they connected on a deeper level. For once, he felt like he was truly loved and fell asleep cuddling closer to Sienna.
