Chapter 17

Aaron released a breath he didn’t realise he was holding and sank back onto his bed. Kian found it annoying that Aaron was relieved the billionaire didn’t suspect anything and wished their boss would have walked in on them kissing. At least then they didn’t have to hide and sneak around.

“Aaron, I’m trying to be understanding, but you need to stop hiding who you are,” Kian stated and grabbed his phone and car keys.

“Where are you going?” Aaron asked and watched the handsome assistant walk towards the door again.

“Home. I hid myself away for long enough, and you just expect me to stay hidden when I am proud of who I am. I even accepted that we just kiss and don’t have sex. I’ve been patient, Aaron, but it’s getting too much. I can’t hide that I want to be with you, and if you can, then I don’t think this is going to work out.”

“Kian, wait. Please don’t go.

“When you figure out what you want, call me. Goodbye.” Kian firmly said and walked off. Aaron felt his heart break and stared at the now empty doorway. A tear fell from his eye, but he quickly wiped it away and lay down on his bed. He didn’t want to lose Kian, so he had to figure out if he was brave enough to be who he was.

2 days later, Aaron had finally gained the courage to tell Declan and was about to confront him when the doorbell rang. Mr Foster’s precious vase was here, so he took the package from the delivery man and walked over to the study.

“Sir, your vase is here,” Aaron announced, which made Declan walk over to a small table. He watched the private investigator unbox it and carefully put it on the table. The vase was a clay handmade brown vase with two handprints of the side. It wasn’t visually attractive, but to the billionaire, it was the most incredible item he owned. Aaron wondered why this ugly vase was so important but didn’t ask.

“Thank you, Aaron. It’s more magnificent than I remember.” Declan stated and positioned it on the table.

“It’s a pleasure. Sir, can…” Aaron was about to say when the billionaire’s phone started ringing.

“Sorry, I have to take this. It’s the Australian investor.” He apologised then answered the call. Aaron nodded and walked off. His nerves calmed down, but he would eventually have to talk to the billionaire.

Sienna walked over to the study with her phone in her hand. She had just gotten off a call with her parents and Hanuel, who were all doing well and happy that she sounded happy. She had great news about her brother’s condition that she wanted to share with Declan and found him on a call. He held up his finger to show he was nearly done, then hung up.

“I have awesome news!” Sienna squealed and accidentally knocked the table with the vase on during her excitement. The vase tumbled over, but luckily Declan stopped it before it fell. A crack formed on the side since the vase was old and fragile, which made Declan angry.

“For fuck sake, be careful, Sienna! This vase is more valuable than your life. Why are you so clumsy? Don’t you care about anything else besides what you want?” He snapped and put the vase back in its location.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean….” She started to apologise.

“Yeah, whatever, you don’t mean a lot of things. I guess you didn’t mean to almost kill my baby or burn down my house.” The billionaire rudely added.

“You know I feel awful about those things, but you don’t need to be rude. It’s just some ugly vase!” Sienna raised her voice which made him even angrier.

“You should learn some respect, bitch! What the fuck do you want?”

“I was going to tell you that my brother’s health is improving significantly, but then you decided to be a jerk. I wanted to ask if my family could come to our wedding.” Sienna replied and crossed her arms over her chest. It looks like they were back to hating each other again.

“It’s bad enough that I have to marry a slut like you, now you want your scum family to be at the wedding? Fuck off and get out of my face.” Declan rolled his eyes. Sienna gasped at his harsh words and felt her blood boiling. She just saw red and picked up his precious vase. Sienna threw it against the wall, and it shattered.

“You little bitch!” Declan hissed and stormed towards her. “You have no idea how valuable that was!”

“Just buy another; you have so much money any way!” She spat and felt his strong hand grip around her wrist. The billionaire pulled her towards him and shoved her against the table.

“Let me go!” Sienna screamed and tried to move, but he held her down. Declan held onto her ponytail and pressed her face into the table so that she bent over. “What are you doing?!” She shouted and struggled against him.

The billionaire grabbed a pair of scissors off the table, and Sienna started screaming as he cut her hair.

“No, Declan! Please, stop!” She shouted and started crying as long strands of her hair fell to the ground. The house staff heard her cries and started running towards the study. Declan let her go and pulled away to look at the waitress. Her long, beautiful black hair lay on the ground around her as she sank to the floor. Her hair was now cut into a horrible bob and looked like chunks were missing. He dropped the scissors and stared at what he had done.

“I hate you!” She cried and held a handful of hair.

“You destroyed something I loved, so I did the same in return,” Declan remarked, then shoved past the staff that were at the door.

Sienna felt like her heart had been ripped out, and tears streamed down her face. She tried to feel for her hair, but a short bob was all she had left, which made her cry even more. She couldn’t believe Declan cut her hair over a stupid vase.

“Oh, dear. Miss, are you okay?” Mrs Grace asked and shoved her way into the study. “All of you leave us.” She strictly said, which made everyone scatter.

“I hate him, I hate him, I hate him!” Sienna repeated and cried as Mrs Grace pulled Sienna into her arms. “How could he do this?” She sobbed.

“I’m so sorry, Miss. I know a thing or two about hair; I can help you make it look neat.” Mrs Grace said and tried to calm Sienna down. After crying her heart out, Mrs Grace helped Sienna to her room and fixed her hair into a decent looking haircut.

“No one will ever know the difference.” Mrs Grace tried to say, but it just made Sienna cry more. The waitress looked at herself in the mirror and no longer saw her long, shining black hair. Now she had a short bob that spiked out in all directions and thought she had never looked more hideous. Sienna looked away from the mirror and held onto the cufflink on her necklace. That didn’t even seem to comfort her anymore.

“Okay, Miss. Don’t worry, you stay here, okay.” Mrs Grace added and cleaned up the hair in Sienna’s room. She then left to clean up the mess in the study and let Sienna be alone.

Sienna made her way to the bed and crawled up in a ball underneath a blanket. She cried herself to sleep as her head was pounding and ignored Mrs Grace when she returned with lunch. Sienna hated the billionaire and wanted to punch his stupid face. She shouldn’t have broken the vase; that was unnecessary. Did she look for the billionaire to react? She knew he had a short temper, but she always pushed him and did things she knew would make him angry.

Maybe this was what she deserved? No, Sienna wiped away her tears and stopped the thought. She was out of line, but no one deserved to be treated how Declan treated her. Temper or not, he was a cruel man. She felt disgusted with herself for even liking him and felt stupid that she thought they could have been happy together.

Sienna forced herself off the bed and went to have a shower. The fine hairs that clung to her body washed off, and when she washed her hair, she almost forgot it was all gone. Her hands clenched into fists, and Sienna angrily screamed, then punched the wall. Pain shot through her hand, and she dropped to the floor. Her knuckles were violently red, and more tears fell from the pain.

Why did she punch the wall? She had always been able to control her anger, but now, all she did was let her temper take over. Why was she starting to become more and more like the billionaire? Or was this anger built up over the years and just been suppressed inside of her?

Sienna got out of the shower and forced herself to eat. She wasn’t hungry, but she knew she had to eat something for the baby. Her hand hurt, but she was too afraid to take a pain killer or even leave the room. She would probably find a knife and land up stabbing Declan if she got the chance. She hated where her thoughts were leading, but then again, she wished he had died in that fire. Stupid girl, why did you care about him?

Declan found Mrs Grace and told her to pack Sienna a bag. He then walked into Sienna’s bedroom and slammed the door open against the wall.

“Get up. We are leaving.” Declan stated. Sienna ignored him and continued lying on the bed, facing away from him. “I’m not in the mood for your stubborn crap. I have to go finish the Australian deal, and you need to come with me.” He added.

Sienna refused to answer him and kept herself frozen in place. Someone else came into the room and started going through her wardrobe, which made Sienna turn around to see Mrs Grace packing her clothes into a bag.

“I’m not going anywhere with you,” Sienna remarked and glared at the billionaire.

“Yes, you are.” He threatened and walked over to her bed. Declan grabbed her wrist to pull her up, so Sienna slapped him. He grunted and tossed her over his shoulder. She screamed and hit his back like she was being murdered while he forcefully took her outside towards the car.

“No! Put me down!” Sienna yelled, but the billionaire was stronger than she was.

“Fine,” He groaned and tossed her into the car. He locked the door so she couldn’t get out and walked around to the other side. Aaron ran after them with his own, Declan’s and Sienna’s suitcase. Zem helped him put them in the boot, then Aaron climbed into the car and sat next to the billionaire while Sienna protested on the back seat.

They drove away as Sienna yelled for Zem to stop, but they were all under instruction to ignore her until they got to the private aeroplane. Sienna eventually got tired of shouting and fell silent, which all 3 men were grateful for. She sulkily got out of the car and tried to make a run for it, but Declan caught up to her and threw her over his shoulder again.

“Point 9 of the contract. You will willingly attend any business arrangement where your presence is needed.” Declan stated and carried her into the aeroplane. The crew didn’t dare question him or try to help Sienna but pretended nothing unusual was happening.

“You agreed to this contract, Sienna. Now stop whining, or should I pull all my funds for your brother’s health care?” The billionaire asked and strapped her into the chair.

“No,” Sienna replied and decided to stop fighting. It was going to be a long flight.
