Aaron sat in the waiting room when Kian walked in. The billionaire was with Miss Chae-Soo, and he gave them some privacy to talk. The burns on his arms would leave scars, but he never regretted running in to help Sienna. Luckily he did because they saved Declan’s life.

“Aaron, hey. Thanks for letting me know that Declan is awake. I stopped the news from spreading about the fire. As far as the public knows, the fire was caused by a short circuit, and everyone got out as soon as it started. The witnesses have been paid to keep quiet.” Kian remarked and sat down next to Aaron. This was the first time they had seen one another since the night of the masquerade ball. 

“Thank you, Kian. I know Mr Foster wouldn’t want to truth to spread. It just causes unnecessary scandal.” Aaron stated.

“I’m glad to see you are still working for Mr Foster.” 

“I decided I could keep his secrets. I must say I was surprised when you also decided to stay. You surprised me, Mr van Zyl and congratulations on your promotion.”

“Oh, thanks. Yeah, wow, Mr Declan wants me to move up and eventually take over as head of FosterA in Australia.” Kian stated with a sigh. “I’m honoured but so stressed. The billionaire has so much faith in me, and I don’t want to disappoint.” 

“Just keep focused, and you obviously doing something right for him to think you are capable.” Aaron smiled, which made Kian blush. 

“I like you, Aaron.” Kian blurted, then looked away. “Sorry, I don’t even know why I just said that. I’m gay, if you haven’t realised, and I hope that doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable.”

“I’m not uncomfortable at all. I like you, as well. It’s new but exciting. You are the first man I’ve been attracted to.” Aaron added. He felt like a teenager all over again with how nervous he was. Kian was surprised and extremely happy to hear Aaron liked him in return. He looked back at Aaron with a voluminous smile on his face. 

“I can’t stop smiling.” Kian laughed and placed his hand on Aaron’s leg. 

“You better go check up on Mr Foster.” Aaron smiled, and Kian nodded, then got up. He walked a few steps, then turned around and walked back over to Aaron. 

“I, uhm…” He mumbled, then quickly leaned down and placed a short kiss on Aaron’s lips before walking off again. Aaron smiled as Kian walked away and felt like the kiss was the sweetest he had ever had. It felt so natural to be around Kian, and he loved how Kian always managed to touch him.

The occupants of the Foster mansion had all been booked into a hotel as they no longer had a house to live in. “I have to run back to my room.” Declan laughed and covered himself with a towel as they climbed out.

“Yup, you’ll love it.” He smiled and gave her a quick kiss before going back to his room. He checked his phone that was full of emails and missed calls, but for the first time in a while, he switched it off and decided today he would only focus on Sienna. 

They got dressed then giggled while walking down the passage like a bunch of teenagers. Aaron was in the reception area when they walked past and was surprised to see the couple holding hands. 

“We’ll be out for the day, Aaron,” Declan stated after greeting him.

“Should I accompany you, sir? For protection.” He asked, glanced over at Sienna, who waited by the door. 

“No need. Take the day off. I’ll make sure she is safe.” The billionaire remarked seriously and placed his hand on Aaron’s shoulder for a second before walking off to his fiancé. 

Aaron watched as the happy pair walked off. This was his first day off, and he knew exactly how he would spend it. With Kian. He called his number, and after a few seconds Kian picked up.

“Aaron, hello. I wasn’t expecting to hear from you today.” Kian happily said.

“You aren’t working today. I’m talking you out. I have the day off, so you are also taking the day off. Declan won’t be at work. Ditch work to spend time with me.” Aaron remarked, which made Kian laugh. 

“How can I say no to you?” He replied, and Aaron started smiling. It would be a good day, indeed.
