Chapter Three— Annoying Day

Galaxia's POV

I listened to some music on my playlist while reading through some files before drawing more sketches of designs I might produce next. Immediately I released this "in vogue" products, I started drawing new ones so I wouldn't have to rush later and because I had nothing else to do.

I suddenly remembered this lunch I was supposed to crash so I checked my wristwatch and saw it was already 12:45 p.m. I closed my sketchpad, took off my headphones and got up, grabbing my shades and putting them on.

I walked out of my office and saw my personal assistant standing and talking to my secretary. As soon as they saw me, my P.A. quickly looked down and started fiddling with her fingers and my secretary got back to whatever she was doing.

I ignored the both of them and walked straight to the elevator. I scanned my thumb again and the metallic door slid open. I walked in and my P.A. followed fearfully after. I'm pretty sure she was about to suffer a heart attack due to the fact that she would be alone with me in the elevator for about 5 minutes as we were at the top (38th floor) and were going to the ground floor. I spared her no glance whatsoever and just started scrolling through my phone.

We reached the ground floor, the elevator bell dinged and the door opened. I stepped out and everyone started bowing slightly as I walked past them each mumbling a "Good afternoon, miss Galaxia". I made a beeline to my car and Greg opened the backseat door for me to enter. He also opened the door for my P.A. and then entered the driver's seat himself. He started the car and drove us to this damned lunch.

Since my company was located in the busy parts of London, there were a lot of people on the streets going about their daily businesses. While looking at these people, my mind went back to the event that occurred ten years ago and a particular memory came to mind. I quickly looked away from the road and tried to distract myself with my phone.

The scar that incident left on me had not been forgotten till this very day. We arrived at the restaurant fifteen minutes later. Greg hurriedly got out of the car and opened the door for me while my P.A. stepped out. I walked straight into the restaurant and my P.A. followed like a lost puppy.

We head towards the counter and the guy at the counter without looking up, asked "Name?". As soon as I said my name, he looked up and stuttered like everyone else "G-good afternoon m-miss Galaxia".

I looked over at Crawford and she instantly looked down and said to the guy "t-the VIP section, please". The guy looked at her with sympathy. I hated all these emotions lurking around, so I cleared my throat and he immediately looked at me and said "ah yes ma'am, please f-follow me" and started directing us towards the elevator.

When we got to the so called VIP section, I immediately spotted the board of punks and made my way over to them. Immediately they spotted me, they stopped whatever conversations they were having and stood up straight.

I sat down, took off my shades as the waitress brought me a menu. I started going through it while they all just stood there looking at each other. I spoke lowly

"I heard some fools wanted me to have lunch with them". I closed the menu and looked up at them.

"So how much did you bribe Crawford with?" I asked my face and voice void of emotions.

"We didn't-" One of them started to say but I cut him off by raising my index finger.

"Save it. I came here to make it clear to you fools, don't you ever think you could control my life or dictate to me what I can or cannot do. If you ever try-"

"But miss Galaxia, we only thought that since you are the CEO and the brain behind this whole establishment, we could celebrate together, that's all. We have no ulterior motive".

I started to say but I was cut off by one of them. I WAS CUT OFF! No one, I mean no one cuts me off except my family and friends. I turned to him slowly and he was looking around at the others confused while they were looking at him with a "What have you done?" or "you are so dead" look. His eyes widened in realisation and his face went pale.

I suddenly stood, pushing my seat back and slamming my hands down on the table. I growled at him because I was fuming with anger. I'm pretty sure if I were a cartoon character, I'd have fumes coming out of my ears.

"Did you just interrupt me? YOU interrupted ME. How dare you?" He tried to speak but only a whimper could come out.

I was really trying to keep my anger at bay so I wouldn't do something I'd regret later. I grabbed a glass of water from the table and gulped it down. At this point, I knew that all eyes were on the scene presently unfolding.

I fisted my fingers and said to him "Get out, you're fired. I never want to see you ever again".

He was sweating profusely and he started pleading saying he was sorry and it would never happen again. He was starting to annoy me even more.

"Are you deaf? I said get out!" I shouted. "Security, security, where the hell are the security personnels of this restaurant?". I saw the security approaching and said to them "Get him out of my sight, now!".

He was still pleading while he was being dragged out. I turned to the others and said to them "I hope the memory of this event sticks to your brain. Remember this, anyone that messes with me or crosses my path will not go scot-free. I will make his or her life a living hell. Now, get out, all of you. I don't want to see your faces"

They stood there, rooted to their spots, still trying to take in what just happened. So I shouted "I said get out!" Having said that, they all practically ran towards the elevator.

The other customers and waiters were all watching me, so I glared at them and they looked away.

I sat down and poured myself a glass of water to drink. It relieved me a bit. I wish I had my headphones and music player here. While I was trying to calm down, I heard a hesitant female voice say "Good afternoon, miss Galaxia Arthur".

I thought she was a waitress so I said while massaging my temple as a headache was starting to form "leave, I don't want anything".

When I opened my eyes, I saw her feet still there, so I looked up at her and said "Are you deaf?" She smiled slightly in reply and I looked at her well to see she was not wearing a waiter's uniform. She looked very young and had an American accent.

Sensing that I did not know who she is but oblivious to the fact that I didn't care to know, she extended her hand for a handshake while introducing herself "I'm Ashley Crowne, daughter of Kate and Ron Crowne, sister to Asher Crowne of the Crowne's imports and exports company".

I just looked at her hand emotionlessly and said to her "last thing I remember, I asked neither of your autobiography nor your family history".

I stood up ready to leave, getting tired of this whole thing. I started to walk toward the elevator when she said boldly "I'd like to be partners with you in your fashion business".

I stopped in my tracks, turned back to face her, slightly taken aback by her outburst. I looked closely at her for any sign of amusement but she looked very serious. I walked close to her, she should be of the same height as Crawford or an inch taller.

I tucked a strand of hair behind her hair and she flinched slightly and looked down. I grabbed her chin and forced her to look at me. I spoke to her slowly, the way you'd speak to a kindergartener.

"Sweetie, awwwwn" I cooed. "Aren't you cute? Thinking you can just walk up to me and say 'I want to be partners with you in your fashion business' and I'd hug, kiss and throw a party to welcome you".

I grabbed her chin tighter, pulled her face closer to me and continued "If you think that would ever happen, then sweetie I must say you need to visit a psychiatrist because I think a screw up here" I said pointing to her head "is loose. Now honey, I have IMPORTANT things to do, so do not let me ever cross paths with you ever again in this lifetime. Now get back home to cuddle with mommy".

I let go of her chin, patted her head twice and turned towards the elevator putting on my shades. I left her crying in the restaurant. I entered my car and instructed Greg to drive me home. When I had left the restaurant, it was already evening, so when I arrived at home, it was already 9:30 p.m.

I went straight to my room, took a shower, put on my pajamas consisting of shorts and a matching crop top like blouse with nude pink and black details and head to the kitchen. I grabbed a tub of cookies 'n' cream and poured myself a bowl of chips, then went into my den to watch a movie. Today was made to piss me off. Well that was a typical annoying day for me.
