"Good morning," I spoke softly at the figure beside me.

Her eyes fluttered as they met mine. She smiled softly and spoke, "Good morning." She sounded weak and tired so I took the initiative to place the blanket on her.

"I will cook breakfast for us. Stay here and I will be back, okay?"

She nodded and smiled.

I went downstairs and began to prepare a meal for us.

I opened the fridge and got two eggs and from the kitchen cabinet, I grabbed a ready-to-make-and-cook pancake mix. While frying a sunny-side-up egg and cooking the pancake. I also decided to make a cup of caramel macchiato as I made her a glass of milk.

Beside the fridge was a foldable food tray. After cooking and cleaning up, I placed all the cooked meals and prepared drinks on the table. I slowly and carefully ascended so I would not spill the food nor break the plate or glass.

I pushed the bedroom door gently to not wake her up at once. I silently placed the food tray beside her. I leaned on her ear and whispered, "Sunshine, wake up, please."

Her eyes fluttered slowly as she groaned lightly which made me chuckle, "Five more minutes."

"You must eat," I spoke in a soft voice.

Her eyes opened eventually as she slowly got up. Her eyes landed on the tray of food that I got for her. She looked at me and smiled, "Thank you for preparing these for me. Let's eat!"

I fed her as I feed myself. She was smiling the whole time and even thanked me several times for taking care of her. I had drained most of her energy so I think it was right for me to take care of her in return.

The whole day, I was busy taking care of her. She would cuddle with me and we would watch or play games together. I looked at the sky as it was getting darker and darker. I knew it would rain so I called Monie.

"Hey, I am not going home--"

[It's fine. I know you miss Hebiana too much, plus, I am going to be busy checking these examination papers. Please take care.]

The call ended. I looked back at Hebiana who was staring innocently at me.

"Why?" I asked and chuckled at her innocent face.

"What did Monie say?"

"He will be busy checking the examination papers of his students."

"Oh, okay," she answered while prolonging the 'o' sound in the 'Oh'.

"He probably misses hanging out with you, but he is currently busy with his work," I said.

"I am sure that we could also find time to have bonding together!" she exclaimed with joy.

I chuckled at her bubbly and sweet behavior.

I was deeply and madly in love with this woman.

I woke up feeling alone on the bed. I was about to hug Hebiana when I did not feel her beside me. I opened my eyes and saw a messed up blanket. A frown formed in my face.

"Sunshine?" I called.

There was no answer. My voice echoed in the whole house, but a feeling of anxiety, fear, and worry crept into every fiber of my being.

'What if she left me?'

'What if she had finally given up?'

'Does she not love me anymore?'

I sighed and sat on the bedroom as my hand went through my hair, ruffling it and making it messier than it was.

The front door opened revealing Hebiana who was carrying two cartons of milk.

"Hey, you're awake already?" Hebiana asked as she placed the plastic bag on the table of the living room. She sat beside me, "Are you alright? You seemed troubled."

"I thought that you left me," I pulled her into a tight hug as if I had not seen her for a decade.

"Hey," she patted my back gently. "I would never leave you, alright?"

"Thank you," I whispered.

"I love you, Cody."

My heart pumped faster the moment she said that. A smile immediately formed in my lips.

"I love you too."

She gently pushed me away and held my hand, "I wanted some strawberry milk so I went to a mini shop nearby."

I nodded at her, "No worries. Maybe, I am just being paranoid."

She frowned, "Hey, do not be apologetic about it. You are not paranoid. You were just worried. I did not bother waking you up because I thought you were tired taking care of me and cooking meals for me. I wanted you to have a proper rest."

I smiled at her thoughtfulness. She may be childish and funny, but most of the time, she could be the most caring human being and I could even attest to it.

"I want to prepare meals for you, can I do that?" she smiled at me.

I nodded as I watched her figure run like a kid towards the kitchen. I could hear her sing and do some dancing while cooking. I could not help but chuckle from time to time.

'I do really love her.' I said to myself as I was really entertained watching her, not realizing that I was smiling the whole time until I felt pain in my cheeks and jaw.

"Aww," I groaned lightly, feeling the pain.

"Cody!" Hebiana called me from the kitchen. "I am done cooking!"

I stood up from the couch and went to the dining room. I saw a scrambled egg with potatoes, Caesar salad, and a glass of orange juice and a glass of strawberry milk.

"Thank you," I smiled at her.

"You are always welcome."

Two days had passed and I enjoyed staying with Hebiana. I actually decided to stay in for a few more nights. We cleaned the house, sent the beddings and the curtains into the laundry, and went shopping for food and personal necessities. At times, we would play video games then cook food. We would cuddle all night without being sexually active.

I respect her and I would want to make love with her only when she wants too.

I was busy preparing lunch when I felt a pair of arms around me.

"Hey, Sunshine. You might get burnt," I reminded her as her hand was also near a hot pot.

"I am fine," she said. Even if I could not see her, I knew she was pouting.

I turned off the stove and faced her.

"I love you," I smiled at her.

"I love you too."

I leaned and placed my lips on hers. We were moving in synched and I was actually getting out of my sanity when a voice stopped us.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!"

I immediately looked at the person who spoke.

"W-Wait who are you?" I asked getting confused.

I rubbed my eyes and blinked several times. I even slapped and pinched myself, thinking everything was a dream.

In front of me were two Hebiana. I looked at the two women and frowned.

"Who are you?" I asked both of them.

"I am Hebiana," the woman who came in spoke in a shaking voice.
