Picking up her bag she looked at the closed door and quickly came outside, locking the door she sat in the back seat of cab and gave the driver address. Glancing at the wrist watch she checked the time, she was hoping to come back before her mother woke up from her two hours nap.

The car stopped in front of the white mansion, she was awfully familiar with. She told the driver to wait for her while she went inside. There was no one in the living room when she entered. She quickly ascended the stairs. She knew beforehand that was no one was home except her grandmother. She took a deep breath and opened the door.

A frown kissed heemr features when she found the room empty. She turned around to leave but saw him coming out of the bathroom, she stopped.

"Mujhay tum se iss bewaqoofi ki umeed nahi thi"

(I wasn't expecting this foolishness from you)

"Kis bewaqoofi ki? "

(What foolishness?)

"Tum achi tarha jantay ho mai kis baray mai baat kar rahi hun"

( You know very well what i am talking about)

"Tumhein kya lagta hai tum baron ko beech mai laon ge aur mai maan jao gi?"

( What do you think that you'll drag the elders in this matter and I'll agree?)

"Band karo ye tamasha"
( Stop this nonsense)

"Aap meri mohabbat ki toheen kar rahi hein"
(You're insulting my love)

"Nahi Azghaan, toheen tum ne ki hai hamare rishte ki"

(No Azghaan, you insulted our relationship)

There was something in her voice, a pain behind it. Azghaan watched. He watched her eyes. Then he knew. The anger was nothing but a shield of pain.

"Kya chahti hein aap?
(What do you want?
)

He watched her brown eyes, her slightly red face, her full lips. Everything called to him. He wanted to quench his thirst but she wasn't letting him. He loved her more than anything. But he didn't want to force his love on her.

"Ye sab kuch jo tumnay shuru kiya hai, issay khatam karo"

(Stop this, whatever you have started)

"Thek hai, aur kuch? "
(Alright, anything else?
)

He asked so softly that she swallowed sharply. Not knowing what to say, she turned around to leave his room.

"Ek baat to bataye? "
(Tell me one thing?
)

She stopped but didn't turn around to face him.

"Apko shaadi hi nahi karni, ya mujh se nahi karni? "

(Do you even want to get married or you just don't want to marry me?)

She blinked back the tears and rushed out of his room quickly. There was no strength left in her to face him after hurting him so much.

ONE MONTH LATER

There was silence around her. Not a comfortable silence. It was different kind of silence. Everything felt numb. Pain knocks on the door and walks right in, the visitor that leaves in their own time.

A lump formed in her throat, as she closed her eyes sharp pain lanced through her chest. A pain that was never going away. No length of time or distance could spare her from this pain.

Tears stinged her eyes as images of previous night ringed in her mind. Clasping her hands together she willed herself to hold tight.

"Dani"

His voice reached her ears making her glance flicker upwards. Her eyes landed on him. He was rushing towards her, her Taya behind him.

As he came closer, she felt her resolve turning to ash. Traitorous tears fell down her eyes. She stood up for the chair slowly and wrapped her arms around him. His face pained and he cast a worried glance at his father.

"Abu aap Dr se mil aye "
(Father you go and see the doctor)

Azghaan was worried seeing her like this. She looked so broken. Never in his life he had seen her like this. She was always so composed. She never cried like this, not even when her father left them. He carefully wrapped his arms around her and sat with her on the bench.

"Dani chup kar jayein, sab thek ho jaye ga"

(Dani stop crying, everything will be alright)

Swallowing back a sob she shook her head, closing her eyes tightly.

"Maine... Mai unhay bohat bura kaha... Meri wajah se sab hoa hai"

(I... I said so many bad things to her.. Everything happened because of me)

Gasps left her lips, as she struggled to breath. Her chest wasn't letting her speak but she needed to tell him. His hold tightened on her as he rubbed her back. Her sobs were getting louder and louder.

"Kuch nahi ho ga chachi ko, wo thek ho jaye gi. Mai paani le kar ata hon apke liye"

(Nothing will happen to aunt, she'll be alright. I'll go and get some water for you.)

Before he could get up, she clutched his arm. And shook her head at him.

"Mat jao"
(Don't go)

She whispered softly, he nodded his head and sat besides her. She hiccuped as more tears fell down. His hands wiped her cheeks while he closed his own eyes pulling her in his chest.

"Please stop crying Dani"

But it wasn't in her control, she couldn't stop it. The whole scene played again and again in her mind.

She opened her eyes and looked at her Taya who was coming their way. She stood up quickly.

"Ami kesi hein Taya Abu? "

(How is mother doing Uncle?)

She painfully uttered those words. He looked at Azghaan who was standing behind her and patted her head.

"Wo thek hein ab, tumhein bula rahi hein, jao mil lo un say."

(She's alright, go and see her she's calling you)

She clutched her duppata tightly in her hands and slowly walked towards the room where her mother was. Wiping her tears completely she breathed slowly and pushed the door open.

Her face was covered with an oxygen mask. Monitors were showing her vitals. Daneen crept towards her slowly, and took ger fragile hand in hers kissing softly on the back.

"Ami"

She called out in a hoarse voice. Her mother opened her eyes slowly and nodded at her.

Pain hit her strongly across chest as she took in her mother's form. Her lips trembled as the tears sshhe tried so hard to keep at bay feell down her cheeks.

"Ami mujhay maaf kar dein"

(Mother please forgive me)

Daneen cried softly and kissed her forehead.

"Daneen.. Meri ek baat mano gi? "
(Can you something for me?
)

"Aap jo kahein gi mai karun gi, bolein"

( I'll do whatever you say)

She whispered softly, seeing her mother staring at her with hope in her eyes.

"Azghaan se shadi kar lo"

(Get married to Azghaan)

______________________________________

There were voices around her but she was feeling numb. There were no feelings inside her. She was staring at the floor. Blinking her eyes she felt as if the room was closing in around her. Standing abruptly, she rushed out of the room wanting to catch some fresh air.

She reached the lawn outside the hospital and took big gulps of air. Trying to normalise her breathing. She turned around and saw him standing behind her.

Her breathing halted for a split second seeing his dark eyes. Her arms turned heavy all of a sudden. She felt sweat forming in her palms.

It was as though the world stopped as they stared at each other.

"Dad rukein ge yahan. Ghar chalein hein hum. Apko aram ki zarorat hai"

( Dad will stay here. Let's go home. You need rest)

Azghaan spoke softly, he knew she was in shock. They got married in such haste that it was very difficult for her to accept anything. Her mother's condition wasn't good. She wanted them to get married as soon as possible. So they had a small nikaah in the hospital with just her mother and Azghaan's father present there.

"Maine sirf apni maa ki waja se tum se nikkah kiya hai"

(I only married you because of my mother)

She spat angrily making him tense. A dark smile fell across his face. He walked towards her and traced a finger down her jaw making her breath hitch.

"Mujhy is say farak nahi parta. Ab aap meri hein"

(It doesn't matter to me. Now you are finally mine)
