It had been two weeks since he came back. She stayed in her room most of the times, avoiding him at all costs. Only came out when it was really necessary like for lunch or dinner or when she went to Agha jaan's study to lost herself in the world of poetry and literature.

Today's lunch was prepared by her on Agah jaan's wish. It consisted of all of his favorite dishes. The three of them were sitting on the dining table having their lunch. Agha Jaan was praising her cooking and telling Asfandyar about her, how she took care of him and her infamous cooking which he was a fan of.

She was observing him discreetly while he was busy listening to Agha Jaan. His sharp jaw, chin and cheekbones, his straight nose and two blazing grey eyes. His dark brows currently furrowed in a frown. She let out a shaky breath at sight of her man.

She spluttered out the water from her mouth and coughed loudly catching their attention. Agha jaan gave her some tissues and she dried her mouth and table. Her cheeks flushed suddenly. Where did that thought came from? She gulped and looked up seeing his blazing grey eyes trained on her. She bit her bottom lip and lowered her head.

"Kuch baat karni hai aap dono se"
( I want to talk about something, with both of you)

Agha Jaan said loudly catching their attention. She placed the wet tissue on the table and pulled the glass to her mouth, taking a few sips of water she placed it on the table and turned towards Agha Jaan giving her full attention.

"Hamare dost Mubariz, unke potay ki shadi hai.
( My friend Mubariz, his grandson is getting married)

Asfandyar nodded his head. He knew Mubariz Khan, since his childhood. He was very close friend of Agha Jaan.

"Maine keh diya tha mai to beemar hun aa nahi sakun ga, Asfandyar aur Zar Wareen zaror aye ge."

( I told him that i am not well, so i won't be able to attend but Asfandyar and Zar Wareen will surely come)

They both looked at him in shock. Asfandyar straightened his shoulders and tried to speak but Agha Jaan cut him off.

"Maine wada kiya hai us say"
(I promised him)

Agha Jaan looked him in the eyes for a minute and then turned towards his food.

Asfandyar looked at her, she appeared as if she wanted to say something but remained silent. He noticed her nervousness and the way her delicately arched eye brows came together.

When she looked up she saw two grey orbs gazing at her intently, she flushed and began to bite viciously on the inside of her cheek. Asfandyar stood up and grabbed his phone off the table, after informing Agha Jaan about his plans for the day he left dining room.

After he was out of sight only then she raised her head and looked at Agha Jaan who was busy eating his food with a mischievous grin on his face.

What are you trying to do Agha Jaan?

She thought and resumed eating her food.

Entering through double wooden doors, he placed his car keys on the table placed just beside the door. He took off his boots near the staircase not wanting to take the dirt and snow inside with his boots. He wore his slippers and went upstairs.

He had gone outside after lunch. He wanted to see the city and just reminisce his past. He went to all the places he used to visit with his little brother. There was a void in his heart which was never gonna be filled.

He entered his room but stopped at the threshold when he saw a feminine figure standing in the room.

"What are you doing here? "

His booming voice caught the woman's attention. She turned around in surprise and looked at the broad shouldered man behind her. His demeanor contrasted sharply with his features, his large expressive eyes and full mouth. He was ruggedly handsome but in that moment bitterly severe, which ruined the overall pleasing effect of his appearance.

" I expect an answer to my question "

She looked up into a pair of angry, peering grey eyes. She swallowed noisily. His voice was glacial like his eyes. She opened her mouth minutely and closed it, staring into unblinking grey eyes, her own eyes wide and frightened.

"Wo... mai... Agha Jaan bula rahay hein apko"
(Agha jaan is calling you)

She mumbled and clenched her fist tightly, his eyes followed her movements and zeroed on her hands. He walked towards her slowly, discarding his coat and throwing it on the bed, he inched closer to her.

He was wearing grey sweater underneath which fit him snugly, she could see the hard muscles underneath from his shirt. She gulped slowly and looked up when he was just an inch away from her.

His eyes swung to her, to her pale face and long lashes, her thin white fingers clutching a bottle of medicine. He grabbed her right hand and pulled out the bottle of medicine from her grasp, placing it on the side table he turned towards her. He was still holding her hand, he couldn't help but marvel at how small her hands were in comparison to his.

He noticed the veins in her neck began to pulsate slightly as heart rate quickened. She gazed up at him with her green eyes, her hand was still in his grasp. She slowly took her hand out of his grasp and walked towards the door.

"Next time think twice before going through my things"

He glanced at the small bottle that was the cure of his insomnia.

She released a breath slowly and then walked out closing the door behind her softly. She leaned against it and closed her eyes.

It was past midnight and even after taking pills, he couldn't sleep. Agha Jaan's word ranging in his mind. Agha Jaan had messed up his mind pretty bad. He couldn't stop thinking about what he said. He groaned loudly and stood up.

His steps taking him to study. He thought if he was gonna stay up all night better spend it doing some thinking productive. He loved reading books when he was young, he and Agha jaan spend hours reading in the study without a care in the world. He smiled softly when he remembered the lovely times.

He opened the door but what he saw completely floored him. She was curled up in a chair like a kitten. Her eyes closed. Her mouth partially open. Her cheeks flushed with sleep, her chest rising and falling slowly, soothingly. There was a book lying on the the floor, it must have fallen down when she fell asleep.

He walked towards her, slowly bending he grabbed the book, reading the title a smirk rested on his lips. Little miss innocent enjoyed erotic romance. He placed the book on the table and looked at her closely. Her hair tied at the back, her pink lips parted partially. His eyes fell on her milk white throat, he could clearly see the pulse throbbing.

"Biwi hai wo tumhari, haq hai uska tum par"

(She is your wife, she has rights on you)

There was a soft siren call that sent a thrill coursing up and down his back.

Agha Jaan's words whirring in his minds.

Gazing up at her, he knew that if he stayed everything would change. He knew that if he touched her, he wouldn't be able to resist the urge-the undeniable and primal urge to claim her. Her scent heavy in warm too close space. He wasn't going to violate his morals for salacious satisfaction with his lawfully wedded wife.

He sighed and turned around towards bookshelf, trying to busy himself elsewhere. He looked through the countless books trying to find a one worth spending his time. He took out a Persian poetry, reading a few pages he placed it back and took out another one, a journal fell out on the floor with a thud. He cursed and picked the book up placing it back he turned around and saw two green orbs staring at him wide eyed.

She blinked rapidly and when her vision cleared she stood up from the chair and cowered in confusion. She was stunned. She had been dreaming of him moments before. And now he was here.

"I didn't mean to wake you up, sorry"

His voice much softer than before, the fire was gone now.

He picked up a book and turned around to leave.

"Mai Agha jaan ko mana kar dun gi"
( I will refuse Agha jaan)

He turned around slowly looking at the green eyed girl staring at him. He cocked his head to side.

"Agar ap chahy to mai Agha jaan ko keh dun gi mai nahi jana chahti shadi pe."

( If you want, i will tell Agha jaan that i don't want to go to the wedding)

He clenched the book tightly. Her eyes flew up to his, measuring his reaction. He took two steps towards her. She was pale. He didn't know why. Perhaps she was hungry or not quite awake. The room was warm very warm. Her face was flushed. Her eyes darted up to his grey orbs.

"Agha Jaan chahte hein ham jayein. Isliye ham jayein ge.
( Agha jaan wants us to go, so we will go)

Their eyes met, for long. Her warm green ones clashing with his cold grey ones. Something was exchanged on both sides.
