The next day. I entered the office wearing a big smile.

"I smell something fishy" Alex teased. "What happened, huh? Tell me"

"Chill, Alex. There's nothing happened" I answered.

"I don't believed you. I know, you're hiding something" she started to poke me.

"Fine, fine" I said, surrendered. "The date was great. He treated me nice"

"Omg. That's great. Hope to see you and Dani together" my eyes widen when he said Dani's name. I almost forgot about him. All I remembered was the date Jarred and I shared.

"Hope so" I said while faking a smile.

I sighed. I can't tell her what happened. I can't tell her what I felt about our boss.

"Ma'am Lou, sir Jarred is looking for you" one of our coworker said.

"Thank you" I said then immediately walked towards our manager's office. "Good morning sir"

"Here" he slowly move small box in his table. "It's kind a late but, happy birthday"

"S-sir, you don't need to--" he cut my words.

"I want to, just accept it" he answered.

"Thank you sir" I said.

He suddenly look at me like he want to say something.

"Sir?" I asked. He chuckled.

"Am I obvious?" I nodded. "Well, I need your help but never mind. You may go"

I'm confused. He never talked to me like that. He always say what he wants.

"What's that?" Alex pointed the box I was holding.

"Sir Jarred gave me this" I answered.

"Open it" she said. I sat down at my chair before opening the box. It was a black mini box with a white ribbon.

"Wow" I said while looking at the necklace inside the box.

"Omg, what's the meaning of this" Alex shriek a bit as she amused of what we were looking at.

"It was he's birthday gift" I said. Alex stared at me wearing a suspicious smile. "Geez, Alex. This is just a gift"

"Why so defensive? I wasn't saying something" she said.

"But, your looking at me as if-- never mind" I surrendered. I immediately fix the gift and put it inside my bag.

"It's fine if you like him, Steffy. He's single, you're single. Matched" I pitched her cheeks.

"Your too malicious" I commented.

She just shrugged while laughing.

This girl. I guess she knew.

"Our boss gave us a short vacation since we performed great this last month. It was a two days, one night vacation at the beach in batangas" Sir Jarred said after standing at the center of our office. The whole department people was screaming happily after hearing the good news.

"I need to buy new swimsuit" Alex said. "Let's go shopping at our rest day"

"Sure" I answered.

Since the good news announced, most of our department people was been actively working as if giving their best for some bonus.

"I already emailed the PR department about the their cctv adjustment, I also done filing reports from last week" I said after bringing some papers that he need.

"That's great. You may go" he said without looking at me.

Our department isn't busy but since last week, I noticed that he become more serious. Is he stressed?

"Ma'am Lou, the Accounting department head was looking for you" one of my coworkers said.

"Why?" I asked. He shrugged. "It must be serious, since she personally went here"

"I guess not. I heard that their telephone was accidentally crushed yesterday" I just nodded and mouthed thank you before walking toward my station.

"Good morning ma'am Aleja" I greeted her with a smile. "Is their anything we can do for you?"

"Good morning miss Lou. I just want to know, why does the cctv in my department still isn't working? I already told your department manager that the cctv in Accounting department need to be done asap " Mrs. Aleja said. The Accounting department head.

"I'm sorry ma'am, we're just busy lately. I'll sending some men to fix your department cctv" I answered.

"Thank you then. I'll go ahead" she said.

I confusedly look at our department manager's office. He doesn't tell us about that. Is he forgot? Is he even ok?

"Steffy, I saw mrs. Aleja, is their any serious problem in her department?" Alex said after returning from the lobby for some surveillance.

"Not really serious. It just that, their cctv isn't working" I said. We started again our duties but even I was working, I still worried about him.

Our rest day came. Alex and I decided to meet at the shopping district near my place.

"Dani, you're here too" I fake a smile after seeing Alex together with her boyfriend and Dani.

"Alex invited me, I hope it was ok for you" he said. I looked at Alex with a sarcastic smile. She just chuckled.

"Of course, it's ok. I'm actually glad to see you" I said. He smiled.

"That's great. Shall we?" Alex said then dragged her boyfriend.

I sighed heavily looking at the swimsuits. I'm not some sort of sexy woman, I'm just petite.

"That's cute. You can try that Steffy" Alex said while also holding a swimsuit.

"I can't imagine myself wearing two piece swimsuit. I think it won't fit me" I sighed.

"Enough with that thought, let's go to the fitting rooms" she dragged me into the fitting room. "You done?" she knocked at the door.

"I am" I said.

"Let us see" she said. I slowly opened the door of the fitting room and shyly looked at them.

"Wow, it suits you. You looked great" Dani commented while admiring me.

"T-thank you" I said, smiling.

"You're sexy" Alex commented. "Don't look at her babe. She's too sexy for you" she added while laughing at her boyfriend.

"You guys are here too-- wow, you're hot ma'am Lou" Rod said. One of our coworkers. I smiled at him. "Sir, look. Our admins are here too"

"Hi sir Jarred" Alex greeted him. He just nodded at her then look at me. He look at me from head to toe as if he's scanning me.

"You should changed. It doesn't suits you" he said, seriously.
