"Miss Lou, I already read all the reports and I saw some problems" he said while looking at me. "Come here, look at this"

He pointed all the places where the range of cctv can't reached. He also pointed the difference exit and hallways that don't had a lot of people.

"We should provide security men here to guard since some rival companies become more aggressive" he explained. I noted all the important things he said.

"Miss Lou, are you free tonight?" he asked. I nodded.

I'm really free this night and I know this is about work so, I guess it's fine.

"Then stay overtime. I need your help through investigation in our cafeteria. I received reports that our food was the cause of our employees sickness" he said. "I guess, there's something wrong in our supplies"

"But sir, I'm not part of the investigation section" I answered.

"I don't care. You're good at gathering datas. Besides, we're lacking of people now" he explained.

"I understand" I replied before taking my leave.

He's been our department manager for almost two months now, and I must say that he's really hard working and clever person. If maybe he's a bit kind, I'll fall for him.

My whole day was become more busy due to lacked of personnel in our department. There's really a crisis.

"Are you ok, Alex?" I asked after seeing how pale Alex is. "Omg, you're burning"

"I suddenly felt ill" she said.

"I'll tell sir Jarred about this, so you can go home now" I run towards his office. Knocked the door then entered. "Excuse me sir"

"What is it?" he said while massaging his forehead.

"Miss Alex Co is suddenly burning in fever. Can we sent her home sir?" I asked. He looked at me, then sighed.

"Go ahead" he answered.

"Sir, are you ok?" I asked. He still massaging his forehead.

"I'm good. You may go" he said but I refused. I walked towards him and hold his hand to make him stopped.

"I'll be back" I said, smiling. I run back to Alex and help her to her things. "Be safe, you too" I added pointing our other coworker who'll going to send Alex home.

"Thanks Steffy" she said while holding her bag.

"We're going, ma'am" our coworker said. I nodded at her then walked back in our department manager's office.

"Miss Lou, you don't need to do anything. This is a personal problem" he said. I walked towards him, ignoring what he said.

"Just relax sir" I said and start massaging his head from his behind.

He sighed. "You're not mad at all?"

"I'm not mad. I just don't like how you see me as if I'm hopeless" I explained.

"I'm sorry" I smiled. "I really sorry" he added.

"Hush sir, everything's fine" I said. Not even long, I heard him snoring softly. "You're tired yet still working" I commented, smiling.

I looked at his face before leaving his office. I can't deny the fact that our department manager is really is handsome.

"I overslept" he said after looking at his watch. It's already 10 pm and all our coworkers already left. "You didn't wake me up"

"You looked tired, so I let you rest" I answered as if I was his mother. Well, I felt I sounds like one.

My eyes widen after seeing him pouting his lips. This is my first time seeing him like that, it's weird since it wasn't his personality yet he looks cute.

"I'm sorry, I made you stayed so late" he said while fixing some papers in his table.

"It's fine. I told you, I'm free tonight" I answered. "By the way. You asked my help for another investigation, right?"

"Yeah, but we can do it tomorrow, since it's already late" he said.

"I already contacted our food suppliers and they said that it wasn't possible that there something wrong in there supplies. But, we need to be sure so I bring some ingredients in our investigation section as samples. The result will be tomorrow, so let just wait for now"

"You really is amazing, don't you?" he smiled. "Thank you. You're a big help"

Omg. This is so weird. I felt my heart beats fast when he smiled. It just a smile yet I felt really weird.

The next morning. Alex is absent. I can't help sir Jarred today since I was alone in the admin section. Yes, we're the only admin in our department.

"Ma'am Lou, did you received my email?" I looked at my coworker, Ben who's standing in front of my table.

"Yep. I'm actually filing now your reports" I answered.

"Thank you. I know you had a lot of works to do" he smiled.

"This still part of my job so no worries" I answered while still typing.

"Miss Lou, the results are already out. Do you want to check it? Or I'll take it now to sir Jarred?" Rod said. He's the team leader of the investigation section.

"Just bring the results to sir. Thank you" I said while still focusing in my work.

Since I was alone, all the data gathered by the different section in our department was transferred to me. I need to accomplish all the filing, checking and emailing today without delay.

"At last, I'm done" I stretched my arms up high while taking a deep breath.

I looked at the wall clock inside our office and it already past 8 in the evening. Our works ended 8 pm everyday but a lot of employees especially in our department always working til' late night to make the works done.

"Goodbye guys" I said to my coworkers while fixing my things. "Don't push yourself to much, ok"

"Thanks ma'am Lou. Take care in your way home" Ben said.

While walking at the parking space, I saw sir Jarred standing behind a post.

"Hush" he said, quietly when I about to call him. "That guy near the entrance. He's not from our company. "

I looked at the guy he pointed and I'm shocked knowing who is it.

"Sir, that's the former Security department manager. Mister Kid Sanchez" I said.

"I see. What is he doing here?" he asked himself.

"I can talked to him" I offered. He looked at me, irritatedly. "He's been my colleague for almost two years so don't worry"

"Fine, but be safe" he pat my head.

Is this really him? Why do I feel like he is being kind to me?
