Since the whole department except in admin section are busy due to company rivals aggressiveness, sir Jarred surrendered and accept my help.

"No other clues left?" he asked. It's already past 9 yet we're still at his office.

"Yes sir, and I didn't saw any trace of blood or anything in a car" I explained. "I believed you already checked the cctv so all I did was to checked the HR department to know who are those employees who got fired recently"

"I see" he sound bored.

"Here is the list of them and all the information about them" I gave him the list of name of all employees who got fired from two months ago til' now.

"Good. You may go" he said without looking at me. He looks focused at the list while typing something at his computer.

He looks professional yet I think he still a spoiled brat who loves to ordered someone.

The next morning. Everyone in our department was happy. They also praising our department manager. Sir Jarred Mendez, who quickly solved the incident yesterday.

"Sir Jarred really is amazing, don't you think?" Alex said while typing in her computer.

"I think, it was just normal since he's our manager" I answered. "But compared to our former manager, I must say, he's more clever" I added.

I sarcastically laughed. "You really like him, don't you Alex?"

"No, he's just handsome but he's not my type and besides, I'm too old for him" she said smiling.

Alex is a three years older than me and already dating someone.

"How about you? Don't you like him?" she added.

"I don't. I'm not into guys who's younger than me" I answered.

"That sad" she stopped her work and whispered to my ears. "What do you think if I set you up in a date with someone older than you?"

"What? Why do you suddenly asked" I said. "Well, you never date someone and your birthday is coming two months later, so I think, I should help you find a guy you should like" I look away and sighed.

"You don't need to do that. I'm fine" I answered.

"Are you done with your works?" our attention catch by the manly voice in front of us. We automatically stand and greet him. "It isn't break, yet you two are doing chitchat"

"We're sorry sir" we both said.

"By the way, I don't take all the credits, the CEO knew what you done for him and he said thank you" he said. I smiled at him and bow my head. "Please orient yourself not to bow at me again. You're more older than me"

"I'm sorry sir but that's the rules of the company. Whether the head's younger or not, we still need to bow our head" I explained.

"Then, make me an exception. I don't like it" he said before leaving our place.

"Stubborn" I commented after I sat.

"What? Who's stubborn?" my eyes widen when I heard his voice again. "Is it me?"

"N-no sir, it was nothing" I said while faking a smile. "Do you need something?"

"No, I just forgot to tell that I need the copy of security report for last month" he said. "I'm leaving"

"I'll bring the report at your office" I answered then started looking for the report last month.

"Does he know how to smile?" I heard Alex talking.

"I guess not" I answered. I organized the report before bringing it to sir Jarred.

"Here's the report, sir" I said while putting the folder in his desk.

"Thank you" he replied. I'm about to leave when he asked something. "Am I really stubborn?"

What to say? Do I need to say yes? But he's my boss.

"Am I, right?" he sighed when I didn't answer.

"May I asked something. Are you a lesbian?" he asked innocently. I almost curse him. Do I looks like a lesbian to him?
