Day past and every night, after work, I keep on practicing doing house works. I felt so tired, physically.

"Steffy, you don't look good. Is there anything happened?" Alex said after poking me at my back.

Since our department isn't busy and didn't have a lot of work today. I decided to rest my head at my desk for a while.

"I'm good. I'm just a bit tired" I answered, honestly. "By the way, about our talked last time--" she cut my words.

"I'm about to say that now. I already find a guy for you. It was my friend way back in college and I can assure you that he's a good man" she said, lively. I want to tell her what I felt towards sir Jarred but I'm afraid of what she might say since sir Jarred was our boss. "And by the way, I already arranged your dinner date at the five-star hotel tomorrow night"

Wtf! She was already done the arrangement. What should I do? Should I tell her to cancel the date? But, she'll be sad if I told that since she already exerted her efforts for this.

"You did? That's great. Thank you" I answered while faking a smile. I guess I don't have a chose.

"You're always welcome Steffy" she said. "And happy birthday"

I smile, genuinely. "Thank you"

We hugged each other.

Tomorrow, I will turn 30 years old yet I'm still single.

"Miss Lou, I'll be out for tomorrow so if someone looks for me, tell them that I had an important appointment" he said after calling me at my station.

"Yes sir" I answered.

Actually, I do want to ask him what's that important appointment he'll be attending but I think, he doesn't want to say it.

The next morning, Our department was calmed again. No incident nor any complaints.

"Happy birthday ma'am Lou" my coworkers greeted me.

"Thank you" I said, smiling.

"Are you ready for your date?" Alex said after I sat at my chair behind her.

"I guess" I said. "I'm a bit nervous"

"Don't worry, Dani was a good man" she said. "And take note, he's handsome"

I sighed. "I really don't know what to say. I don't know if he will like me or not"

"Steffy, you're beautiful. How come he doesn't?" she cheered me up. "And besides, whether you'll like him or not, it's fine. Just enjoy the night. Ok?"

I nodded.

After my work, I decided to go to a salon before coming to date, Alex arranged.

"You looked fabulous" the hairdresser commented after fixing my hair.

"Thank you" I said before leaving.

The moment I step into the entrance hall of the hotel, I saw a handsome guy wearing a blue polo, he looks exactly the same from the photo Alex sent me.

Alex sent me a photo of her friend and she told me that she also sent my photo to my date so I guess, he wouldn't see me as a suspicious person.

"Hi" I greeted him. He gazed at me. "You're Dani, right?" I asked.

"A-ah, yeah and you're Stefanie" he said. I nodded. "Shall we?" he offered his arm to me while wearing a sweet smile.

"Sure" I accepted his offer.

"Alex told me a lot about you" he said while we are eating. "I guess, she really likes you"

"You think so?" I laughed a little. "Maybe because she saw me as her little sister or such since we're always together in work"

"Maybe, but I guess, it was because you're approachable and nice to be with" he commented. "I really feel at home talking to you"

"Thanks to my trainer, my mom who always loves to have a party when I was a little. She makes me escort her guests and entertain them while she was busy" I said. He laughed.

"I should thank her then. She a great trainer" he said.

Our dinner date was great. I never felt bored because of his stories and he's really is a gentleman.

"Thanks for tonight, Stefanie" he said after walking me til' bus stop. "Happy birthday"

"No, thank you. You made my day" I said, smiling. "And, thank you for the gift" I added.

"No problem" he said, smiling. "Is it fine if we see each other again?" he asked. I nodded.

It was really fine. He's nice to be with and he's not a bad person.

"Goodbye then" I said when a bus stop in our front.

"Goodbye, take care" he said while waving his hand.

Today was a great day, I turned 30 successfully and I met someone who can befriend but, their someone missing. I miss him. I never saw him the whole day.

I hope to see him before this day end but I guess, it's impossible--

"You didn't tell me that it was your birthday, today" a manly voice catches my attention.

I turned my back to confirm who he is.

He was standing behind me, looking at the paper bag I was holding. It was the gift, Dani gave me.

"S-sir Jarred. Why are you on the bus? Where's your car?" I asked.

"It's a long story. So, today is your birthday?" he said. I nodded. "Want to have a snack with me tonight? My treat"

"I want to, but it's already late, don't you think sir?" I said. He sighed.

"I see, I'm just kind a bored today" he said, sadly.

"Then, treat me in a barbeque shop" I said, smiling. He suddenly smirked at me.

"Your day, your choice" he pats my head.

Today was a great day-- no, a perfect day.
