Chapter 4 Meeting

Ellen took a deep breath. Chase's behavior had caused her to forget that she had something important to tell her mother.

"Oh, God. My patience was truly tested by that man." Ellen pressed her head, which was dizzy from being angry at Chase earlier.

When she was about to enter the house, her steps became heavy; there was no Chase to interrupt her conversation with her mother. She had to tell Rowena the bad news tonight. Ellen had to express that they would be in even more trouble after this, despite her inability to bear seeing her mother's disappointed expression. Ellen will receive no base salary or tip from the hotel. If Ellen had to work, she could only get a part-time job that didn't pay as well as working in a hotel.

"Have you cleared up the misunderstanding with Chase?" Rowena asked.

Ellen inhaled deeply. Ellen's doubts returned after witnessing her mother's delight. How could that possibly break Rowena's spirit right now?

"Can we talk, Mother?"

Ellen instantly silenced her mother. The woman had no idea what her daughter was saying. Rowena's guess that Ellen wanted to talk was about Chase.

"What do you want to talk about?" She asked while looking at her daughter.

Ellen began by approaching an old dining chair. Because it was older, everyone in the family preferred to spend time there rather than on the sofa Chase was sitting on.

"I didn't bring any strangers, if that's what you want to talk about, Ellen."

Ellen slowly shook her head. Her heart beating so fast. Her mood was even more chaotic because her mother had mentioned Chased again. Ellen didn't care about what Chase was doing right now. She didn't want her mother to hear the bad news she was about to give her.

"Please, Mother, stop bringing up that man. There are more important things for you to know right now. And, according to the man, his name is Chase, not cheese. If you happen to run into her by chance, don't say it wrong again."

Rowena waved her hand, signaling that she wanted Ellen to finish her sentence about Chase if that wasn't the man they were going to talk about.
"So, if it's not Cheese, tell me what you want to say."

Ellen becomes irritated with her mother for failing to call Chase's exact name. But Ellen ignored that part to quickly convey her condition.

"Mom, I... got fired from the hotel where I worked." She said in a low tone.

Rowena was now looking at Ellen with the corners of her lips drooping, as opposed to responding to the talk about Chase. Rowena's face instantly turned pale. She looked so surprised and she can't even talk at the news that I said to her. This is why Ellen is unable to express the news that she has been fired from the hotel. Her mother expected her to be able to work long hours at the hotel. Unfortunately, fate was not on Elen's side.

"What? You mean you're not working anymore? Ellen, I see." Finally Rowena spoke in a trembling tone.

What could they do without Ellen's work? So far, Ellen has replaced Alberto's position to meet the needs of their needy families. What will their situation be in the future if there is no job that can guarantee their daily living?

"I knew this would be difficult, Mother. But I will look for work—"

"Finding a new job is not easy, Ellen! Are you insane? Many people are interested in your position. Ellen, the company cannot easily accept new employees."

"I'll keep looking until I find a good job, Mother."

"Okay, fine. You'll be able to find work. Could it be within the next day or two? It takes a long time to complete the task. Then, in an unspecified period of time, what about the necessities of our lives? What about your father? Ellen, your father's needs are the most pressing."

"Mom, I'm going to get a second job. Please relax. Don't be worried about anything."

"Oh my goodness, Ellen! How could I not be terrified? Things are only going to get worse."

Ellen has a responsibility to ensure that her mother does not become overly concerned about this, making certain she can face her sister's sneer, who always saw Ellen's actions as a mistake. Ellen will keep trying despite not knowing what life will bring her. She will try to find work that will help her family's economy. Although she will not know what type of work will allow her family to live in peace.

***

Chase felt the urge to throw up. He drank all the beer in the fridge after returning home from Rowena's last night. Anger made him do whatever he wanted. Ellen is the woman who manages to irritate him to the point where he passes out from drinking beer.He had no idea what happened to him after that. He knew he'd never find a woman sleeping in his bed again because he'd made sure he got home safely the night before.

Chase made his way to the bathroom with stumbling steps and vomited up his guts. Chase forced himself to turn on the water and splash himself, oblivious to the fact that he had vomited on his bathroom floor. Chase had to be sane before Aidan came to pick him up at work. When it comes to bathrooms or a dirty house, Chase's had cleaners to clean everything.

Suddenly, while washing his body with soap, an image of his body hugging Ellen flashed through his mind.

"Crazy! What are my thoughts? Why is that woman's face and body even visible at this time?"

Chase had never been through anything like this before. Even with Sheena, the man could not have predicted the night they spent making love. However, this time, Chase recalled the incident where he kissed Ellen's lips passionately. The woman fought back and could not be subdued in one blow. Dom had to work harder in his drunken state.

"Please do not touch me!" Chase's mind replayed Ellen's moans.

Chase could hear the voice because it was so clear. Ellen, as it was forced, was clearly in tears and couldn't keep up with Chase's strength. Chase's swift movement immediately tied up the two women's hands that were attempting to rebel. The floral scent wafting from Ellen's body didn't take long for the man to inhale.

"I like the way you smell, honey." Chase muttered arrogantly.

Ellen was unable to do anything but freeze under Chase's control as his movements became increasingly brutal. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but Ellen was wearing a skirt that night. Of course, it made it easier for Chase to feel her most intimate parts.

Chase's left hand was tying Ellen's wrists, and the man's right hand was exploring Ellen's lower body. Chase made the woman's legs bend after he raised Ellen's skirt to her stomach. Chase's excitement was heightened by the presence of a black thong. The man licked his fingers first, staring at Ellen's face, pleading to be let go. Chase didn't stop and pressed against the skin of Ellen's thong, which concealed her femininity. Chase had a desire to make a quick move inside Rebecca. However, some of them keep it in order to be the first to play.

Chase couldn't stop himself at that point. It was extremely dangerous to imagine Ellen's body while she was bathing. The cold water he had purposefully used proved to be useless in calming his rage. Chase actually touched himself as the images of him pumping Ellen's body became clearer and clearer. The man was not fully aware that he was moving his fingers under the flowing water to satisfy himself.

He climaxed just imagining that night, his breath ragged. The night he should have cursed was spent with the woman he despised, Ellen.

"Unlucky! Looks like I didn't get enough sleep last night to do this."

Chase kept blaming his drunkenness last night, even though alcohol didn't play a major role in making him lust in the morning with images of the night he'd spent the previous few days with Ellen. The man simply denied having a one-night stand with Ellen.

Chase rushed to clean himself up before his stupidity came back. The man was never one to waste time taking a shower. Today, it is a very different story. He was so busy with himself that he didn't notice that someone else had entered his room.

"What are you doing in there, Chase?" Your voice is so loud that I can hear it from here."

Chase was startled when he heard a woman's voice. "Mom?"

Except for his mother, Hannah, Chase knew no other woman could enter his personal space. The mansion he was currently in was the place he belonged to after separating from Sheena. The penthouse Chase and Sheena had used was still there, but he didn't want to visit because he didn't want him to remember his past.

"Oh, Chase, do you remember your mother?"

Chase, who was only dressed in a bathrobe, shook his head at his mother's demeanor. "What exactly are you saying, Mom?" Of course, I recall my mother's name. I recognized his voice in a way that no one else could."

"You know I'm your mother, but do you ever visit me, Chase?" What were you up to all this time? "Did work cause you to forget to come home?"

"Mom, I have my own house. Don't forget that I'm an adult."

"OK, you're an adult now. And you should have paid more attention to your mother."

Chase clasped his hands around his waist. Chase's face showed how much he didn't want to talk to Hannah about such small things.

"Can you say whatever you want, Mom?  Aidan will be here soon, and I don't want to talk about anything else while work consumes my time."

Hannah laughed because her son refused to move. She will not win against Chase, who is increasingly uninterested in anything but work.

"Chase, when are you getting married?"

That question made her frown.
Chase was tired of his grandfather asking the same questions over and over. Hannah then did the same.

"What is it about all of you that makes me want to tell you exactly when I got married?
I'll marry when the time comes. Never force your will on me!

Hannah rushes over to her son and attempts to gain Chase's trust.
"Chase, first listen to Mom. You are the only suitable heir candidate chosen by your grandfather. Thomas  told mom, If you don't marry and have children, you have to prepare to leave the house that the old man gave to our family."

Thomas was never one to mince words, but Chase hadn't expected the old man to make such a direct threat to Hannah so soon.

"I'm on my own with De Vera's Corporation, Mom.
"

"But, Chase, you're well-known because of your surname.
You would not be as successful today if you had not used the name De Vera. And imagine if Thomas ruined the good name of the company you worked so hard to build! Are you sure we'd be able to live like this if Thomas—"

"I know exactly what I have to do, Mom.
Don't be concerned about my life."

Hannah smiled brightly regardless of whether Dom liked her or not.
"Are you getting married, my son?" the woman inquired, her voice growing more hopeful.

"Everything has been told to Thomas.
You don't have to be concerned, Mom. This is going to be between me and the old man."

"Oh my goodness, Chase.
Listen to your mother, and avoid going up against Thomas at all costs."

Chase looked at the wall clock, which was still ticking.
"Can you leave my room now, Mom?" I need to get ready."

Hannah's smile instantly disappeared because of Chase's attitude.
Hannah's attempts to incite her son were utterly unsuccessful. Hannah is even more afraid of what Thomas will do if Chase continues to fight his grandfather.

Hannah opened the door to Chase's room, and the male assistant was already there, surprised.

"Good morning, Mrs.
Hannah!" exclaimed Aidan, who recognized the woman's presence right away.

Hannah considered something before closing the door to her son's room while Chase was getting ready, the woman asked Aidan to talk for a few minutes.

"Do you know of any women Chase might marry in the near future, Aidan?
" Hannah inquired with great interest.

Aiden Looked at his boss's mother, perplexed.
"Oh... please accept my apologies, Mrs. Hannah. But as far as I know, no woman has ever been close to your son. And it doesn't look like your son will marry anytime soon."

Hannah immediately growled and racked her brain, imagining Chase married to a woman on par with the De Vera family.

When Aidan noticed his superior's mother deep in thought, he inquired, "Is there something bothering you, madam?
"

"Yes, there is.
Aidan, could you please assist me—"

"Mom, stop!
You can't get Aidan on your side, because I'm paying for it. If you continue to try to manage my love life, I will choose to live in poverty sooner."

Hannah gave in by not saying anything else.
"All right, all right! I'll stop to ask when you're getting married. But I will stop at nothing to find a suitable bride for you. You can't stop me on that one, Chase."

Hannah stepped out of Chase's mansion.
Chase ignored him despite knowing his mother was upset. His head was already spinning thinking about work, he didn't want to think about what Hannaha would do.

"Don't just stand there, Aidan!
Did I just pay you to be quiet?!"

"I apologize, sir.
Let's get to the office right away."

Chase will have a normal day today.
Work, work, work. After Sheena left, he had no women in his life. Except for the part this morning when he imagined a woman named Ellen.
