CHAPTER 4

“For all children out there, we will go to play a game! The winner will receive a nice price!” the magician said happily, and he showed the big stuffed toy. The children were excited when they saw it. And they raised their hands.

“Haley, join them,” said James.

“No dad, I don’t want to,”

“You might win a stuffed toy,” her brother Kyle said.

“No!” Haley said irritated.

“Let it go. If Haley doesn't want to,” Lucy said, knowing she was just ashamed of her disability. After a while, the magician said something in which Haley got interested.

“I have another prize for you!” he said and showed them a necklace with an amulet pendant.

“This pendant is from Egypt, and I will give it to the winner of the game!

Haley observed the amulet pendant held by the magician, and she felt something strange. And as the magician chooses a player.

“I need one more kid!” Said the magician aloud.

Her family was surprised when Haley suddenly raises her hand.

“Me!” Haley said loudly. The magician heard her voice then he gazed at her.

“That girl in a red dress, come up here!” Said the magician and Haley immediately went up the stage and ignored even she can’t walk properly.

"Okay, kids! Our game is to open these boxes by using a key, all you have to do is to get the right key and open the right box,” he said while pointing some locked boxes in the top of the table. “One of these boxes contains the magic amulet pendant and the stuffed toy, whoever opens the right box will win! Are you ready?

Magician exclaimed enthusiastically. "Yes, we are!” The kids said cheerfully.

Then the game began. "Ready get set go!" The magician ordered. The children came forward to retrieve the key to the magician and each of them opened the box.

A few minutes later, Haley was surprised when she opened the box containing the stuffed toy and the amulet pendant. Haley was so happy when she has won. “What is your name?!” The young magician asked. “My name is Haley Robertson,”

“Congratulations, you are the winner! Here’s your prize little girl!” the magician smiled, then gave Haley the big stuffed toy and the amulet pendant.

when she held the pendant, she felt strange.

Some children cried because they also want the amulet pendant. “Kids, don't cry anymore, I still have a lot of amulet pendants!” said the magician, and he showed them to the kids. The kids were all excited to have it, the magician then starts another game. But Haley’s winning pendant was different from the other.
