Chapter 9

Callie's POV

"Let go of me Adrian!" I yell at him, trying to loosen the tight grip he has on my shoulder.

"Answer me!" He snarls out and I become worried as I see his eyes flicker between his normal colour to black. His wolf is pissed.

"Cause I never wanted you to find out-"

"They are just as much as my kids as they are yours! How could you ever think of not telling me-"

"You rejected me Adrian! You didn't want anything to do with me! Who's to say you'd want them? Especially since you were engaged to someone else? What were you gonna do? Tell Emily that it was a mistake, risk losing her, for them? Or would you just have completely ignored us?" I was pissed and so was he. I could understand where he was coming from, but what made me angry was he didn't understand where I was coming from.

"Emily doesn't matter! Did you ever think of what the boys wanted? How could you be so selfish? What if they wanted they're dad in their lives-"

"They didn't want you to know Adrian." I said bluntly, knowing that was going to hurt. And I was right, when a flash of pain went across his face before he covered it up with a glare.

"You're lying! Why would they want that-"

"Cause I told them everything Adrian. I wasn't going to lie to my sons-"

"Our-"

"My sons! I told them everything. I always told them that if they wanted to meet you they could. But they never wanted to until recently. If I could have my way, I'd rather you not be in our lives. I've done perfectly fine without you, and will continue to do so." I say glarring up at him. His grips seems to loosen before he drops his hands to his side, starring at me. He doesn't say anything so I walk past him, walking over to the boys.

They smile when they see me but continue to play with they're toys. I sit down on the grass, chuckling as Trevor climbs onto my lap.

"So who told him?" I ask the both of them and watch as Trevor looks up at me in confusion.

"W-What do you m-mean M-Mommy?" He asks, dropping one of his toys. I look over at Payton and see his head down, playing with his toys.

"Payton?" I ask and watch him look up at me nervously.

"Payton, you can tell me." I say to him as I reach out and wrap my arm around him, pulling him closer to me. He snuggles into my side before sighing loudly.

"I wanted to tell him. I'm s-sorry I-I didn't d-do it with you a-and T-Trevor." He says, guilt present on his adorable face. Before I can speak though Trevor climbs off my lap and glares at Payton.

"I-I wanted to t-tell him P-Pay! You m-meany!" He yells, stomping is his foot in anger before sitting next to his brother. There's one thing that most people notice easily with them. They can't stay mad at each other. The longest fight they ever had lasted for a day. They soon couldn't stand not playing with each other and made up. I loved that they didn't fight for long, not just because I wouldn't have two moody boys on my hands but because people never really understand that our time here is short. No one can officially say they know when they're going to leave. Be it this world or just the city. Its better to have happy memories with that person rather than memories where you fought with each other.

"D-Does he w-want us M-Mommy?" Trevor asks me curiously after some time. I look over to him in thought. Did he want them? Of course he did, or else he would have never thrown that hissy fit earlier. Maybe it was just the shock that made him act like that? Even after all this time that man is still confusing.

"I don't know Sweety. Don't worry, we'll find out okay? I promise." I say, kissing his nose. He giggles softly and wipes his nose.

"Dinners ready!" I hear Izzy yell loudly inside my head. I wince and shake my head. I tell the boys to clean up and go wash they're hands. They do so and run into the house. I walk in and make my way to the kitchen.

"Need some help?" I ask Mother. She smiles as points to a bowl of salad.

"Please take that our Sweetheart." She says, turning back to the stove. I nod my head and take it to the dinning room. I place it down on the table and see almost everyone seated. The boys take seats between Theo and myself. As everyone finally sits down I notice Adrians not here-

Slam!

Never mind.

"You're late." Izzy states as he sits down in an empty chair, which so happen has to be across from me. He looks up and glares at me softly.

"Was busy." He shrugs. Everyone ignores him, making it seem as if they've dealt with this a lot. We say grace before digging in. The meal seems to go smoothly before I feel a tug on my shirt. I look over and Payton stares up at me with a pout.

"M-Mommy I'm f-full." He says. I look over at his plate and see all of his vegetables still there.

"Payton you need to eat your vegetables. If you don't you won't grow up to be big and strong. Plus you'll get desert afterwards." I say and he frowns.

"B-But if I eat the y-yukkies, I-I won't have s-space for d-desert Mommy." He continues on, shoving the plate away slightly.

"Payton, eat your vegetables-"

"Oh let the kid do what he wants. Thought you gave them what they wanted." I hear Adrian say from in front of me. I look over, glarring at him.

"I don't need your input Adrian."

"I have just as much of a say Callie. They're my sons! You took them from me-"

"I did not you selfish pig! You didn't want us!"

"I just didn't want you! How was I supposed to know you were pregnant!" He yells loudly. By this time the both of us are standing and glarring at each other. I try to ignore the slice of pain that goes through my heart and go to yell again but stop when I hear a slam on the table.

"My office! Now!" I hear Mother yell. I look over at her before groaning and pushing my chair out. Adrian storms out while I ask Uncle Bennett to watch than kids.

I make my way to the office, trying to stall as long as possible. A pissed Mother was never a good thing. So I'd rather show up there when she's cooled off a bit. I reach the door sooner than I wanted. Opening the door, I walk in and take a seat. Looking up I see Mother and Father there, along with Theo and Izzy.

I feel like I'm in the Principal's office again.

Adrian is next to me, arms crossed over his chest while his one leg bounces up and down quickly. I could tell that he was still fuming.

"This fighting has to stop-"

"This fighting wouldn't be happening had she of told me about my children-"

"You do not interrupt me Adrian. I can still easily kick you out of this pack and make you a rogue." Mother threatens. She wouldn't. She's never had the heart to do that. He looks down again, sulking.

"We have all decided that you two fighting would not be good for the wedding. So this is what will happen. You two will travel with each other to the venue. During that time, sort out your parental disagreements. If the both of you have not fixed this mess by the time you reach the venue, just turn around and don't bother coming." Izzy explains with a stoic face. I stare up at her in shock.

"B-But I'm the maid of honour. Izzy you would really go without one because of this fight?" She nods her head and says nothing further. I sigh before sitting back. I guess I can see where she's coming from. Looking over at Adrian again, he obviously doesn't like this.

"Screw this! There is no way I can travel two days with her in a car!" He yells loudly, standing up. Theo walks over to him glarring.

"You want to prove that you can be a Father to those boys? Then you'll do this Adrian. Stop being so stubborn and see why Callie did it. Why those to boys didn't want you too know." He says before walking out. Izzy follows after and so does my parents. Adrian sits down once again and groans loudly into his hands.

"Be there for them Adrian. I know you don't care for me, but if you really do want to be a Father to them, show it. We'll sort everything out on the trip. Deal?" I ask him, hoping, wanting him to just agree. He looks at me, then my hand, then back to me.

"Deal."
