Do I like it?

It was the first time someone asked me how I really feel. I remember the last time I told my parents how I felt, I was locked inside my room for a day without food or water. That was 10 years ago. Since then, I never really got the chance to share my feelings and thoughts. I didn’t want that to happen again.

So, what Mr. Payne is asking me right now is dangerous. What should I do? What did mom say?

“Remember, always please your husband. Let him hear the words he wants to hear. And do the things he wants you to do. Everything! Be the perfect wife and he will never abandon you. Also, don’t forget to give us some of the money like what we’ve talked about before.”

That’s it. Now I have to know what Mr. Payne wants me to tell him!

I turned to look at his mansion. It was beautiful and he made this, so I must tell him.

“Yes, Mr. Payne, I like your house.” I smiled.

But why is he furrowing his brows? Didn’t he like what I said? Did he want to hear that his house was ugly?

He then shook his head, “I didn’t mean my house, Mary. And you should call me Aaron now, I’m your husband, right?”

Oh no, I made a mistake right after our wedding!

I immediately went down on the floor and bowed down, “I-I’m SORRY! I DIDN’T MEAN to call you Mr. Payne, I—”

Why is she suddenly kneeling on the floor and asking me for forgiveness?

“Mary, please don’t do this!” I hurriedly helped her up.

She looks at me with tears in her eyes unexpectedly, “P-Please forgive me. I will never do it again! I will call you Aaron now, or whatever you want me to call you! I—”

“Calm down, Mary.” I shook her lightly while she looked up at me with fearful eyes. “It’s alright, I forgive you. You didn’t do anything wrong in the first place, what’s the matter?”

Her brows furrowed in worry while she shivered slightly.

What happened to her? Did her parents punish her so badly whenever she makes mistakes?

I must be out of my mind. She looked so scared and innocent, like a shivering puppy, and I just had to embrace her. “I won’t hurt you.”

She calmed down since then.

It was a long day and I was very tired. I showed Mary her own room which was a hallway across mine. Before the marriage, we talked about some terms and conditions regarding our marriage life. Number one was sleeping on different beds.

She can do whatever she wants inside the house but I doubt she’ll manage to start since she can’t even tell me how she truly feels, what more on what she wants to do?

I sighed as I think of her while I was in the shower. She’s already 18 and she wasn’t even allowed to go to college! Her parents are cruel! How could they— “Aghk!” I shrieked as soon as I saw a head popping out from the door from the reflection of the mirror.

She smiled innocently. “Hi, Aaron.” Then comes her hand, waving at me.

Immediately turning off the shower and taking my towel, I covered my waist. “W-What are you d-doing here?!”

She’s too innocent to even see malicious things. See, she wasn’t even panicking or closing her eyes when she saw me unclothed.

Mary stepped in the bathroom wearing her cute one-piece bathing suite, topped with her pink bathrobe. “Mom said that on the first day of marriage, the bride must take a bath with the groom.”

My brows raised up to the sky, “She did, did she?”

Her petite head nodded cutely. “And she said I must help you with… what did she say?” She thought, “Ah! Scratching your back.”

“Ah—” I choked. “Scratching my… back?”

She nodded more.

Once my towel was secured on my waist, I left the tub and stood in front of her. Mary was very tempting. Her hair was tied in a bun that her neck was shining and very inviting. Her cute one-piece swimsuit was too innocent to even make you want more. And her bathrobe was just some prop you want to take off from her.

Her mom really did a great job.

I sighed, “And do you know what husbands do to their wives during the first shower?”

The little lady furrowed her brows to think. She shook her head, “Mom never really taught me. She just said that you will show me how and that I must completely obey you when you do.”

That was an obvious temptation right there!

I deeply growled, looking away from the helpless prey. “You really want to know?”

She nodded.

“Fine.” Taking her wrist, I pulled her with me towards the bathtub. “I’ll show you the first bath.”
