7. New Bride

Hunter Ellington's POV I had a huge hangover when I woke up this morning. That indicated how happening was yesterday's party. You did not party well if you don't get a hangover. I took a few tablets for my hangover and got ready in a business suit. The house was deathly silent. I had no idea about how long they would mourn about Angelina. It started to become irritating. I drove my love, my car towards the Ellington Hights' office. I should get habituated with that place. I was not going to work or anything but I should know about my company. Everyone greeted me when they saw me. I didn't know if it was my aura or people indeed were giving me the respect that Roman enjoyed till now. I used the private elevator and reached Roman's floor. His assistant Joshua turned towards me hopefully but his face became dark when he saw me. I rolled my eyes and went to Ronan's cabin. That room was literally a luxurious heaven. Roman had a good choice no wonder he fell for Angie. The room was filled with fruit and flowery scents. I went to the chair that was behind the desk. I sat on the chair and sighed in satisfaction. I always dreamt about sitting on this chair. This should be mine but that Roman got it. I looked around the room. I needed to do some changes. The room had the credibility to become a five-star hotel suite. I needed to change his assistant too. A sexy personal assistant would motivate me to come to my office more than I intended. Joshua could find another job but not here. "What are you doing here, Hunter?" Elliot Ellington said in a grave voice. "Me? Oh, nothing. I just came to see my future cabin. You see, your son is drawn in the death of his fiancée. I don't think he can work anymore." I said sheepishly. "Who told you that you are going to be the next owner? You are just a kid, no one will accept you as their boss. You need to learn a lot, kid. I am going to be the one everyone will choose. Don't forget your place. You will be the owner in the future but not now. My so-called son is not in the race anymore." "You are as annoying as your son. But you are lucky that mom told me to behave well with you." Elliot Ellington chuckled, "Trust me if anyone is lucky here than it's you. I know what you are feeling. I have been feeling like that all my life." "Of course, you work so hard, still your father didn't give you anything. That oldie was heartless." I mocked. "You very well know how heartless I am as well. Now don't play around here. If you want to work or learn something then go to your cabin and if not then go wherever you want." I grimaced, "That room is anything but a cabin. I want you to get rid of Roman's assistant." I said pointing outside. "Why? You want some sexy assistant to f*ck? You can have your own assistant when you decide to work or become the owner. Till then Joshua stays, he is very good at his work." "Of course, he does. Roman only has eyes for good things." I rolled my eyes and went out of the cabin. My next destination was Rafael's office. He wanted to see some land for his next construction project. Unlike me, he was kind of a hard worker. He wanted me to accompany him because according to him I had some gifted observations about lands. I only used my common sense before and I was going to do the same again. Rafael's assistant told me that he was in a meeting and I had to wait for more than an hour. I gave her my flirtatious smile. "I missed you, babe, why not you help me to wait for my friend." Rafael's assistant was very hot. We f*cked her many times. She being the vixen, gave me a sexy smile. She followed me to Rafael's cabin and locked it. She jumped on me like a horny cat and we kissed wildly. Soon our clothes were on the floor and we were busy to pleasure ourselves. After our second round, she dressed up and went to her table. I freshen up and ordered an expensive gift for her. Obviously, it was not her first time to receive gifts from me. Soon Rafael came back from his meeting and we started our journey. "I see you had some good time while waiting for me," Rafael said. "She was willing as always," I smirked. "As long as she gets her gifts, she will be willing always." We both chuckled. After a long day I came back to the house. I instantly got angry when I saw instead of removing the decorations, the workers were rushing to complete the decorations. It wasn't hard to understand that the f*cking wedding was not happening. "What are you doing?" my booming voice made everyone froze in their place. "I am asking something. What are you doing?" "We are decorating." "And why are you decorating? The wedding is off. You are doing this for money, right? We will have to pay if you complete decorating. You will get your money but stop doing it!" The whole house was looking like a flower garden and it made me crazier. "What's going on here?" Uncle Elliot came and took in the scene. "See uncle, they are decorating for the wedding. Too bad, there is no bride to get married." I mocked. He rubbed his forehead as if a sign that he had enough nonsense for the day. "Please leave. There is no wedding happening because the bride is no more. So, wrap everything up and leave." "But, Roman Ellington called us for the decoration. We are just following his orders." one of the workers said. "Roman called! Uncle looks like your son has successfully lost his mind. Preparing for the wedding after his fiancee is dead. I am sure he will deny that Angelina is no more." "Now why would I do something like that, bro?" Roman leisurely came down from the stairs. "She is as good as dead. Why do I need to deny that?" I was tongue-tied after seeing him perfectly fine. He looked like nothing happened and he was not grieving at all. He was looking nothing like I expected him to be. "Roman, what's all this? Why did you call them? Elliot Ellington was as baffled as me. "It's my wedding that's why. Everything will happen the way it's planned." Roman said as if it was obvious. He turned to look at the workers. "You guys carry on. Whatever you did till now looks good." "Roman, Angelina is no longer with us then who are you going to marry?" Uncle tried to make sense. "Come on, dad. She is gone that doesn't mean that I will cancel my wedding. Girls are still available on earth. They did not extinct yet. I will just marry someone else." Roman shrugged casually. I was trying to make him mad but it seems like he was hell-bent on making others mad. "Marry someone else! I thought you loved her." I snapped at him. They were all lovey-dovey and now he would just marry anyone! "I did. But she is no more and I need to move on." that audacity of that man. "But who are you going to marry? Did you even find a bride?" Elliot Ellington was very angry. "Of course I did. Don't worry dad, you just brace yourself to attend the ceremony. The same goes for you, Hunter." He said in his boasy tone. "What about her funeral? You are going to marry someone else even before her funeral." I gritted my teeth. "Her parents are coming back. They will hold a funeral ceremony for her. I am not going to wait for her soul to find peace." He said and walked away. Uncle Elliot and I gaped at him. He was unpredictable and not even mourning anymore. Did he ever love her or he was just acting? Roman Ellington turned out to be a real player. Angelina's death became completely wasted. I glared at his back. "We need to find out his plans moreover we need to find out his new bride." Don't forget to comment and like this story by pressing the love icon.
