They saw some marks and symbols that they had seen in some books in her grandmother’s secret room of insane books and records from very long into the past. They took pictures and wrote some things and drew the symbols into a book they kept some other things they discovered through their raid. Regina stared at the statues.

“I have seen these somewhere before” She walked to toward the statues. “This one seems to have everything the other two doesn’t” She said.

“Yes! You are right genius” He said. “Look!” He said pointing at the statue on the left side of them all.

“What genius?” She said. “You have seen something I haven’t seen yet and still call me genius knowing you are smarter than I am”

“Are we going over this again” He said smiling at her. “You know we have our strengths and weaknesses and you very strong where I am weak; that’s why I need you to complete me. Look! This one has no eyes at all!”

“We complete each other” She said. “Yes! And this one on the right side has a hole in its chest”

“BUT THIS ONE HAS BOTH EYES AND A HEART LIKE MARBLE IN THE CHEST” They said together smiling at each other. “GENUIS” They said to each other again at the same time.

“You are crazier than I am” Russev said.

“Yes and you love crazy if I can recall” She said.

“You got that right” He said and turned to the statues. “That means this one is the alpha statue” he said touching the statue in middle of the other two statues.

“Maybe they both came from the alpha or they are other versions of the same person or being” she said touching her jaw with one of her eye brow lifted over the other.

Russev just stared at her while she made these speculations about the statues.

“What?” She asked. “Why are looking at me like that?”

“I’m love” He said.

“You are crazy” She said trying to hide a blush

“Yes I am and you are the reason I can’t think straight right now” He said walking towards her.

“What do you mean?” She smiled.

“You go about looking more beautiful than the last minute I saw you” He said.

“How many times do you woo a lady Russev?” She asked.

“Once I guess” He replied.

“You woo me every minute we spend together. You always have something amazing to say that you haven’t said before and it’s all new and wonderful” She said. She couldn’t hold the feeling boiling up inside her again. “Kiss me”

“Yes my lady!” He said. “At your service”

They kissed and kissed again and again. He carried her up and put her on the alpha statue. Everywhere was heating up from the flames of love and desire. She tried to balance herself ignorant she was on the statue; doing so she pulled something and the statue moved back and aligned itself with the other two. She screamed in fear and jumped on him looking backward to see what happened. He caught her and dropped her on the ground. They walked towards the alpha statue as slowly as they could and notice a hip of dust where the alpha statue was before.

“What did you do?” Russev asked her.

“You are asking me!” She said. “I think the question should be ‘what did we do?’”

“Okay!” He said wiping off the dust. “What is this?” He asked rhetorically as he could now see some writings carved into the ground.

He wiped it off completely and Regina came from hiding behind him to see what he was seeing.

“This is an archaic language rather than a recent one” She said eyes on the writings. “Hmmm, it has symbols and letters that look like Latin alphabets, but this one I have seen before when I was reading about ancient Greece back in my library when I was still in school”

“You know you woo me with your vast knowledge of almost everything we come across thus far. You just know something about something all the time” Russev said touching her hand and moving it to and fro on the writings on the ground.

“Feel this”

“What?”

“This is gold very thick and pure gold and something else that makes it glow on the touch of light” He picked up the torch light and put his fingers slightly spaced in between each other over it and pointed it on the ground; the light rays only passed through the open space between his fingers to the ground. “See! The part where the is no light at all is normal gold but the part where the light touches glows”

All the while He did what he was doing with the touch light Regina only listened to what he was saying; She was staring at him all through the moment.

“Yea! I see it” She said still staring at him. “Who knows something about something now?” She asked.

“Wow! You are too smart I should say and that is bad some times; using my words back at me” He said putting the torch light above the statue so they could see the whole writing on ground. “We should take a picture of this and get going before the king comes back”

Regina is more a photographer than Russev so she took the camera and moved back until she could get both the statues and the writings below the alpha statue in one shot.

“Wait! There’s more!” Russev said walking n front of her and wiping off more dust to reveal more of the writings on the ground and then stepped away for her to get a good shot. “Okay take it now” He said.

She took some shots of the statues, writings and inscriptions and showed it to Russev; He approved they were okay and she returned the camera into their back park.

“Who do you think he was talking to?” Regina asked looking bewildered.

“We will find out when we get out of here”

“About that, how are we getting out of here?” She asked. “We can’t go back that way right?”

“Yea! We can’t. There has to be some kind of secret emergency exit here. What if there was an earthquake and this place is coming down. He must have a way to go out” He said looking at her expectantly as if she was supposed to say something like ‘Yes there it is’

“Maybe or definitely: I just know he can’t get trapped in here for sure, so there has to be an escape route if things get heated up down here” She said. “Every tomb’s got a secret entrance and exit right?”

“Yeah! So far according to records about those discovered already” He answered.

“Maybe it is a tomb building tradition.

“Well! If there is there has to be some kind of switch or knob to get it opened; I am sure it is not going to be easy to find” She said and move backwards away from the statues to get a view of everywhere in the room. “I remember something about open on this side of the wall written in ancient Latin” She moved to the left side of the wall towards the statue leftwards to the alpha.

“Really!” Russevs said. He moved to where she was on the wall and found an area written in Latin that talks about opening something they had no idea about. It just said ‘remove the heart to open’ “I’m guessing that heart” He said pointing to the heart on the alpha statue.

“Yep! If not we are taking yours!” Regina said. “You know I’m pregnant so mine can’t be taken” She joked.

“You are insane!” He said. “Let’s find out if that opens a way out”

He walked to the alpha statue while reads more of the Latin inscriptions.

“Wait! It also says put where there is none” She said. “And you will find what you seek beneath the first of them all”

“Now that is interesting; did you say something about what we seek to the walls in here ‘cause I didn’t” He said backing away a little from the heart of the alpha statue to here more of what she has to read out to him. She understood Latin better than he did. “What more did it say?”

“That’s it, nothing more” She said. “Let’s find out what they think we seek; whoever they are”

Russev pulled the big org looking heart from the alpha and put it in the hole in the statue to the right; the heart fell inside the statue. Regina moved backwards and so did Russev waiting to see what was going to happen. After waiting for some time and nothing happened, Regina moved closer to the statue leftwards all the others.

“Something is missing! Nothing was written about this one” She said, moved closer and touched it. There was a squeak from beneath the statue the moment she touched it. She startled and moved away from it. There was more squeaks and suddenly the statue she touched moved forward past the alpha and emitted white light brighter than the one from there torch. The light rays from the statue focused on a part of the ground behind them.

“That is the centre of the room” Regina said. “There has to be something beneath this place; I can feel it in guts of guts”

“Me too” Russev said. He walked to where the beam was on the ground and wiped of the sand from that area. His hand hit something while wiping off the sand and the ground there opened.

“They could’ve just said wipe the floor instead of all that” Regina said. “And you are very good at wiping; it has been very productive since you started wiping” She teased.

Russev didn’t say a word or turn; he just stayed bent the way he was when the ground opened.

“Are you okay?” Regina asked. He still didn’t say a word or moved. She tip-toed to him and called him name as silently as she could almost in a whisper but he still didn’t do anything. She was already freaking out but tried to stay calm. She touched him and he was started muttering something to himself.

“What are you saying?” She asked. “Get up” She said with a shaky voice.

“You will die!” He finally answered and stood up very fast and reached for her neck with a numb face as if he was hypnotized.

“What are you doing?” She asked trying to fight out of his grip. “What has come over you?”

“Nothing! Just freaking you out like they do in books” He said bursting into laughter. “And you were really freaked and scared”

“Don’t you ever do that to me again” She said hitting her hand on his chest until he stopped her. “Why was that necessary?”

“I’m sorry” He said. “I won’t do that again”

“You are an arse” She said and moved away from him. “You scared me”

“I know and I won’t do it again. I promise”

“Better not!”

“Okay! I’m sorry” He said. He followed her and hugged her from behind. “I really am sorry; I will make it up to you, I promise”

“There is a stair case down to wherever that is”

They found and entrance to a dark room of damned secrets which lead to us”

It was dark already and I wished we could still continue this very detailed and interesting story about these two cool love birds but we had to sleep; we are humans or at least I still was at that time.

“We will stop here and continue tomorrow. You guys should get some rest” Mr. Silver said and urged us to go and get some sleep for the night.

That night I had what I would call a normal dream; something new and better than recent ones. I dreamt I was Russev and May was Regina and we did everything Mr. Silver said they did; I stalled in the part where they kissed and everything changed into what I imagined that moment when Mr. Silver was telling us that part of the story; I added a little more action to theirs. It was a great night.
