" I still haven't met your girlfriend yet" My mom noted. "You know her" I reminded her. She has met Joanna quite a few times, she is over at our house a lot. "Well yeah. But that was as your brothers friend, not your girlfriend" She argued. "And? She's still the same person" "If I meet my daughters girlfriend, I would definietely examine her better. Find out if she is worthy of that" "Oh god, you would just embarass me" I concluded and she just nodded. "Probably" We both laughed. I did not necessarily want to, yet I still invited Jo over to dinner the next day.

Jake and I would be there to protect her if they get to weird. I love my parents, they can be a handful though. At least they would be when meeting my girlfriend. My first actual relationship. When Jake had his first girlfriend over a few years ago, they were quite annoying. And curious. They need to know everything. On top of that, even though I know they aren't really, they come across as quite judgemental.

"This dress is gorgeous" Joanna was wearing a short black dress with a bow tied around her waist. So simple, yet so beautiful. Her hair was slightly curled, hanging around her shoulders. My parents were already in the dinning room, waiting for her. Jake was still upstairs, probably watching a basketball game. He is definitely a curious person as well but Joanna he already knows, potentially better than me, so he does not care much. Mom and Dad on the other hand went to greet her and started with the questions.

Dinner went over well, Jake, Jo and I joked quite a lot, we had a fun time. Our parents got all the urgent questions out of the way and luckily talked about sexual health only once, very briefly, before Jake expertly switched the topic. The food was absolutely delicious, my mom is a brilliant cook.

In the end my parents said goodbye to Jo, and I went upstairs with her. I am sure she managed to make a good impression on my parents. Nice, polite, funny but in a way that parents appreciate. The way she talked to them was a little different, sweeter and more careful to be appropiate. It worked. Her charme must have pulled them in.

"Have fun you two" Jake said, leaving for his room. "Don't be too loud!" Jo and I laughed his statement off, I grabbed her hand and pulled her into my room.

We lied down on my bed, next to each other.

"I feel like Nina still hates me" She said out of the blue. "Mh" I replied, not sure whether to confirm her assumption or wrongly deny it. "I feel really bad about what happened a few years ago" "Maybe apologize to her. She's usually forgiving. More than me" "True you hated me for so long" I looked at her, my eyes getting lost in hers. Brown and sparkly as always. I leaned in closer, until my lips were just an inch away from touching hers. "I had every right to" I starred her in the eyes, my hand slowly moving under her shirt, teasing her. "Whatever, stop teasing me!" She pouted at me. Admittedly very cute. "Funny, I remember you doing just that to me and I " I was cut off by soft lips meeting mine.

Just another Monday. College, again. Oh how I missed those high brown walls and all the students standing in my way or running around.Not. Instead of going to my building right away I walk over to the biggest one. Joanna has her first class there, that I know. "Alicia, hi. I didn't expect to see you here, babe" Jo saw me right away. She looked gorgeous this morning, her hair in a bun and a new shade of lipstick. I noticed that right away, can't wait to find out what it tastes like. "I thought I'd come here and say hi" "Well hi then" I heard from behind me. I turned around to face my older brother. "Hi Jake" I laughed. "Good morning to two of my favourite girls" He smiled at both of us. "I will leave you alone. Don't be late for class, Jo. Professor Marks hates that!" "I won't" Joanna replied.

"It's still a little weird that my little sister is dating my best friend" "Honestly it's weird for me to. So unexpected"

"She's great. She is a lot sweeter than she seems like. And caring, but still the energetic and fun Jo you know"

The power one kiss had over me.
