I did it! I asked Joanna out on date! Maybe it was a weird timing and I surely could have chosen a more romantic way and setting...but let's focus on the outcome! She said yes. I am now, officially, dating Joanna. Definitely something I did not expect to ever happen. On Sunday we had our first date , it was fantastic. Jo had asked me on Friday after college (I had waited for her in front of her main building) and said she would organise it all. To be honest I did not expect that much, but it was really romantic. Later she admitted that she had asked Jake for some advise earlier and he gave her a few ideas since he knows me better than anyone. He really is the best brother ever. And Joanna the best girlfriend I could ask for.

"Here" She held out flowers for me, red and pink roses. "Wow" I said. I have never been given flowers by any girl before. My heart fluttered. A part of me was a little worried that Joanna and I would not have a great romantic relationship, as so far all we had been doing was sexual, never sweet or caring, and even that maybe we would not get along that well outside the bedroom, however when she stood in front of me with those roses and smiled at me the way she did, I knew that I was wrong. We would get along just fine, we both do have a romantic side to us.

I had told my parents during dinner. They were surprised since they had seen Jo over quite a few times but never knew we were close. Well obviously since we hadn't been a while ago. They were happy though, Mom remembered Jo as being "very pretty and polite" and Dad was happy to have someone else to talk to about politics over more often, as Jo had proven to know much more about the topic than Jake and I.

The other day Jake and I watched a movie with Jo. It was really fun, Jake made popcorn for us and we all laughed at the cringe, funny scenes. It was a little weird at first because I did not want to display affection to Joanna in front of my brother but she put her arm around me and pulled me closer. I cuddled into her, making sure not to kiss her or touch her inappropiately in the living room. After the credits finished we chatted for a while. Jo and Jake told a funny story from one of their classes, I updated them on something concerning my college classes and friends. Jake brought a photo album along, the three of us had a fun time laughing at Jake and Is old photos. In one of them we were both wearing diapers and blowing bubbles in the air. On the next I had fallen down while trying to catch it. My favourite was a family photo under the Christmas tree, my red dress and pigtails were so cute and his shirt and proud smile were adorable. "You both look so cute omg" And then there was the one where I had tried to prove I can ice skate just as well as Jake and had fallen down. The puty face was too cute, Jake was laughing at me while skating away.

Our second date was planned by me. This time we went out to the park where I organized a little picnic. I had gone to the stores earlier, the same mall Joanna and I completed our shopping for my birthday a little ago. The flashbacks kept coming to me, a lot has changed in those few weeks. I went back to the candy aisle, where we bonded for the first time and I got all the same snacks we did and some sandwhiches. Jo loved it. I took some photos of her, sitting on the blanket, popping the skittles in her mouth, looking beautiful. She was wearing baby blue, a color she doesn't typically wear, yet it suits her so well.

Here and there we exchanged some sweet kisses, in between stuffing ourselves with the candy. We watched people walking by, complained about how much work college is, gossiped about our favourite Netflix series and talked about deeper topics as well. It was the perfect second date, just like we had the perfect first date. I took her home after the picnic, where we did the exact same thing as on my birthday.

"Here we are, pressed against the wall again" Jo said smiling. Just like a few weeks prior she had slowly moved closer, until my back was pressed against the wall, my heart beating fast due to us being so close. Yet it was less intimitading this time. Instead I knew where it would lead us, my body was already arching for the affection I was about to receive. And dare I say, it was even better this time.

"Wait one last kiss" I pouted. She was about to go home. I did not need my parents to know we were in my room together doing...things, so she always went back late at night rather than staying until the next morning. "sure" She smiled, meeting my lips in yet another sweet, gentle kiss before going home. I closed the door and smiled in the silent, dark night. I can't believe how lucky I am.
