CHAPTER 5: HATE

Sisa came to me and ask me, maybe she was still curious as to what really happened the last time we went to visit the land of the humans.

“What happened?” Sisa asked me as we walk towards the comfort room.

I do not want to talk for I am badly pissed-off by the woman who called me a thief back there.

It was a good thing that nobody was inside. I held her arms tight and we immediately disappear.

“Tell me what happened there,” she asked me again as we appear inside my room.

“She called me a thief!” I answered as I angrily toss my shoulder bag on the couch.

I can not help it but my palm keeps on releasing flames. I can not manage my anger at this time.

“You need to calm down, Lucy. Your emotion right now is not going to help you.” She comes to me and taps my shoulder.

She even pulled me to sit on the couch where I tossed by shoulder bag a while ago.

“Humans are judgemental, Lucy. You already know that.” She slowly caressed my back as she tries to calm me with her words...

“I hate them. I can read their thoughts. I can see their souls but I never judged them. Not even once,” I hissed.

Yes, because people judge themselves already. They judge each other.

The way they judge people defines their destination afterlife.

“Forget it, Lucy.” She even brushed my long hair with her fingers.

I can not forget what happened there. It pains me to remember how she embarrassed me. In front of everyone… in front of him.

I am going to teach these humans a lesson they won’t ever forget.

But first things first.

I stood up from the couch and walk towards the wide window frame in my room, where I can see every soul in the underworld. That is when I decided to do something.

I walk past Sisa and went out of the door.

“Where are you going?” She tried to follow me but I already disappeared as soon as I got out of the door.

“I am going to toss their souls on fire.

“Hello, beautiful.

A man’s soul smiled at me after he sees me suddenly appears in front of him. He is a forty-year-old man who died because of prohibited drugs. He overused it and did not wake up. He did not commit a big sin that is why he can still roam around the place.

How lucky am I to have my very first victim in front of me.

“Hello, handsome,” I greeted him back and gave him the sweetest smile I can make.

I watched him slowly come towards me hoping to make a move on me.

You wish!

I acted as if I am mesmerized by his charm. Truly, madly, head over heels falling for him.

I admit that he has a bewitching charm that any girl could not resist. But I do not fall for men with white-paled skin. I guess I have not tried to fall for anyone. Except for the men that I watched on the television that Sisa and I bought from the human world.

I even used my charm so he could easily fall for me. I was like a scent or some kind of a personal wine that was only made for them. Brandy could be the best term to fit for me to subside their thirst.

Love and Lust are two things that people dreamed of. I suppose these souls still urge for those things too. So I finger-combed my hair to heightened the charm I am giving. I hope he would be able to handle it.

Of course, I am my father’s daughter. I could easily make someone fall in love with me.

He is doing his best to try to win me. I doubt it. I only want to hear one thing from him…

“I think I fell in love with you.” He even held my hand and begged to touch me.

I am a bit frustrated because this is taking my time a bit longer than I expected. So I touched my hair again for the second time.

But as soon as I look at him. He disappeared in front of me.

“Oh, well! Swim well.” I stood up and did not even bother to look at the burning pit where he was thrown into.

“Next victim, please,” I mumbled as I walk out of the place.

This is easier than I thought.

Why does Hades wants me to seduce these souls and be kissed when all I have to do is use my charm and made them fall in love with me.

I went back to my room where I saw Sisa watching her favorite show. She did not even notice that I was already standing behind him.

So I stayed there for a bit longer and tried to watch what she’s been watching. I can even hear her heartbeat grows higher than the usual.

She even laughed. Does she understand the Korean language already?

I am linguistic that can understand and speak any language existing on earth. Not to mention the language used by the underworld species.

But then I saw a subtitle written below the television screen. I wonder how can she watch and read and at the same time?

“What are you watching?” I suddenly asked which made her almost jumped out of the couch.

“Omo!” she mumbled.

“I didn’t know you can speak in Korean.” I seated at the couch beside her.

“Come here, watch this. Do you remember the man you used to droll over in one of his dramas? He is also the leading man in this drama,” she said without looking at me.

“The man who lives inside the book?” I asked.

“Yes!” she answered. Still engrossed on the television.

I suddenly look at the screen and saw his face. I can feel my heart beats faster than usual.

I know I do not feel this way because of him.

Then I remember the lawyer who helped me a while ago.

His devilishly handsome face looks exactly like the man on the screen.

Except for his skin that was perfectly tanned by nature.

“He looks like the guy who helped us, Lucy,” Sisa suddenly blurted it out.

Did she read my mind?

“N-no, he looks more handsome than the man a while ago.

I reached for the magazine that was artistically arranged in the side table.

“Do you remember his face? Hmmm.

I abruptly look at her and saw her frowned face waiting for my answer.

“Of course, not!

I stood up and flicked my fingers without hesitating to look at her.

I know her. She could read my mind but I do not know how she does it.
