CHAPTER 4

KAELYNN's POV

I was glad that they seemed to enjoy the noodles I brought from the orphanage. It’s really my favorite and that’s why I brought some stocks with me. Earlier, I was looking for some food that I could serve them when they got back from school but I couldn't find anything at all so I decided to just cook some noodles with eggs. I’ll just buy some more stocks when I got to go to the market as long as they allow me to go out.

*yawn*

I rubbed my eyes while yawning. I wasn't able to sleep this afternoon because of what they did to me. When it's time for the twins to go to school, Sir Darenn woke up, so there’s really no time for me to sleep. Hence, I was really sleepy, let alone I had barely recovered from the long-time travel.

"Sir, just wake me up if you two are done." I left them both in the kitchen and went straight to the sofa to take a nap. I was still terrified every time the twins arrived but now that Sir Daryl’s here, I’m sure they wouldn't do anything. Besides, I knew that they’re scared of their older brother. This made me relaxed.

I opened my eyes. hmmm? It seemed that I was already in my room. What happened? Never mind! I’m still sleepy. Just a little bit more of sleep, promise I’ll get up soon.

"Ow Niel stop pushing me" hmm who’s that?

"Sshhh you’ll wake her up. Just lemme hug you” I opened my eyes and I was shocked seeing the twins beside me.

"Now she’s awake. It’s your fault Rious" my eyes widen when I saw them both topless. All my blood went up to my face. My face must be red now.

"Good morning Runo" Air Danrious said and kiss my forehead.

What is going on?

"Morning Kaelynn!" Sir Daniel was about to kiss me too but I kicked them both out of my bed.

"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE! This is my room and why aren’t you two wearing your t-shirts!" I shouted at them. However, they just laughed. Is it amusing to see me get mad?

"You should be thankful that it’s just the shirt hahaha," said by Danrious.

"Don’t worry Kaelynn we did nothing to you since we could not even move because of your hug. Yiieee Kaelynn" Daniel said with a teasing tone then got up.

I also got up and check myself if there’s anything missing or if everything’s fine and when I was sure already that nothing’s wrong with me, I relaxed.

"Hey we’ll just sleep here okay?" said Danrious and lay down on my bed.

"Yeah it’s still too early, let’s sleep some more," said Daniel.

I rolled my eyes on them and looked for the time on the watch.

My gosh! it’s already 8 am. I still haven’t prepared Sir Darenn’s breakfast.

I took my new uniform with me and ran to the CR. I also used the mini cabinet inside to barricade the door just in case the twins had a spare key to it.

I hurriedly took a bath. This was my first morning in the mansion and now I was going to be late. But it’s the twin's fault, not mine.

"Hey runo~~~ what are you doing there? Can we join you?" I heard Danrious voice outside the door.

"Let me wash your body Kaelynn" Daniel said.

They’re really irritating. I decided to just ignore them both and finished up taking a bath.

I went out of the CR with my hair still dripping wet and hurriedly put my dirty clothes on the dirty clothes container. I turned around and faced the mirror to comb my hair.

Brr...It’s really cold here.

Obviously, I just took a bath plus the whole place was air-conditioned. I just hope I won’t catch a cold.

"Just sleep if you want. I’ll go ahead" I let them both sleep but I stopped when I realized that they seemed to be quiet, which was a bit unusual.

"Do you need anything?" I asked them and here came their bored looks again. They both had dark-orange eyes which made me wonder if they had foreign blood on them.

"Nothing," said Danrious so I just shrugged my shoulders and was about to leave the room when Daniel pulled me back

"Dry your hair first. You’ll catch a cold if you won’t" I was surprised with his words. Danrious throw a dry towel to Daniel who pulled me to sit on the edge of the bed.

Daniel was standing behind me while drying my hair. I wasn't expecting this from the two of them, these actions were a bit nice from them but of course, I still won’t let my guard down.

"You really have long hair," said Daniel while drying my hair. Danrious came closer to me and took some strands of my hair on his hands to smell it. I didn't know what’s going on with these two.

Do they had a hair fetish or something?

"That’s fine now. It’ll dry eventually" I stood up and ran straight to Sir Darenn’s room.

When I entered, I saw him frowning already and throwing sharp looks on me.

"I see, you’re awake already sir Darenn?" I winced on the way he looked at me.

Was he mad at me because he woke up earlier than I did or because he’s hungry?

"I don’t wantyu! Out!" He said. I thought we’re friends now?

"Eh? Okay, but you’ll have to come with me. You're going to eat with your brother, Daryl" he frowned more and walked pass through me.

I noticed that among the four siblings, he’s the most unapproachable kid I’ve ever met. The twins are the naughtiest among them. And how about the eldest, what kind of personality does he have?

I went out of his room and followed him, he’s near the staircase already so I carried him and he looked so shocked when I did that so I giggled on his reaction.

"Haha, why are you so shocked? Just hold on to me okay?”

He didn't say anything, instead, he just buried his head on my neck. I thought he’s about to cry now.

"Why? Don’t you like it when someone carries you?" I asked.

He shook head and tightened his hug.

I smiled. Even though he’s a bit moody, he still has a cute side on him. I hope he will not grow up just like his older twin brothers. I swear, as long as I am here, I’ll do my best to raise this child properly.

"What do you like to eat Sir Darenn?" I put him on his chair and knelt in front of him

"Anything," he answered

"Ok just wait for me here, okay?" I smiled at him and went straight to the kitchen.

There in the kitchen, I saw the other maids busy with their cooking. I looked for something that sir Darenn might like in the fridge, but only found the bread and butter.

"Uh Miss, where the sugar is?" I asked one of the maids but she didn't answer me. I tried asking the other maids but they just ignored me and kept doing what they were doing.

I didn’t like the way they treated me in this mansion.

All the maids here were just ignoring me, as if they didn't care about the world.

I frowned at them and started looking for the sugar myself. The moment I found that, I started preparing sir Darenn’s breakfast. I made some milk and toasted the bread with butter. This was the children’s favorite breakfast in the orphanage.

I was wondering if the children from the orphanage were alright? I shook my head. I’ll only get homesick if I kept thinking about those things.

When bringing the breakfast back to the dining room, I was surprised to see Sir Daryl there reading a newspaper.

"Good morning, Sir Daryl!" he nodded at me.

I just focused myself on taking care of sir Darenn. This dining table was too long, making their seats far from each other.

Sir Darenn was a bit sad when he’s sitting far from his brother. Maybe he’s also seeking for their attention so I decided to carry sir Darenn and settle him beside sir Daryl’s chair.

"Why did you transfer him? That’s where his chair is" Sir Daryl asked me. His voice was intimidating.

"Ah, would you like some of this bread sir? Just take some and I’ll make more, it tastes good with coffee” I said to him but he’s just staring at sir Darren and me so I kneel down to sir Darenn and whispered

"Offer your brother some bread sir Darenn" I smiled at him, he pouted on me and looked a bit anxious but still took a piece of bread and offer it to his brother

Sir Daryl looked shocked when sir Darenn did it but then he smiled and took the bread.

"Thanks," he patted sir Darenn’s head.

And I saw how happy it made Sir Darenn. Awww I finally saw him smile! I could die happily now.

"You want?" he offered some bread to me too.

Waah he offered some bread to me too! He’s really the cutest!

I was about to take the bread when he suddenly ate it. "Do et yourtelp" I was taken aback with what he did and Sir Daryl just laughed at me.

I was astonished by the way he laughed. He’s really handsome when he’s laughing. Unlike his usual look, the serious and problematic one.

I held my chest. Wait, why is my heart beating so fast? I looked again at sir Daryl and he’s still not done laughing. He removed his glasses and wiped the tears caused by laughing from his eyes. I gaped at him.

He’s more handsome now!

"What’s going on?" We all looked behind. There came the twins.

"Oh, you guys are early now huh? Aren't you supposed to get up at 10?" said Sir Daryl and the twins just sat down with a boring look again.

"We can’t sleep anymore" they’re just wearing boxer shorts and a shirt. They’re really annoying and ill-mannered.

"Hey Darenn, what is that thing your eating? It looks delicious" they both said and took the remaining bread out of Sir Darenn’s plate and the child was about to cry.

"Wait Sir Darenn I’ll get you some more" I hurriedly ran to the kitchen to make toasts for the four of them. I’m glad that they like the simple meal I prepared. I saw Mila smile at me and I felt like I just made a miracle in this house.

It might sound exaggerating but at least I made them a little bit closer even just during a meal. Mila told me that they’re sitting apart from each other every time they’re having their meals. She told me this yesterday and I wanted to ask why?

It’s better to have a small house than to have this huge mansion but you're not that close to your family

And now that they’re eating their meal close to each other. I made them a real family.

When they’re done eating, they all went to their respective rooms.

And I’m taking care of Sir Darenn while still tending with the other siblings’ orders, but I’m more focus on Sir Darenn since he’s still a kid and the others are big enough to take care of themselves especially the twins who have nothing to do but to play pranks on me.

Sir Darenn is really a quiet child unless he’s not on the mood and keeps on throwing he’s toys at me.

Right now, he’s coloring the drawings I drew for him using the marker since he didn't have a coloring book. Back to my days in the orphanage, I also drew for the kids there and they’re the ones coloring it. It’s really a good thing that I had experience taking care of children. At least now, even if Sir Darenn’s not on the mood I can still handle him properly.

The phone inside sir Darenn’s room rang. This is the phone the siblings are using if they need something from each other or if they have some orders for me.

Is it that hard to walk to each other’s room?

But I can’t blame them, this house is too big and you’re not allowed to shout in the corridor because it will surely have an echo.

"Hello?" I asked. I already know who's on the other side of the phone, he’s a voice was manly. Here I go again, feeling some butterflies on my stomach. I think I really have a crush on Sir Daryl.

"Are you available now? I have some orders for you."

I checked on sir Darenn and he looked busy now. "Yes, sir. Just a minute" I put down the phone and talked to sir Darenn.

"Sir Darenn, wait for me here okay? Your brother Daryl called me," I said to him but he didn't care at all so I just went out.

This corridor is too long and sir Daryl’s room is also located in the last room on this corridor. Running would be better. Before I knock on his door, I catch my breath and fix myself first.

*tok tok*

"Come in"

I turned the doorknob and saw him sitting in his chair while typing something on his laptop. "What’s your order, Sir?"

He eyed at me then went back to typing in his laptop. "Can you take this out? Also, my trash bin’s full already so throw it outside please!" I nodded and did what he ask.

I saw him massaging his shoulders. Looks like he’s tired computing their business’ sales and doing other business related stuff.

"When you're done, come back here and massage me" I almost dropped the trash bin because of what he said, and I’m sure my face was as red as a tomato now.

Gosh! I’m going to touch his shoulders?

"If your shy on touching my shoulders then wash your hands first since you just touch some garbage."

I turned around to look at him and he’s still doing what he’s doing earlier, typing.

He’s always reading my mind. Wait, don’t tell me he can read the things I’m saying in my mind now? I silently slapped my face to regain my focus on my job. You are here to work, not to flirt! Remember that Runo!

I took the trash bin out of his room. This was a bit challenging since I had to carry this downstairs and threw it outside then back to his room.

After taking the trash out, I washed my hands first then went straight to my room and took the efficascent oil with me and went back to sir Daryl’s room and knock

"Sir I have an efficascent oil here, would you like to try it?" he raised his eyebrow and I thought he’s going to be angry at me so I got a bit nervous.

"Let me see" I give it to him and he smelled it then nodded and gave it back to me.

"Okay, use that," he said and I got flustered when he started taking his shirt off.

I turn my back at him and realized how stupid I am! It’s as if I plan this so that he’ll take his shirt off!

Of course, he’ll have to take his shirt off! Waaah!

"Hey what are you waiting for? Massage me already" I lower my head as I walk to him.

Gosh! Runo! What were you thinking!

I gulped when I saw his skin as white as radish and he’s a bit skinny for a guy.

Wait, Runo stop being a pervert. Just imagine him as an old man.

I nodded to myself then apply the ointment on my palms and start massaging his shoulders.

"You’re good at this. Are you a former massage therapist?" I laugh at what he said. That’s the exact same thing the oldies from the orphanage tells me.

"Ahaha actually sir, the older workers from the orphanage also orders me to give them a massage" he nodded and stop what he’s doing.

I suddenly miss those elderlies from the orphanage.

Wait, there are too many situations today that’s reminding me of the orphanage huh

"Can you also massage my back later?" I was surprised when he turned around to face me then hold my hands.

He smiled at me just the way he did last time. The one giving me goosebumps.
