Chapter 4

YANNY

The try out game had started, the original members versus the applicants. Abcdef’s seems good, he’s a point guard and he’s the one who’s creating the on game play of his team. All of the applicants will be able to enter the game with equal time limits , each one of them should be playing inside the court for 5 minutes, since only 9 out of 13 applicants got to enter this stage.

“ Your friend is good Yanny, he’s quite small but he jumps high, he’ll be a good player for the team “ Paris stated as she take notes of the records, she’s the one who has the score sheet .

Abcdef seems serious while he’s in the game, he is unbelievably fast and strong despite of his appearance. I actually got nervous at first because he might get injured while playing with those tall strong guys but it seems he’s not that easy to deal with.

Cole’s the one who’s currently dribbling the ball, James is on edge with Abcdef and he won’t be able to get the ball if Cole pass it to him.

Cole looks annoyed, all of the applicants seems to be good in defense , all of his teammates aren’t free and even him has a defender right in front of him.

The original players lead the game but it’s unusual for them to be in this tight situation.

Cole doesn’t have any choice left but to do a drive , he quickly dribbled the ball and run directly towards the basket but he almost lost the ball when Abcdef suddenly switched position with his teammate . Cole immediately took a step back and did a cross over but Abcdef unbelievably got to go with his own phase .

“ Damn” Cole grunted and it was heard throughout the court.

I , myself is in awe and is surprised because of Abcdef’s unbelievable reflexes and speed. The way he stare at his opponent , it’s as if he’s looking at his prey making sure it won’t be able to escape. The players might’ve felt this too, it’s way too heavy and the tension is high, as if the game is a battle of life and death.

We all got back to our senses when we suddenly heard the timer .

“ F-five minutes have passed , next players please “ Paris stated and check her records,

The heavy tension from the court earlier suddenly lighted up and we are freed from it’s choking aura.

“ Shorty “ I smiled at him when he walk towards me, his hair is braided and he’s not wearing his eyeglasses and that made him look so handsome.

The black jersey that he’s currently wearing complimented his fair skin tone, I’ll be labeled as a hypocrite if I won’t confess that he looks very hot and attractive right now.

“ This is the last stage right?” He asked me that caught me off guard, geez it’s embarrassing , did he caught me staring at him?

“ Y-yes, here’s your glasses “ I stuttered and smiled awkwardly at him as I hand him his glasses,

My eyes widened in shock when he suddenly took off his contact lenses without even looking in the mirror,

“ Abcdef!” I hissed at him making him look at me weirdly while trying to see me because he already removed it.

“ You should make sure that your hands are clean before touching your eyes, you already have blurred eyesight and yet you don’t know how to take care of your eyes “ I snapped at him and put the glasses on him with my own hands.

I took a towel from his bag and wiped off his sweat from the head and neck.

“ Turn around “ I ordered him and he obediently obliged,

I was about to raise his jersey up when he suddenly stopped my hand.

“ No, “ he stated seriously making me embarrassed .

What am I doing? To think that I touched him that way! I’m such a bad girl,

I didn’t talked with Abcdef until the whole try out game finished off.

“ So the result of the Try Out will be posted tomorrow, thank you for participating you may all now go” James announced and everyone started to bid their goodbyes and left the court.

ABCDEF

“ why did you tried out for the basketball team Prince?” Mina asked me as soon as I entered my room.

“ There’s someone on the team I need to know” I answered and sat down on the couch and closed my eyes tightly.

Wearing contact lenses is really irritating, if I don’t have any worthy thing that I need from that freaking team I won’t waste my time playing sports.

“ Who? That girl again?” She asked while frowning at me but I shakes my head .

“ No, it’s another person “ I answered and point out my fingers towards the door’s direction telling her to leave.

“ I’ll take my leave then “ she stated and bowed slightly then jumped from my window.

I raised an eyebrow because of her action, guess I should’ve just pointed out the window .

I stand up and was about to walk towards the bathroom when someone suddenly knocked on the door.

I walk towards the door calmly and opened the door casually , my eyes widened slightly because of shock when I saw Yanny smiling awkwardly at me while waving her hand.

“ What are you-“ she covered my mouth with her hand and pushed me forcefully to go inside the room.

She quickly locked the room after that and removed her cap .

I raised an eyebrow because of her actions, what the fuck is she thinking going into a boy’s room at night?

“ Shorty-“

“ Leave Yanny “ I seriously stated looking coldly at her. Why is she doing this? I don’t want to drag her into the mess, why is she here in front of me now?

“ b-but -“

“ I said leave!” I hissed at her making her look at me sadly.

I let out a sigh and turn my head to avoid her gaze, she looks so sad I can’t take it.

“ Are you mad at me?” She whispered faintly, I didn’t look at her and just nod my head. This is the best way to make her out of danger, I don’t plan on getting innocent people die just because of my mistake years ago.

My head snap back at her when I heard her crying, what the fuck!

“ I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you mad, please let’s stay friends” she stated as she cry in front of me.

I gulped hard, why is it so heavy in my chest whenever she’s acting like this? In fact, I don’t even think twice in killing people so why am I so affected? Fuck this.

“ Just Leave “ I stated and turned my back on her only to be stopped when she grabbed my shirt tightly while her cries started to get louder.

“ Abcdef, I’m s-sorry “ she pleaded and it brought me a lot of pain in the chest.

“ Yanny, I don’t want to be your friend anymore, please you’re being a nuisance “ I flatly said and pushed her out of the room then immediately closed it .

My eyes are starting be itchy , my hearts aching so much , it hurts a lot more than a stab of a knife and I can’t breath .

I forcefully punched the wall in front of me as I do everything I can to stop myself from sayin sorry to her. This is the best, this way she’ll never have to be in pain again.

YANNY

I don’t understand why this is so painful, I just met him days ago ! Why do I have to feel this pain just because he don’t want me anymore? I can just live without him starting now, why can’t I just go on ?

I bit my lower lip hardly as I take all of the pain in. I did my part, I said sorry and even begged him to stay friends with me, I should stop thinking about him.

“ What am I thinking sneaking in just to see him? Huh, I’m pathetic” I whispered to myself as I cry my heart out until I slowly fell asleep because of tiredness and emotional pain.

“ Yanny! Let’s go eat?” Leni stated while she’s with Lance.

“ I’ll just go after you guys, I still need to do something !” I stated and smiled at them gently.

They nodded at me and then left the room leaving me alone with my computer.

I was about to leave the when I heard footsteps right in front of the room.

“w-why are you here Miss? Why do you need to spoke with me in this bold m-manner “A familiar voice whispered.

I shake my shoulder and was about to go outside since I don’t plan on eavesdropping when an another person spoke,

“ The Prince wants you to follow all his commands. He actually hates the fact that you can’t do his orders and ordered me to talk to you personally this instant”

My eyes widened in shock as I heard the voice, that voice is from the girl who killed the man! So all of it was true?

“ Besides don’t make me do risky things like this, you don’t want innocent students die just because of your incompetence right?” She added.

My hands are shaking as I took a peek to the outside. My eyes widened when I saw Mrs Monrae’s pale face looking nervously at the girl who’s standing back at me. I can’t see her face but her figure and her hair, it’s the same from that night.

I covered my mouth tightly making sure that I won’t do any sound, I must report this to the police! But I don’t have enough proof, what should I do?

I’m shivering so much right now, my legs feel weak , I want to cry but I can’t seem to shed a single tear .

I listened carefully and slowly look through the window if they are already gone, as soon as I found out that they already left I immediately run towards the Head Master’s office.

I need to report this, I-I need to tell everyone about this!

I tried to open the door but my eyes widened when it’s locked.

Why is it lock?

I’m sweating bullets as I try desperately to open the door.

“ Head Master! Head Master! Please open the door!” I desperately knocked to the door, Head Master is surely here! I need to tell him right away what I saw and heard.

“ Head Master-“ I stopped from calling him and my eyes widened when a fast metal almost hit me in the neck and is now deeply stabbed to the door.

My hands are shivering as I try to touch and pull it out of the door. It’s a nail, a big sharp nail.

My eyes watered as I look at the sign that the nail pierced through. It’s a sign in front the door of the Head Master’s Office.

“Please k-keep quite” I murmured as I stutter while reading the signage.

Because of the sudden shock and fear, darkness slowly pulled me stealing my consciousness.
