CHAPTER 3

Levi felt bad for yelling at Emily especially when Eliakem only asked him how to win a woman’s heart. It wasn’t related to work, and Emily’s sad eyes continued to bother him. Before leaving the office, he checked the copy of the woman’s resume and jotted down her mobile number.

He tried calling her and when she answered the phone call, he cleared the lump on his throat. “Hi, are you free tonight?

“Who is this please?

“It’s Levi,” he replied.

“Levi from where?” She asked.

As he listened to her sweet and honeyed voice on the phone, he thought that she must have known several men with the same name or she wouldn’t be confused about his identity. “From EC Brokerage,” he answered, for a moment she became silent on the other line.

“Hi, Mr. Ching. Why did you call? Did I make a mistake today?” She inquired.

“No, it’s not about work, Emily. You mentioned that your place is close to our office, please come to Starbucks in thirty minutes.” He said before disconnecting the call and he didn’t give her the chance to refuse.

When Levi arrived at the coffee shop, he chose the table outside the store. It’s on the hallway of the terraces and Emily wouldn’t have a hard time finding him. While waiting for her, he ordered a caramel macchiato and a dark mocha Frappuccino for Emily. He had no idea about her preference when it comes to Starbucks coffee but considering the lead time on ordering their drinks, he went ahead and chose a drink for her.

Levi browsed his FB account and searched for Emily’s name. However, he couldn’t find her on social media. He tried the other platform but still, he couldn’t find her name. As he considered the possibilities why she has no accounts on social media, he found her mysterious and he wanted to know her more.

“Am I late?

Levi looked up to the woman who just arrived and he was taken aback by the kind of clothes she’s wearing. He wanted to call her attention that she should choose her outfit wisely but he wasn’t in the position to do that. When he looked around, several eyes were staring at her. “Sit down, Emily.” He ordered but when she crossed her legs, he swallowed his saliva to ignore the sensual image in front of him.

Emily grinned when she saw his reaction towards her outfit. As expected, Levi couldn’t take off his eyes from her tweed shorts and cropped topped blouse. When his eyes lingered at the piercing on her navel, his eyes told her a lot. “Do you like it?” She asked him with a provocative question.

Levi had a wild experience with someone who has several piercings and tattoos on her body, and he wondered if Emily was also wild in bed. “Are you seeing someone right now?” he asked without holding back.

For a few seconds, Emily stared at Levi Ching, and a brilliant idea popped up inside her head. “I’m single, Mr. Ching. Why? Do you want to be exclusive with me?” She inquired.

Levi was astounded at her bluntness and narrowed his eyes at Emily. “What do you mean?” He asked as if he had no idea what she’s talking about.

Emily was taken aback when Levi chose to be a coward and didn’t take her seriously. “You are interested in me, aren’t you?” She asked.

For a moment, Levi was speechless, and he was torn between telling her the truth or lie about it. “In bed, Miss Gosum.” He admitted.

Emily gasped for breath when Levi bluntly answered her inquiry and she didn’t expect him to be honest with her. “Is that how you win a woman’s heart, Mr. Ching? Anyway, if that’s your style, count me out because I don’t like it.” She discouraged him to make a move on her.

He studied the woman carefully and he became more interested in Emily Gosum. “I understand. Anyway, I’m sorry about this afternoon.

Emily smirked at the way he apologized. Even if he wouldn’t be honest about it, she knew that Levi wanted more from her. It was obvious from the moment he exerted the effort to call her. “It’s not a big deal, Mr. Ching.” She said.

“Levi. Just call me Levi from now on,” he corrected her.

Emily nodded and when their drinks arrived, she thanked him for it. “Are you always nice to your staff?” She teased him after sipping the dark mocha frappuccino that he got for her.

“Yes,” he answered.

Emily bit her lip as disappointment began to creep inside her. She assumed that she’s special because he called her out to apologize. “Wow!” She exclaimed.

After their short conversation over coffee, Emily excused herself from Levi to meet some of her friends at the mall. When Levi didn’t stop her from leaving, she was fine about it. Anyway, her first mission to seduce him physically was successful, and her next target was his heart which was a lot harder. However, there was nothing she couldn’t do if she would just put her mind into it!

The following day, Emily stayed inside her car at the parking lot and waited for Levi’s car to arrive. While waiting, she checked her make-up to see if she didn’t overdo it. As usual, she wore a skirt that would give Levi or anyone in the office a peek of her flawless thighs. Unlike yesterday when she showed a little skin near her cleavages, she opted to wear something on top of her blouse today.

Once again, she checked the black blouse she chose to wear to work under the white blazer. The split skirt was short and she knew that a generous amount of her skin would be available for viewing by everyone. Of course, she wouldn’t mind it as long as she would get Levi’s attention later. As a woman who knew how to utilize her assets properly, she completed her look with black high-heeled shoes. Her outfit of the day emphasized her long legs, and when she saw Levi’s car entering the parking lot of EC Building, she smiled and waited for him to come out.

She waited for Levi to enter the building before she got out of the car and followed him discreetly. If her timing would be perfect, they would be in the same elevator.

“Hi,” she smiled after getting on the same lift with Levi.

“Hello Emily, you seem happier today.” Levi noticed, not just her beautiful smile, but also her beautiful legs.

“I am happy to see you,” she jested. Later on, she cringed at the words she said to Levi.
