Remarried to Mr. Billionaire

Chapter One: The Beginning

Today is our first wedding anniversary. However, Mingyu seems to forget it, and I don't want to remind him. If I do this, it only makes me awkward, as if I'm begging for something. But deep in my heart, I do hope he can surprise me.

Mingyu's company is in the east of the city while I work in the west. On my way to work, I get a call from my supervisor, who asks me to go to the east to pick up some documents for him. I am more than pleased to do that. Immediately, I change the direction and drive to the east. Time is running out, and I have no choice but to speed up.

Luckily, I see Mingyu's car at the crossroad. I'm thrilled. That's destiny. I wind down the window and call Mingyu, intending to give him a little surprise. That's when I see Mingyu park the car and a young girl get onto the car, sitting next to him. Her moves are smooth. They cooperate quite well. It's clear that they have done that for a long time.

I am unhappy about it, but I can see that the girl wears the same uniform, and she should be Mingyu's colleague. He may pick her up on the way. I understand it, but it still makes me unhappy. At last, I don't call Mingyu and tell him that I am just next to him. Instead, I watch him drive away with that pretty girl. Yes, she's pretty, like a lotus, white and pure.

After taking the files and returning to the company, I feel uneasy the whole day. I'm never a paranoid person, and Mingyu is also sweet and responsible. I am overthinking, probably. However, I did warn Mingyu that his front seat is mine and mine only. In addition to her parents and sister, only I can sit on that spot. It's RSVP. Mingyu laughs at me for being jealous without reason. In fact, that's my real thought. The front seat of a man's car can only be taken by his lover except for his family. Others should know the rule as well.

After a busy day, it is not until 7 p.m. that I got home. The living room looks empty when I open the light. Mingyu hasn't come back yet.

My phone vibrates in my pocket. It's from a strange caller ID. I hesitate for a while but still pick it up. A strange female voice comes into my hear, "Are you Mingyu's wife? Please pick him up at the entrance of your community."

I hurriedly went downstairs. Under the dime road light, Mingyu leans on a young girl. Mingyu is too heavy, and the girl could barely hold on to it. She stumbles. A strong scent of alcohol penetrates into my nose when I am still far away from them. I frown and dash to them. The young girl is precisely the one that gets on Mingyu's car in the morning. This gives me an alert, but still, I smile to her and greet, "Hi, I'm Mingyu's wife."

She looks at me, but I cannot see any emotion in her eyes. She pushes Mingyu to me and says, "He and I had dinner with some VIP clients. He drank too much. Please take him back. "

"Thank you so much."

The girl doesn't say anything back but waves goodbye and gets on a taxi.

Mingyu is completely drunk. He starts to talk nonsense, which embarrassed me in public. My hands start trembling.

All I want now is to get him home, as quickly as possible. I stumble all the way home with Mingyu, took his clothes off, get him seated in the tub, and opened the shower. He needs some excitement to refresh himself. A drunk person is the worst, and I hate it.

After a while, I find Mingyu is still unconscious. I hold my anger and kneel down, only to find that he is asleep.

The next day, I pretend nothing has happened and prepared a healthy breakfast for Mingyu. He hasn't recovered from the hangover. His phone beeps. From the ring tone, I can tell it is a message. I never monitor his phone, and he knows it well, so he always put his phone on the dinner table without worrying about me.

Watching his phone vibrating, I hesitate for a second and pick it up. My fingers are shivering when I open the message. It's from an unknown number, and the text is even weirder: a letter and a number: i1.

What is it? What does it refer to? I cannot help asking myself.

Mingyu is awakened. I quickly delete the message and put the phone back to the table as if nothing has ever happened.

"Darling, my headaches. Could you please grab me a cup of water?"

I bring the water to him. He leans against the bed and smiles at me, "Sorry, I drank too much last night," He said apologetically.

I nod but don't say anything.

"Who sent me back home?" he asked carefully after gulping down the water.

I grin and reply, "you can guess."

Mingyu is surprised by my answer but soon laughs. His smile is like sunshine, bright, warm, and alluring. "I don't have to guess. My colleague sent me home. Those customers were really not a piece of cake. I drank a lot to settle the deal."

I smile and say nothing.

Mingyu gets up and checks the time. As usual, he quickly washes himself and goes to work without having breakfast.

I stand on the balcony, watching him leave.

I take out the receipt that I take out from his pants when doing laundry last night. It's a receipt from Star KTV. Mingyu has no idea one of my friends works as a security manager in that KTV.

I ask for half a day leave and come to Star KTV, looking for Zhang Qiang, my friend. He is surprised to see me here, as I never go to any entertainment places.

I show him the receipt and ask, "Would you please check the CCTV of this room? from 6 P.M."

He hesitates and refuses me because no one can see the CCTV without permission from the headquarters.

"Only once," I hand an envelope to him.

He's still hesitating.

"No one will know it except you and me."

I make up more stories to strive for his empathy. Finally, he agrees. I let out a sigh of relief and give him a USB, "duplicate the video into the USB so no one can find it out. I'll take it home."

Zhang Qiang stares at me and asks, "you already get married?"

"Yes, I'm married."

Zhang Qiang gives the envelope back to me and smiles bitterly, "You know I've loved you for years. But I have no courage to look for you after graduation."

I smile back and answer, "I know. That's why I know you're working here, but we cannot be together."

After getting the video, I go back to work until Mingyu calls in the afternoon. His sister Mingyue has come, and he askes me to go home early to prepare the dinner.

His sister is still in college, young but a pain in the ass. Mingyu has a good personality and temper, but his sister is a peacock. Every time she comes to my home, she acts like she is the empress.

I don't like her at all, but Mingyu adores her.

After getting off work, I buy a lot of food that Mingyue loves and hurry home. When I open the door, I am shocked by what I see: mud footstep on the floor, and a basket of turnip scattered beside the entrance. The TV has been turned on and making a tremendous noise. Mingyue is laughing like a monster on the sofa with the remote control in her hand.

I hold my anger and put all food that I have bought from the supermarket into the kitchen before cleaning the floor and the turnips.

When I walk to the sofa, I finally understand why there is so much mud on the floor. Mingyue gets in without taking her shoes off. The muddy boots are still on her feet, and my new dress is on her as well. It's my new dress, and even I am not willing to wear it.
