Seraphina had spent a year in the palace. Her real identity, concealed. She managed to completely avoid Alpha Gordon every time he visited the palace. 

She had Also turned twenty-five now and her Hybrid powers were starting to manifest, without anyone's knowledge. Not even Seraphina herself notices anything yet. 

The crown prince, Zephyr, had turned twenty-five, He was old enough to find his mate as he'll be the next Alpha of the The Night walker pack. 

He was taking his normal Stroll with his guards when he spotted a damsel doing the king's laundry. “Who is she, Rex?” Zephyr asked his guard. 

“She must be one of the maids.” Rex replied. Not satisfied with the answer, Zephyr took a deep breath and approached the maid. 

Seraphina was spooked to see the crown prince walk to her. She waited in anticipation till he reached her. “Hi, I'm Zephyr, the crown prince. as you Know...” Zephyr said with a broad smile. 

Flustered, Seraphina quickly bowed to greet the crown prince. “ It's an honor to speak to you, your majesty.” She said, 

Zephyr stretched out his hand to hold Seraphina's. He immediately let go as soon as their hands touched. A sudden sharp Electricity flowed through his body. 

He jerked back and stared in shock. Seraphina was more confused as to why the crown prince suddenly moved back from her. “Are you okay, your majesty?” She asked meekly. 

“Rex, I think I have found my mate!” Zephyr said in excitement.

Alpha Imogen was in his room reading a book when his crown prince walked in, Looking restless. “Father, I have found her. I have met my mate!” Zephyr said, still panting heavily.

Imogen dropped his book and sat up. “Did you say you found your mate? Already?” He asked in disbelief.

“Yes father. She is one of the maids...” Zephyr said and suddenly Paused. He had completely forgotten the one rule his father always sang to his ears. 

If he wants to be The next king of the Green Hales, It is a must he marries from the Noble Families. “Do not utter another word about this person to me again. You didn't find a mate, you were just seeing things.” Alpha Imogen said.

“But Father, I felt it the instant I saw her. She is my fated mate.” Zephyr said meekly. Alpha Imogen was feeling irritated now. He angrily asked The crown prince to leave his room. 

Zephyr left the king's room in shame. But he didn't give up on Seraphina there. He Continued trying to convince the king that she was his true mate and that her background didn't really matter. 

Alpha Imogen was forced to give in on seeing who this maid was. Seraphina was asked to attend the king's next meeting so they'll question her on who she really was. 

Few of the King's ministers were present at the meeting too and so was the Head mage of the royal pack. Monica prepared Seraphina for the questioning. She never knew of the incident with the crown prince as Sera never told her. 

She didn't know about it until the king asked for Sera. “Make sure you do not look in the king's eye when you speak to him. And only give answers to questions that are asked. If anything goes wrong there, I might not be able to save you anymore.” Monica stated. 

After preparing Seraphina for the meeting. She was taken by the guards to the king's hall. The hall was a very huge one and had so many fancy curtains and furniture. 

The hall immediately went silent as Sera walked in. She was led to the middle of the hall and made to stand there. “We are here to address a serious issue which could decide the future of the Kingdom.” The Royal mage stated. 

Seraphina, lost in her thoughts, couldn't even hear what the mage was saying. All she could hear were echoes fading in her head. 

The guard next to Sera poked her with his finger and she finally came back to her senses. “Who are you? How did the Crown prince come to the conclusion that you're his mate.”

“ I'm Seraphina. And I do not know what you're talking about.” she said and bowed. 

The Ministers stared at each other in shock. “ Which pack are you originally from?” The mage asked.

“I didn't have a pack. For a long time, I lived in a small village outside the Green Hales until some blood sucking monsters attacked and killed most of the villagers.” Sera replied. 

Alpha Imogen remembered the war with the vampires many years ago. There were reports of many villages attacked by the Vampires. 

He sighed and stood up. The Ministers all watched as he descended from his throne and walked to Sera. She was still staring at the floor as she didn't dare to raise her head.

Her heart throbbed in fear as she saw the shadow of a person approaching her. His scent grew closer and he stopped when he reached Sera. 

“I do not understand why Zephyr suddenly saw you as his mate, and cannot allow it. You are not a noble and that is a problem. We do not even know what your actual bloodline is.” Alpha Imogen said.

He sighed and nodded at the guards telling them to take her away. The guards held her arm and they turned to leave. “Wait!” The mage suddenly said. 

They halted and watched as the mage walked to Them and ran his hand through Seraphina's hair. “Get me a bowl of water. ” He said to the guards. 

One of the Guards left and soon came back holding a bowl containing water. He handed it to the mage and the mage emptied it on Seraphina's head. 

Seraphina gasped in shock. Her hair was just dyed by Monica and it wasn't dry yet. The coloured dye easily watched off revealing The long white Hair. 

Every minister in the room rose in shock. The king was more perplexed to see a maid with a white hair. “What really are you?” The mage asked Sera. 

Quivering in fear, Seraphina couldn't find the words to get Herself out of this now. “ I'm.. I'm just...” She was saying but suddenly paused. 

She fell to the ground grunting in pain. Her shape was slowly changing and the mage could feel a strange energy coming from her. “ Is her wolf acting up?” He asked himself. 

The guards pulled their swords ready to attack her if anything happened. She slowly stood up, her fangs growing out so Much and her eyes as red as blood.
