Lucy POV

"Wow" Dani breathed out and I nodded.

"I know, it's crazy" I say and she agreed with me.

"Wait, did you just say that he thinks he might like me?" She squeals, her eyes lightening up and smiling.

"Yes Dani, I don't think Chad is going to lie about something like that" I say and she giggled, making me laugh.

I had just told her about what Chad had told me this morning. Just like me, she was shocked and, to be honest, I couldn't blame her for acting like this. Her reaction was more than enough to know that she had a crush on Darren.

"So, do you like him?" I ask, smiling slightly. I knew the answer was going to be yes but I have to make sure.

"That's the problem" she says, frowning.

"What? What's the problem?" I ask. Call me dumb, but I had no idea what she was going on about.

"He's a player, Lucy. Boys like him make you feel beautiful, they make you feel special. Then, when they get you into bed, they take your heart and crush it. That's all they want Lucy, and I'm not ready to get my heart broken again" She says, and I take her into a hug.

I know she was still worried about boys because of her stupid ass ex boyfriend. Though I must admit, he had me fooled too. Mark was the perfect guy in Dani's eyes. I thought he was a good boyfriend to her too. He bought her chocolates, took her out on dates, showed her how much he claimed to 'love' her. Then, he made one night extra special and Dani decided to give him her v- card since she was so madly in love with him. After the deed was done, he literally got up and got changed, then he smirked at her and told her to get out. He told her it was all lies and he just thought she would be a good fuck.

Since that day, Dani had a constant scar of what he had done, since he goes to our school.

"You never know Dani, I'll find out more. You know how much of a good investigator I am" I say, trying to break the silence and cheer Dani up.

"You'd do that?" She asked, a smile breaking out onto her face.

"Of course I will. How many times have you saved my ass from boys?" I asked, suppressing a giggle and she laughed.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She jumped up from her seat and hugs me. I laugh and hug her back.

"When you've finished disrupting the class, we'd like to continue" The teacher sneers at us, making me blush and lower my head in embarrassment.

Chad and Darren were staring, well, more like Darren was staring at Dani whilst Chad was giving me a 'told you so' look, nodding in Darren's direction.

"Sorry" I mumble quietly, hating the attention on me.

"What was that?" The teacher sneered and I clenched my fists.

I don't like this new substitute teacher. She is a total bitch!

"She said sorry!" Chad says and I reminded myself to thank him later.

"Oh" The teacher says and when she sees Chad and Darren, bats her eyelashes.

Really girl.

Chad looks over at me and I mouth "Thank you" to him, making him nod.

We carry on doing our work when a note is on my desk.

I need to talk to you after class

"Ooh, a love letter" Dani squeals and i laugh.

"No Dani. No love letter here" I say and she frowned.

" but why? You guys would be so cute togeth-" but i cut her off.

"Dani! can you even hear what you are saying right now?" I ask in disbelief.

I mean... me and Chad?

Yes, he was undeniably hot and i wouldn't say I haven't thought about having him as a boyfriend, but us together? No. It wouldn't never happen.

He's hot and I'm not.

He's popular and I'm not.

We complete opposites. And I would t like me anyway.

Dani's eyes light up as she smiled at me.

"He likes you" she whispers and my eyes widen.

"No he doesn't" I say, my heart beating furiously. "He doesn't like me, he'll never like me because he is the complete opposite to me" I ramble.

"Yes, but opposites attracts. We all want what we can't have. He can't have you which makes him want you. Plus, girl you're gorgeous... any boy would like you" she says and I roll my eyes but smile.

"You're crazy" i state.

"Not as crazy as Chad is for you" she says making my jaw drop.

"Shut up!" I hiss. "He doesn't like me" I say looking at her.

She smirked and i noticed the teacher looking at me in annoyance.

Chad was also looking at me. He was smiling but with all the things that had just been said, I looked away.

He couldn't like me and he wouldn't.

"Ms Lucy. Please explain to the class what you and Ms Danielle was talking about" she says, giving us a sweet, sarcastic smile.

"Um... nothing" I say quickly, smiling at her.

"So the ' he doesn't like me' was nothing?'' She asked with a smirk.

I froze, feeling everyone's eyes on me. I didn't like it... one bit.

"Miss!" Chad stands up, eyes wide.

"Yes Chad?" She sighs, looking at him with a wink.

Isn't she a teacher?

"There is a massive spider over th-" he starts but many girls start screaming.

You've got girls stood on chairs, some ran outside and some were crying.

I just stood there trying to figure out what was happening.

There was no spider. I would've saw it other wise.

Chad nodded his head at me then towards the door.

I stood there, trying to figure out what to do whilst girls were running around from the "spider".
