Lucy POV

I finished my essay shortly after Chad said that time would tell who he likes.

I'll admit, there was a small feeling of jealousy when he admitted there was some one but I pushed it away.

I shouldn't be jealous.

He walked with me to my next lesson.

"I think Darren and Dani are going on a date tonight" Chad smirks, standing with me outside the class room.

"Really?" I ask. Dani hadn't told me that yet because I was doing my essay. I felt bad that I left her but hanging around with Chad longer than I want to is going to my head. I start thinking about what to say so I don't mess up, I thought about how I look around him and even how he feels about me.

It was so annoying.

"Yeah, I know where they are going to" Chad says and I smile.

"Where?" I ask and he shushed me before they both came over.

"What are you two talking about?" Darren asked, his arm over Dani's shoulder.

"Nothing much, I was helping her with her essay" Chad lies effortlessly and I smile, nodding to agree with him.

"Really? What was the essay about?" Darren tests, raising a brow. "And why would you both be talking about an essay when just now you's both did the essay in the library?" He asked, smirking.

"It was Romeo and Juliet, I went to look for Lucy and she needed help. We were discussing how to make it even better, although she did do a really good job on it" Chad smiled, obviously lying. He wouldn't help me with homework for anything in the world.

"She wouldn't ask you for help" Dani shot back, her lips pulling up into a small smirk. Darren looked at her with a proud smile before turning back.

"Actually I would. I've known him since forever and he is a nerd at heart" I smirk. Chad glared at me as I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing.

"I knew it!" Darren grins, going along with my plan.

"Anyway, we came over to let you know that after the date, there is a party at a friend of mine, he lives around the corner to mine" Darren explains, "it's going to be a few of us from here going and a few people from college, if you want to go?" He asked, I nodded.

"Sure" I grin and Chad smirked.

"Is there going to be alcohol?" he asked and Darren nodded, "Then count me in" I laughed along with Dani.

"Cool, we will let you know later"

"Okay, bye guys" Chad smiles before they walk away.

"Where are they going?" I ask as soon as they are out of ear shot.

"I'll take you there tonight" He smirked, looking down at me since he was quite taller than me.

"What?" I ask and he chuckled.

"Tonight we will go to where the are going on the date and then maybe see what happens and if the are getting on" he says and I smile.

Sure. It would be fun to see what happens.

It was 6pm and I was ready. I just wore a pretty blue dress and had my hair down because Chad told me it was quite fancy.

"Hey neighbour" I see Chad, arms folded as he smiled at me from across the window.

"Hey Chad. Do I look under-dressed?" I asked, taking my eyes off of him before he notices me staring at him.

I had to say, he looked good. His hair was pushed back and he had on some black skinny jeans with a white button up tucked in.

"You look beautiful" He says making me stop what I was doing.

The sincerity in his voice warmed my heart and I felt butterflies.

"Thank you" I smile, putting on some small nude coloured high heels.

Chad and I had decided to go to the restaurant they were at and to see how they were doing.

"Meet ya downstairs, yeah?" he asked and I nodded, putting on a swipe of pink lipstick before turning off my light and shutting my door.

I walk downstairs to be greeted by my parents.

"Ooh, where are you going?" My dad asked, "You look pretty pumpkin" he adds.

"Thanks dad, I'm going out with Chad. We are gonna spy on Dani and Darren to see how their date is going" I smile and my mum squeals.

"Or you and Chad are going on a double date with Dani and Darren?" My mum questions and I shook my head.

The doorbell rings.

"Okay, bye mum and dad. I'm going to a party later so I guess I'll be home a little later than usual" I say and they smiled.

"Okay pumpkin, have a good night" Dad smiled and I grin before opening the door and shutting it behind me.

"Ready to go" Chad asked, grabbing my hand and and opening the door for me.

"Yes" I smile, "Thank you" I add and he grinned.

"It's okay" He says before walking around to the drivers side.

We arrive shortly after, the drive was filled with Chad being goofy and making me laugh.

"So, I requested that we have a table near them because Darren told me he requested for a booth near the back so Dani could see the view" Chad smirked before he winked.

"Okay" I say and he opened the door for me.

I immediately spotted them. They were sat in a booth and both laughing.

"We have the table behind them" Chad whispered before the waiter took us to our table.

I sat down and we looked at the menu.

"What you getting?" he asked and I shrugged.

"You pick for me" I say and saw his eyes light up.

"Really?" He asked and I nodded, a small smile stretching on my lips.

"Of course" I say and he smiled.

A waiter came over and he ordered for both of us.

In the corner of my eye, I see Dani look over at us in complete shock before she smiled at Darren.

I saw Darren look out the window before she glared at me, mouthing the words "Bathroom now".

I see Dani excuse herself and I do too before I meet her in the bathroom.
