It’s Saturday! Which means no work for me. I woke up late - and when I say late I mean 12pm. I decided to take a 1-hour bath in the hot tub and have a late brunch. Now what to do? I groaned staring up at the ceiling. It’s so boring. What am I supposed to do? I’m used to having Shanelle with me so that we could gossip and talk about random stuff. Sadly she said she was going somewhere and will be busy for the day.

I sat up and looked out of the window. I can’t go out. I lay down again and stared at the ceiling. Hmm….so what should I do now? Think about life? Nahh too boring. A picture of Damian popped up in my mind and I blushed. Wah why am I blushing? I rolled on one side and cupped my cheeks. Wow Aphira as if that would stop the blushing. He’s grown into a handsome man. I wonder wh--

The doorbell rang and I groaned standing up. At least this would get my thoughts off Damian for a while. I dragged my feet to the door and opened it. “What do y- OH EM GEE Girl I miss you!” I squealed and hugged tightly Shanelle. She laughed and hugged me back. “I know. Who wouldn’t miss someone like me?” She said and brushed her hair around her shoulder. I rolled my eyes and dragged her in shutting and locking the door behind us. You never know when burglars and thieves may come in.

“Wow this is a big change for you. From a mansion to this small place that’s like a third of your room.” She said and I nodded. She made herself comfy on the couch and I made us some juice. “It is but I got used to it anyways. Ever since I moved here I had to do things on my own. I cook my breakfast, do my laundry, etc.” I said and poured her a glass. I gave it to her and she hummed sipping it.

“I see. I’m still stuck in our house. Nothing will ever convince my parents to let me do the same thing as you. I don’t worry though I only have a year ‘till I take over our company. So any hot guys here?” She asked and my mind immediately went to Ryu and Damian. “Oooh~ Lil Aphi here is blushing. Spill.” She said and I grinned.

“There’s two actually--” I started and she interrupted me with a squeal. “--the first guy’s name is Ryu…now that I think about it I never got his last name. His name is Ryu though. Here’s a pic of him.” I took out my phone and scrolled through my gallery. I tapped one and showed it to her. This was a pic I secretly took while we were having that lunch date. She started freaking out. “I have to meet him! He’s hot. Lucky bitch.” She playfully punched my arm and I laughed. “Who’s the other one?” She asked and my laughter died down.

“You know him. His name is Damian Salvator.” I said and her jaw dropped. I told the story of my childhood with Damian to her before but she doesn’t know about him getting Amnesia yet. “You finally met him? I’m so proud of you! Did he recognize you? What did he say? What did you say?” She asked multiple questions after. I held up a hand and she stopped talking.

“Something happened. I told you that he left right?” I asked ad she nodded her head fast. “He got operated and the metal piece that got stuck in his brain was taken out. But then after that he woke up not remembering anything. He got Amnesia obviously. His parents never told us because at that time we had problems with the company." I stopped taking a breath. "When I met him I was shocked and ecstatic. I even teared up in joy and hugged him but he pushed me away saying he doesn't know me. I was so hurt but after that I met his parents and then they wold me everything." A tear trickled down my cheek and I wiped it away.

Shanelle crawled over to me and brought me in a hug. I smiled and hugged her back. We sat there in silence before she pulled away. "So you said he's hot right? Well then show me a pic!" She said and I laughed. I scrolled down my gallery and then found a pic of him. I showed it to her and she smiled brightly. "I'm so jealous of you! You have two handsome hot men around in your office. Can I have one?" She asked and I laughed. She always knows how to make me laugh. We chatted for a bit before she said she had to go.

"How long are you staying here?" I asked as she stood outside. "For a month. I'm staying at a hotel named Crowned Legacy far from here. I'll visit from time to time." She said. I nodded and followed her out. I waved goodbye as her car sped off. I went back to my room and turned on the TV. I miss mom and dad. Wouldn't hurt to call them right? I dialed mom's number and it rang.

"Hello? Aphira? Are you alright you called." My mother's voice was heard. Geez just because I called doesn't mean I'm in trouble. Does she even have faith in me? "Yes I'm fine mom. I just wanna know what's been happening there." I said while turning down the volume of the TV. I twirled my hair while waiting for their response. "Your father is currently sleeping. He's tired from all the work from the company so I took over to let him rest. How's your independent life going? You know you can come back home anytime. The mansion is just a few kilometers away. I could send driver to get you there if you want." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"Mom." I said and she sighed. "I'm sorry baby. I'm just worried." She said and I heard some rustling of papers from the other side. "I know you don't want me out here because you think that it's unsafe and that I wouldn't be able to survive. But how am I gonna be able to learn if I stay locked up in the mansion? Anyways I..." I started telling her all about Damian. Her reaction was mixed with shock, anger, sadness and understanding.

“Oh that’s horrible. I--" She stopped talking and I heard another voice come in. It must be her assistant telling her something. I guess this is goodbye now. "I'm sorry darling but I have to go now. I have to attend a business meeting in 5 minutes. Bye! Love you!" She said before hanging up. I listened to the long beep after. I sighed and shut my phone. I stood up and decided to make myself some pasta. Food always comforts me.
