Chapter Eight✨

ANWAAR'S POV. . .

My relationship with Kydah is blowing and I'm liking it so much that I just wanna ask her to marry me. But I don't want to push her into things as she's also new to this. Believe, I want us to spend every second of our lives together and I don't want to take chances. A beautiful girl can get swooped off her feet in no time and I'll be at the corner sulking.

Nasreen's wedding took place last two months and everything is setting into place with Kydah. She's opening up to me and telling me her worries, dreams, favorite stuff and all. To say I'm ecstatic will be an understatement of the century.

"Ya Anwaar!" My immediate younger sister Nourah called out bringing me out of my reverie or should i say daydream.

"Yeah." I answered absent-mindly. If my mind was with her, then I don't know where Kydah will have place in, hah, cliche.

"Abba asked for you!" She mumbled when she saw that I'm not paying attention at her.

"Where is he?" I ask, fully giving my attention to her this time. I don't play when it comes to my father!

"His living room," she grinned at me when she finally get my attention but I only send a glare at her.

"Okay!" I said and stood up from my bed and straight we walk to my father living room which is in the other side if the house.

"Assalamu Alaikum," I said walking into my father's brown living room.

"Wa'alaikum salam," Abba replied with his deep voice but that isn't what worried me, the stern look on his face is. His face is not always like that.

"You asked for me,"I said sitting down on the carpeted floor with Nourah hot in my tail but Afnaan is clinging onto Abba's arm but the side.

"Yes Anwaar!" Abba replied, his stern face not faltering abit and that really scare me.

"Where's your mother?" he asked, looking up at us on the floor.

"I'm here!" We heard Ammi said coming into the living room with her face as stoic as ever. What is going on?! Abba with stern face and Ammi with stoic, this screams trouble.

"Good. Anwaar do you have anyone in mind?" Abba asked straight forward, that's what I like about him but not at the moment!

"Err..." I was cut off before I could continue with my words.

"Save it! Even if you do, I already have someone for you and the wedding is taking place in two month," Abba said sternly with no nonsense face and I know I have no way out of this fucking marriage. I can't go back to my Kydah and tell her this, this is just stupid.

"Ok Abba," I said heart broken, completely shattered.

"Who's the girl?" Ammi asked and from her voice I know she's tried her best to stop him from this wedding but couldn't.

"Em... No need. It's changing nothing so just forget about who she is, he'll find out after the wedding," Abba said dismissing me completely.

I'm in my room not knowing what to do, not knowing how to tell Kydah all this... Ya Allah! This is too much for me at the moment, I want to ruin everything.

I can't say no to Abba. He always do what I want and what I asked for, For once I want to fulfill his wishes but it's hard. Not that I can't defy him but his face told me not to do so.

"Ya Anwaar," Our last born Afnaan called knocking at the door to my room.

"Come in!" I solemnly answered.

"Ya Anwaar bakaci abinci ba (you didn't eat anything) since morning fah," she as usual, whined. She's the last born and loves doing everything whiny.

"I'm not hungry!" I almost snap at her.

"Are you sick?" She probed.

"No" I answered annoyed.

"Ok. Amma asked for you."

"Where's she?"

"Her room"she answered walking out.

"Ammi." I called knocking at the door to her room after endless gruntings from my room.

"Come in!" I heard her voice from her room.

"You asked for me," I  said lying my head on her thighs, she is always there for me.

"Yes Anwaar," she whispered slowly, "I'm sorry for your father's reaction you know he doesn't like breaking promises that's why he did that right?" She's still trying to hide his action.

"Yeah Ammi I know!"

"Just keep praying Allah will choose what's the best for us," she run her hand through my head.

"Ok Ammi," I smiled a little.

"Go and eat. You look really sick!"

"I'm not hungry"I whined.

"I said go and eat. It's an order!"

"Toh."  I said standing up to leave the room to the kitchen.

"Ya Anwaary!" Adiva my younger sister, Nourah's immediate sister, said coming towards me in the kitchen.

"Divy!" I forced out with a tight lipped smile. Not in the mood to talk.

"You look sick!" she said touching my cheeks inspecting my face like a nurse.

"I'm perfectly fine!" I roll my eyes at her.

"Uhmm...I see!" She gave up.

"So any latest?" I ask trying to make a conversation to remove the wedding stuff out of my mind and how I'll break this to Kydah.

"Amma said you're getting married!" she said almost squealing, "but we don't know the mystery girl" she murmured sadly.

"Yeah. Let's change the topic," I mumbled out.

"Ok!" she said and started talking about their upcoming prom next week and her date who's Amdaad -Kydah's brother. Even though he has graduated -he's in 300level now- but because they're dating he won't allow her to go with anyone...He's a jealous person just like me. How I wish my dream will come true!
