AFTER Meredith’s club meeting, she went straight to Venza Café which is Shanaia’s cousin’s Café, because today is her first day. She chose to be a dishwasher so that no one would noticed her working there at the age of seventeen.

“Good evening, Sir Magnus!” she greeted the owner of the café when she saw him.
“It’s great that you’re here early. Here’s your hair net and apron. Today is rush hour so work must be completed quickly. But that doesn’t mean you won’t be cautious in your actions. Remember, you have to pay for it if you break it!” Marcus said as a reminder.
“Yes, Sir!”
“Good! You may now start your work.”
She nodded then quickly put on the hair net and apron before she proceeded to her workstation. 
Meredith could breathe a sigh of relief when the café closed at ten o’clock. Her palms were almost wrinkled from being soaked in water for four hours. Her feet were also hurt from standing for so long. Fortunately, she was able to return home immediately.
“Hi, Mom! Why are you here outside? It’s foggy here,” she said when she noticed her mother waiting for her outside the gate.
“I waited for you because I’m worried. How was your work? Aren’t you having difficulty?”
She shook her head. “Don’t worry, Mom. I’m fine. It won’t take long for my body to adjust. And I’m enjoying my job.”
Her mother smiled. “Have you eaten? I heated your favorite porridge.”
“I’m full. Sir Magnos has already treated our dinner so don’t worry about me.”
“Okay. Let’s go inside so you can take a shower and rest.” She agreed when she remembered that they had activity research the next day.

“DO YOU think we forgot something?” the cooking club president asked Meredith after they had placed their purchases in the compartment of her car in the Mall parking lot.
It’s Friday and they’re at the supermarket getting supplies and ingredients for the Swimming Club members’ meals.
She took a quick glanced at the list she was holding. “I completely forgot about the morde dark compound. I’ll just go back inside for a minute.
“Alright!” And she dashed back to the supermarket.
“Monde dark compound, where are you?” she talked to herself while looking for it on the shelves.
“There you are!” she said when she finally saw it but suddenly frowned when it was placed at the top part of the shelves. How will she get it?
Right! She needs to find a merchandiser who can assist her, but she saw someone else. It’s Randall, that’s why she hid on the edge of the shelf. When she realized what she had done, she shook her head. She couldn’t talk to him at that time because, first and foremost, someone was waiting for her in the parking lot. So she turned around and reached for the compound she was going to use to make chocolate pudding. Her cousin specifically requested it because he didn’t taste it when she made it previously.
A minute later, someone grabbed the compound and handed it to her.
“Thank—” she didn’t finish her words when she saw Randall. The man who had been bothering her mind for a few nights.
Their world also seemed to stop when their eyes locked. Their faces are so close to each other that they are almost squinting. But for an unknown reason, Meredith’s forehead suddenly wrinkled at the same time as the memories of her dream haunted her. 
Two people who love each other very much but also deeply hurt. 
Until she felt his hand wiping her tears, that’s why she quickly brushed his hand away and left without looking back.
“Hey! What took you so long? Are you okay? Why are you so pale?”
She held both of her cheeks. She had no idea why she reacted the way she did when he saw him again.
Carlota handed her a bottle of water. “Here, drink this to calm you down.” 
She accepted it and took a sip.
“Are you okay now?”
She nodded and decided to go back to school.

THE NEXT DAY they arrived at school and one by one boarded the BSU bus which will serve as their service.
“Come on! Hurry up! I already informed you of our call time, but you are still late! Are you not ashamed of the other Club? They arrived earlier than you!” John Person preached to its members.
“We’re very sorry, Captain,” his members apologized.
Meredith and her club boarded after the swimming club members.
When she got close to her cousin, she handed him a cold bottle of water.
“Drink that to cool down your head.”
He smiled. “Thanks!”
Meredith looked around for a seat. She was about to take a seat in the middle when her cousin called her.
“Where will you sit?”
“In the middle,” she replied.
“You sit beside me,” he said, which she immediately rejected.
Her cousin is being protective of her again.
“I don’t want to be seated in the back or in the front!”
“And why is that?”
“I easily get dizzy when I sit on the side of the wheel,” she explained. 
I get dizzy easily when I sit on the driver's side," she explained.
When she got on the bus, she would sit in the middle regardless of whether there was a vacancy in front or back.
When she get to the middle, there was already a person sitting in a two-seated place near the window. She just didn’t notice earlier because the person was sleeping and was leaning against the window. Fortunately, the bus is air-conditioned so she doesn’t have to wear earphones. She only uses it when she rides an ordinary bus.
They were halfway through their destination when she couldn’t bear to open the window curtain. Because she’s not used to not seeing the road they are taking.
She smiled wildly when she succeeded, the scenery outside was breathtaking. Her smile vanished as the person next to her closed the curtain. She still has no idea who is seating next to her because the person’s hoodie is all over its face.
She waited a few more minutes. She just want to make sure that the person next to her sleeps soundly again. When she heard the soft snoring, she slowly opened the curtain once more.
“What the hell! Who dare—” the person next to her couldn’t finish when they both recognized each other. 
They were taken aback. But just like before, Meredith’s heart skips a beat.
“R-Randall? Oh, I’m sorry if I woke you up. I-it’s just that I’m not used to not being able to see the scenery when I travel,” she explained shyly.
Randall bowed slightly to apologize to everyone when he gets their attention to his sudden outbursts.
“Randall, do you have a problem with my cousin?” John Person asked who was now glaring at him from the front.
“N-no, Captain. I was just shocked because I hadn’t slept all night,” he explained.
Her cousin didn’t speak anymore and just sat down again.
He adjusted his seat. “Would you like us to switch places?” he suddenly asked her.
“Huh?”
“I-it’s just that I’m dazzled by the sun.”
“O-okay.”
When they switched seats, he sat and bowed on the armrest of the chair. She looked at him, facing his back, and felt like she was going to cry again, so she distracted herself by looking out the window.

“YAHOO!”
“Finally!”
Some of the members of the Swimming Club shouted as they reached their destination.
“The rest of you help the cooking club lift all their things,” John Person directed to members who immediately obeyed.
Meredith smiled at her cousin. “Thank you!”
He nodded. “As long as my chocolate pudding is bigger and plentiful than the others.”
She laughed at her cousin’s antics. “You’re so greedy!”
He shook his head. “It’s not that I’m greedy. I’m just charging you for making me worried last time when you and Randall were locked in the meeting room!”
“Fine!” she surrendered.
He messed up her hair. “Alright, rest now. We will have our lunch around one o’clock since everyone had their snacks on the bus a while ago.
“Okay!” Then they set up their tents on the beach.
They are now at a resort where they can perform various activities. After they finished setting up their tents and rested for a while, they started cooking their lunch. They planned to cook various types of seafood and serve it on banana leaves with a variety of side dishes where they would eat everything they could with their bare hands. 

AFTER they had lunch, the swimming club went to rest for a while so that they had energy for the activity they were going to do. When Meredith finished putting away the food they had eaten, she decided to take a walk on the beach to digest the food she ate when Joebeth noticed her leaving.
“Where are you going, Mer?!” she asked.
“I just want to take a walk to digest the food I ate !” They were quite far from each other so they both screamed a bit.
“Just don’t go too far, okay?!” She nodded.
“Please return as soon as possible so that we can prepare a snack!” Joebeth added.
“Copy, Miss Chenny!” Then she started walking.
Meredith could feel the warm water from the sea waves as it reached her feet. That resort has black sand so she could clearly see the shells on the shore. The sea was also calm and she paid attention to the other tourists who were enjoying the sea waves that the water was shallow because even in the far part the water was only waist deep.
When she reached the rock’s formation, she did not expect to see Randall. He was sitting there with his back leaning against the big rock. His eyes were closed while listening to music from his earphones. She quietly approaches him to see his appearance up close. The wind and waves were strong so it was hard for him to feel her presence.
He had Viking-black hair, bristly eyebrows, a hawkish nose, his eyes were almond-shaped, defined cheekbones, a concrete jaw, and a Titan’s shoulders. Everything about him is beyond perfect.
A minute later, she took out her phone from her shorts pocket and took a picture of him.
Until suddenly one of her hands moved and was about to touch his cheek when she abruptly pulled it back as if she felt sadness and fear again.
What’s going on? She doesn’t understand herself. There are times she’s happy when she saw him but there are also times when she seems to be scared of him.
“Who really are you? Is it possible that you are the person in my dream?” she asked herself then left as soon as she saw him move.
In the evening, his cousin and its members thought of making a bonfire using the wood they had saved and having a little fun because tomorrow they will return to the city. Others also thought of drinking light alcohol while others played spin the bottle. 
They were having a good time when suddenly something exploded from the fire causing everyone to panic.
