I stretched my body as I welcome the morning with my eyes still closed because of the sun rays projecting in front of my window. I wanted to stay in my bed forever but I had no choice but to get out from my bed to do a one hour jogging around the neighborhood. Today was Sunday and this was my rest day. I was very busy lately that I couldn't spare an extra time for myself and of course for my health. It's been two days since I passed out outside where Karl our company bodyguard found and help me. I didn't want to think about him anymore. I'm tired of waiting and to be neglected again for the second time. Besides he was happy with Jean his housemate or sister I don't know if he was just fooling me around. I took a deep breath as I stepped outside my condo. I missed the fresh air when I was at home. I missed my mom and dad also. It's been six months since I visited them because I was in Makati and they're in Cavite. It's not that far but since my broke up with Jake I was afraid to talked to them in person because I know what will be our conversation and I'm tired of it.

I decided to keep a low profile from my family although I missed them so much. I put my earphones on my ears and I started to jogged just two kilometers away from my condominium. I brought one liter of distilled water with me if ever I felt thirsty. I passed the supermarket because it's not far from my place so I decided to dropped by. I I already ran halfway so maybe it's time to take a bit rest. When I came inside I saw Jean, she's one of the salesclerk and she smiled at me. "Hi Ms...uhhmm...",she hardly recall my name." It's Kath!", I told her. That's the time she realized my name. " Yeah, sorry I had a bad memories especially to an old lady like you", she said. I understand what she meant. " Excuse me?", I told her. I'm irritated this time but I just leave it off. " Joke! I mean to such a pretty lady like you", she jokingly added. She kind of funny but next time she would do this to me in front of many people maybei could give her a very memorable lesson. " I'll go ahead bye", I said before I slapped her. " Wait! it's my time to sign out so could you come to the house?Karl prepared a breakfast so you can join us",she offered me for a breakfast

Despite of what happened in the office yesterday I doubt to come with her. Karl was mad at me and I admitted that it was my fault.

" No maybe next time I'll have an appointment today", I just lied. But this girl was really good annoying. " Please ...just today", she begged for me. I had no choice but to come with her. I was glad I had my jacket with me because I'm full of sweats all over.

Karl pov

" That brat really got my nerves", I said. Jean just texted me that she had a visitor coming so I had to add the ratio of our breakfast. I told her not to invite people frequently because we're already fixed on our food budget.

I woke up early to prepare our breakfast. I cooked fried rice (leftover rice), sun side up eggs, garlic longanisa and a fried hotdogs. Maybe she invited again her fat friend Lisa so maybe this would be okay for us. Last time as far as I remember she ate all the leftovers because the food I prepared was I sufficient for her.

Everything was ready on the table. I heard the bell ring from the door so I walked over and opened it. " Hi fatty", I told her friend.They both stared to each other until I realized that she's not Lisa. " What ! Me? Fatty?",she burst out like a bomb ready to explode. She was my boss Kath.

" Sorry Ma'am Kath I thought you're someone else", I explained. She was still mad. She walked inside and Jean went to her room to get change. Me and her were left on the table. She's very quiet. I saw her raising her eyebrows everytime I stared at her. " Why something on my face?", she started to talk. I felt like I was the one who made a mistake here. The way she act seemed like she was the victim. " No ma'am ",I simply told her. Jean came out and joined us on the table. " So were you surprised that I was friends with your boss?", she told me. This brat really is something. What really was her plan? " So how you two crossed paths today?", I asked her. " She went on the store I worked and I invited her here", she said.

Kath was just looking at us and continue eating her food. " You like the food ma'am?", I asked Kath. She just smiled and nodded. " I'm done now so can I go now?",she told us but she only had two spoons of rice.

Jean hold her hands. " Wait you ate little only", she told her. " It's okay besides I'm on a diet. I'll get going thank you for the good meal today", she said and left us. I followed her outside. I'm glad she's not too far. " Hey ma'am I just want to say sorry for Jean. She's a child", I told her. She stop and turned around to face me. " You know what I don't trust low people like you so please just leave me alone!", she shouted. I was shocked when she said it but I remembered someone from my past. She also told me that she don't love me anymore and that she only stayed with me because of pity. "Yes I'm not rich like you but we had problems too!If you had burden from your past don't throw it to other people because they're the one who cared for you", I told her. I used my will power to said that words for her to realized that she's still lucky because she had a nice job,money and a luxury house.

She started to cry. I wanted to comfort her but we're two different people. I just watched her and offered her my mini towel. She took it and wiped it on her watery eyes and nose. We were like that for ten minutes. She was like a cry baby. She's mature enough to handle her problem in life but it was the opposite. I think her age was closer to my mom. " Are you alright? ", I asked her. She nodded and gave back my towel. " I'm going now bye", she said. She was about to walked away from me when grabbed her arms to stop. She looked around and surprised of my action."what?", She told me. I wanted to let this go but I was just curious. " Will you tell me your real age?", I asked her. Maybe this was my last day of work. I saw her cheeks turned red like a ripe tomato and her eyes narrowed on me. " Why?", she asked me again. " Because maybe I could treat you like my mother", I answered.

I think she didn't like my answer because she didn't say even a word. She just stormed out and walked away like I wasn't there.

Did I offend her? I'm dead tommorow.

Kath pov

" Am I too old to get married? Am I too old to have a boyfriend? Will I die single and alone?",this are my thoughts that's bothering me after I came home. Because of my failed relationship with my ex Jake I was like this. Maybe I'm not the one he's looking for. Karl was young and free. Maybe it's time to erased those happy thoughts in my head the first time I saw him Boracay Islands.

I called my chiwawa dog sky to come and comfort me. I needed someone to cry on tonight. I felt left behind and forgotten.
