Today is our flight going back to Manila. After a five days Christmas vacation in Boracay Islands in Aklan we had great memories and experiences to packed up back in the city. I called my mom that I'll be going home straight in our house and I requested her to cooked my favorite Chicken soup with ampalaya leaves. We were on our way to the airport when I received a text from Jake. " I miss you!",that the words he type and I smiled. "I miss you too babe ,see you later .Let's meet in my parents house ",I texted him back. " Okay babe ",he replied.

It's my first day of work in a cosmetic company " Lee Beauty", and I felt nervous. Gwen my best friend introduced me here. Because I am jobless for a long time due to an accident I don't even know how to show myself to people around me. I applied here as a beauty consultant last week and I got a call from them last night.

I'm already twenty six but I'm happy that they don't have age limit.

" Good morning everyone let's welcome Ms. Kath Miller in our team", Gwen introduced me to everyone. She's their team leader and I'm very grateful to be under her team. They said it's hard to fit in a huge company like this to the new face like me. " Hi nice meeting you all and I'll do my best to be a better one", I said. Everyone of them were nice and good. I had fun in my work everyday until one time in a big event our company was holding I met Jake Morris. He's one of our guest because they invited every pilots and captains whose under the company. The CEO of our company wanted to lend a big hand for them for treating him their VIP client for a long time.

He was handsome and a down to earth man,that's why I like him. We were on the same table and he was sitting right next to me.

" Hi are you new here?",he asked me. " "Yes I'm Kath and how about you?", I said my name politely. " Just call me Jake ,nice meeting you Kath",he said and from that moment I felt like I was in heaven with many angels singing beside me. I was mesmerized by his face.

" Hey Kath it's time to work", Stephanie startled me in my sweet dream. Today is the big day. We were going to hold an event for international market. Our products were getting a name in other countries like China,Japan, Singapore,Malaysia and even in New York. We were busy and I always came home late. Jake and I had a secret affair since he started sending flowers in my work. " Kath I heard rumors about you and Jake is it true that you two were dating?",Gwen confronted me in the restroom. I was fixing my make up and I stop. " Who told you? ",I asked her. " We all know that you and Jake met in the company's event last week and after that he kept sending you flowers everyday!",she told me.

I had no choice but to confessed the truth to Gwen. Actually I'm worried that she might laughed at me because in my age I still acted like a baby. " You don't have to hide your feelings to each other okay and besides Jake seemed like a good person",Gwen added.

Jake fetched me at the airport. We decided to celebrate the Christmas Eve with my parents.

" Babe your back , I miss you so much", I said. " Miss you too . So let's go! See you later guys", he told my friends.

"Okay take care of our Kath okay !",Cheska said after they parted ways.

Were on our way to the house when I noticed that Jake was quiet busy so I started the talking. "Babe , you look restless today is there something wrong?",I asked him. He gaze at me without any expression and he smiled. " Maybe I'm tired that's all babe", he told me and I believe him.

" Good evening father and mother ",we both greeted them. " Have a seat both of you",my father told us. " Jake you know that our daughter is not getting any younger so what's your plan?",he directly asked him. I felt a little tense about my father's question. " Honey it's Christmas can we just eat!",my mother told my father.

Jake wasn't ready for this. " Father it's not that I'm don't want to but I'm not yet...",he didn't finish because my father interrupted. " Leave my daughter if you're not man enough to marry her! Get out now!",he told him and my father left us in the table. " Honey..wait ,Kath I'll talk to your father maybe you two just talked about it ", my mom said and followed my father.

I went outside and I heard Jake talking to someone. " Hello, I told you it's just a one night stand and nothing more! Don't bother me again. Bye. ",he said and put his phone back in his pocket.

I came out and confirmed about what I overheard. " Babe who's you're talking to? ", I asked him. He looked away when I looked at his eyes. " Nothing ,it's my boss",he told me. I almost believe him when his phone ring again. " Answer it", I told him. He answered the call and I told him to activate the loudspeaker. At first he was hesitant. " Babe this is nothing common let's go...", I cut him off. " No do it now!", I'm getting impatient now. He followed my order and the girl's voice came out. " Jake I miss you please come back here", it was his woman's voice. I was speechless and I didn't know what to say. I just told him to leave. He said sorry for me. He said it was an accidental affair and it's not like what I think. But I don't believe him anymore. I don't want his explanations. " I said leave or I'll make it public ! Go!", I almost kneeled on my own knees about the hurts I felt tonight. He betrayed me and fooled me. It was the last day of our relationship.

I went back inside the house and spent my Christmas with my parents.
