I should not asked him about it. I'm embarrassed now and I couldn't make an eye contact to him. I lower my head and looked on the matress. He's still laughing and maybe that's too much for him to laughed. Am I a joke to him? Did he treated me as his Auntie or mom? I had to stopped him from laughing. " Hey why are you making fun of me? Nevermind! I'll go ahead now!", I told him and I'm about to stand when he hold my hands. My heart halt for two seconds when I felt the warm of his hands. Suddenly I came back from my own happy thoughts. " What are you doing?", I said to him with my poker face. " Ma'am relax I'm not making fun of you okay! I couldn't contained my thoughts. She's not my girlfriend. She's my sister", he told her.

I gently released my hands from him and I quietly sat back on the bed. I was quite ashamed for my recent behavior. What happened to me? Gosh Kath ,you're too old to act like a teenager!

" Ah I see. Well she's pretty", I said and take the soup in my hand. I felt the grumbling sounds of my stomach. " May I ask you a question ma'am?", Karl broke the silence. I gazed at him and I nodded. " Dou you have a daughter ?",he asked. I almost spit out the soup I was eating after he asked that stuff on me. " What? Am I too old to be single ?", I asked him but deep inside I wanted to cry. Anyways I couldn't blame him for asking that. I'm twenty nine and he's too young I guess. " No! I just thought about it. I just continue my soup and after that I took the medicine for fever. When the rain stopped I prepared myself to go. I bid goodbye to them. " Good morning Ma'am!", Karl greeted her. " Good morning", Kath replied and went straight to her office. She looked like an ice cold again. She's back to her original self. She's brave, wicked,and strict in every decision she made. Today was a big day for all of them. She gathered everyone and called for a meeting. She left her office carrying a bunch of papers for today's topic. She went inside the meeting room and saw everyone waiting for her.

" Good morning guys. In three days prior to this day, their was a wealthy family from Korea who loved to visit and be part of our launching event for our new product " Dolce", a brand of our lipstick line", I started my opening with the board directors and group staff.

" I heard that their daughters were a beauty guru. They were really good in rating a products so let's all do a great job to please them. Thank you", I added.

" Miss Kath what if they will drop the contract if their daughters doesn't favored our new product brand Dolce?", Stephanie asked me. I checked each one of them and they all agreed her question. "Before three days I'll check the factory process and review them one by one. I'll assign Gwen to do a research about their profile and likes in regards to Cosmetics. Let's all work together and stay optimistic as possible. We could make it! Fighting!", I encouraged them with my powerful speech.

" Are you sure of this?", Gwen asked me after the meeting. I stared at her and show a happy face. " Of course we can of we'll cooperate together", I said." Let's have coffee I'm sleepy", she told me. " How about Steph ?", I asked Gwen. Since my return she was quite busy and she's avoiding me. " Is anything wrong with her?", I said. We were in a coffee shop besides the company area. We ordered campuchino because we both love it. " I don't know. She never open up her problem", Gwen looked a little upset. I sighed. We finished our coffee break and went back to the office.

While heading in I saw Karl with Jane. It wasn't his break hour but what he was doing outside ? They were both smiling and I saw a lunch box. Jane took his hands and gave it to him. Karl was happy and messed up a little on her hair. I felt weird and they don't look like they're siblings.

" Kath let's go!", Gwen interrupted me. " Yes. Common", I told her. While I came back to my office I couldn't think straight about the project. My mind was full of thoughts about him and that girl. " What am I thinking?", I asked myself. I called the front desk to send Karl to my office. I'm just curious that's all.

I just went outside to grabbed my lunch. I'm not rich and I couldn't afford to eat in a restaurant daily so Jane decided to cook for me. Happy madam!", he told her. He seemed upset and decided to leave her office immediately. Kath was surprised to what she heard. He called her mother? She took a deep breath and continue what she was doing.

That night she looked a wine on her refrigerator. She drunk it all night. She's rich and successful but she don't feel happy at all. When Jake cheated on her it was the worst day of her life and now the guy whom she thought would be the answer to her loneliness was gone also. Maybe she doesn't have a right to fall in love again and to be love. Love is cruel and selfish it would only put you to misery forever. She felt asleep alone in her condominium.
