Selina woke up at the buzzing sound of people around her and from the sirens of what seemed like to be an ambulance. People were screaming, crying, and saying somethings but she cannot understand any of it. All she was aware of was the severe pain in her head and in her body.

Her vision was hazy and blurry as she tried to look around, and found herself lying on something cold. W-Where am I? She asked herself, and tried to remember what happened and what was she was doing there.

While she was confused, she heard footsteps coming towards her and saw someone’s blurry figure knelt in front of her. She weakly tried to look up to see that person’s face and noticed its lips moved like it was saying something, but Selina could not understand it. Her hearing was slowly becoming faint that she almost could not hear anything anymore.

Her eyelids felt so heavy that she wanted to just close her eyes and sleep; her body felt so tired and it ached all over. But as she was trying to keep herself awake, something caught her eyes behind the man’s feet in front of her – a thing that looked familiar to her.

M-my necklace? She thought to herself and tried to slowly reach for it with her bloody and trembling hand, but when she touched the lace, the man, who seemed like a medical worker, suddenly carried her up. The lace slipped from her hand. W-wait. My necklace.

Selina tried to open her mouth to speak but her voice did not come out. She watched helplessly as she stared at her necklace on the floor and could not do anything; her body had no more strength left.

Selina was taken out of the severely crushed bus and was put on a stretcher. She groaned as she felt the pain all over her body while they laid her down carefully and pushed towards an ambulance.

Her head was spinning but everything seemed like moving in slow motion. As she looked at the people who were pushing her stretcher, she suddenly remembered why she was there. That’s right. I was about to visit Jackson, New Hampshire to celebrate the Christmas season with Grace. However, another bus collided on the bus that we were on, she thought to herself, and then a faint gasped escaped her lips when she remembered her friend who was with her before the accident. Grace. Where is she?

Selina tried to look for her friend despite the pain that she was in and tried to fight the drowsiness that was slowly overcoming her when suddenly, she caught a glimpse of another person on a stretcher as she passed by. Her vision was a bit blurry but she could tell who was that person lying in there.

G-Grace? She thought to herself. She weakly moved her hand and slowly tried to reach out to her friend. She could not understand what was happening to her friend but she saw that the medical workers around her were doing a CPR on her.

She felt so weak that she cannot even call her friend’s name and just watched her friend helplessly; then all of a sudden, she noticed something unusual beside her friend’s stretcher. It was dark but the lights coming from cars helped her see things a bit clearer. She narrowed her eyes and tried to focus her gaze on that thing that was beside Grace, but her body gave in.

Her eyes were slowly shutting close and she was aware that she was about to fall unconscious. What is that black thing beside her? It seems like a human, but that thing had something spread out from his back, like a pair of jet black wings…and…why doesn’t it have a face at all? She thought to herself.

“G-Grace.” She faintly mumbled before she fell unconscious.
