Arrange Marriage

Van POV

I don’t know if I’ll be happy or what? Will Cleopatra be Von's wife? I kept looking at Cleopatra who was also looking at her food. We are here now at our table. all my brothers and  sisters and I are here and they are also surprised to know that Cleopatra will be Von's wife. Cleopatra's family was at the table with us. She, his older brother and his mama and papa.

"Van, have you told Von when their wedding is?" Everyone looked at me except Cleopatra. I lost my attention to Cleopatra. I looked at papa and nodded.

"That's good." Papa said and they talked about Cleopatra's dad. I turned my gaze back to Cleopatra. I saw how she sighed.

"Excuse me." Cleopatra said coldly and didn't wait for what her parents would say. She left her seat. I swallowed and drank wine. I still can't believe that Von will marry her.

"I'm just going to the comfort room." Von whispered to me. I nodded and turned my attention to Fin and Creed who obviously couldn't believe it either.

"Why do you look like that Van?" Leona asked me. I turned to her.

"What?" I asked.

"It's as if heaven and earth have fallen on you," she said. I just stared at her. Why do I feel this way? Part of me was hurt when I found out that Cleopatra would be Von's wife. Could it be because I felt sorry for Von?well it's true, I feel sorry for my twin again.

Cleopatra POV

I leaned my two arms on the side of the terrace and felt the cold air. My heart has been restless lately especially when I see Van. I didn’t know what I was going to do in front of him earlier when we were eating at the same Table. I was even more miserable when I knew that Von would be my husband.
I was disappointed. Yes, So much. But I don’t know why. I thought that Van would marry me. When I learned that one of Vaughn's male twins would be my husband, I was encouraged and convinced that Van would have agreed for me. But i'm wrong

"You don't want to get married either, right?" I turned to the speaker. It's Von. He came over to me and stood beside me.

"I don't want to get married." He said bluntly.

“Same feels.” I said. He laughed.

"I thought my dad agreed with another woman. It's a good thing you're my close friend so I can't count." He said.  I did not answer.

"What's your plan?" He asked. I looked at him.

“Do I need a plan?” I asked.

"Look, I don't want to get married because I'm waiting for someone."

"I also don't want to get married because I don't like you." I said directly.

"I know." He said with a smile. "You like my twin right." I was stunned by his question. I turned to him.

"What are you going to say?" I asked. I hope he doesn't notice that I like his twin. He laughed.

"I know you like my twin Cleopatra." He said and looked at the sky. "Because if you don't, I hope you don't agree to what Aphrodite wants." He said. my forehead wrinkled.

“How did you find out about what Aphrodite wanted?” I asked. He looked at me.

"She went home." He replied. He took a deep breath. "She went home to confess to me." I was stunned by what he said. He looked to the front. "She admitted that she liked me, for a long time." He said. "But I don't like her Cleopatra. I want someone else." He added.

"Does Van already know?" I asked. He shook his head.

"I don't want to tell my twin because I know he will get angry with me and our relationship could be ruined." He said. "I know Van, he likes Aphrodite very much. I don't want him to be mad at me just because of a woman." He said. I looked to the front. A moment of silence enveloped us before I spoke.

“I like Van.” I said. "And Van likes Aphrodite." I added.

"But Aphrodite likes me." He replied. We both looked at each other then laughed.

“The events in our lives are too complicated.” I said.

"Von?" Von and I looked of calling him at the same time.

It was Aphrodite. Our eyesights cross but she just averted her eyes.

"Von ... Can we talk." There was sadness in her voice and I think she was already drinking.

Von looked at me, I just nodded. Von supports Aphrodite to stay away. I took a deep breath before looking at the sky. I wish I was just like the stars in the sky. No problem is thought of and they are free to show who they really are.

I spent a few more minutes in that position when I decided to return to our table. I walked back when my eyes caught Van walking out of the house. I immediately followed him secretly. We were stranded in the back of their house where there weren’t too many people. I looked at Van as if he is looking for something. So I looked in the direction he was looking.

The nervousness in my chest immediately rose when I saw Aphrodite and Von talking.

I didn't even hear what they were talking about but I knew Aphrodite was crying. I watched as Van watched Von and Aphrodite talking. Until Aphrodite hugged Von, I looked at Van to see his reaction.

His face showed shock and pain as she watched Aphrodite hug Von. I looked back at Von and Aphrodite and almost sneered when I saw Aphrodite grab Von and kiss his lips.  I immediately looked at Van who was looking at them and in tears. I immediately teleported to Van's back and covered his eyes with one hand.

I took a deep breath then he slowly turned in front of me. I felt my hand get wet covering his eyes. Something I knew he was crying.

"Its wrong to follow them." I said while not removing my hands that covered his eyes.Pity, That’s how I feel for Van. I looked behind him to see Von and Aphrodite and I saw how Von pushed Aphrodite and angrily spoke to her.

"Just close your eyes." I said and slowly removed my hand that covered his eyes. He blinked as tears flowed down her eyes.

I wiped the tears from his eyes then took one of his hands and teleported away from that place. I took him to the Rooftop where there was no one and the surroundings were quiet.

"Happy birthday." I said while turning to look at him. He slowly opened his eyes. I could see the redness in her eyes from crying.

Using my power, I made a colorful fireworks in the sky cause that's where Van looked. I made ten different kinds of colorful fireworks with my power before they disappeared. I could only look at Van who was looking at the sky as his tears flowed.

"This is supposed to be my happiest and most painful birthday of all." He said before he looked at me and pulled for a hug.
