I woke up and did my daily routine, went school. Today is my date with Mario, I don't even know who that is or how he looks like, how will I know who to look for. He better not be one of those guys who pretend to be shy and then boom, they turn out to be some kind of pervert.

I just went to school and met Gabi, same routine classes and lunch and her talking about how they fix things. I guess Ryan is staying with her. It's not like he likes me or anything. This date is exactly what I need, a distraction from Ryan.

The day went by and Ryan picked up Gabi, I just didn't say hi, as soon as I saw his car I went inside. I didn't want to see him with Gabi. Once they were out of sight I looked for Mario.

"Hola." I turned to see a tall dude and very muscular. This can't be Mario, he doesn't look shy at all.

"Hola, sorry that's all I know in Spanish." I said as he chuckled.

"It's okay, I just wanted to say Hola. I'm Mario."

"I'm Aria, but I guess you already knew that." I said as we shook hands.

"Are you really shy? Cause you don't look shy at all." I said.

"Looks can be deceiving." He smiled. Okay he's interesting.

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah, I'll follow you in my car, is that okay?"

"Yeah, follow me." He said as we walked towards our cars.

I followed him to a cute restaurant. We got off and went inside. A waiter came to our table and took our order.

"So, you have a thick accent, where are you from?"

"Argentina, dad came here for a business and that's where he met mom. He would travel, back and forth just to see her. Then they got married here. She wanted to explore another country, so dad took her to ours to live. And that's where we stayed till I was ten, then we moved back here."

"Now they both know English and Spanish."

"That's romantic, traveling just to see the love of your life." I said as he nodded.

"True that." He said.

"I'm just curious, why did you want to ask me out, when clearly I'm not your type." I said while raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He said not facing me.

"Oh really? Were you not checking out the waiter? Plus he totally checked you out too. Unless you two are already together."

"Damn you're good." He said making me laugh.

"What's going on, Mario. You can trust me."

"No one knows I'm gay, just my parents and they support me one hundred percent. But you met the kids in our school, they bully any chance they get." He sighed.

"You're not wrong there, I used to get bullied cause I have two moms, then Ryan came and he protect me from all of them." I said while smiling.

"You have two moms, that's so cool."

"It is, I don't need a dad, I already have my grandpa for that." I said as he smiled.

"I knew I made the right decision, I wanted to talk to you for a while, you and Gabi are the only decent girls at school. That's why asking you out would get my friends off my back as to why they have never seen me with a girl."

"Thanks, we're a delight." I said as he laughed.

Soon our food came.

"So, Ryan huh?"

"What?"

"Oh, you have it bad for him." He said with a smirk.

"Shut it, I don't like him, you do." I said as he looked at me weird.

"Fine, damn you're good." I sighed as he laughed.

"You like your best friend's boyfriend. That's gold."

"I liked him since we were ten, I'm his first kiss, so suck that Gabi." I whispered that.

"I'll have to see how you interact with Ryan, he's hot, I saw him today when he gave Gabi a kiss. Although that kiss was just a peck, like come on, a kiss between couples should be passionate." He said with so much passion.

"You're a very passionate guy, you know that right?"

"Yes I am, and Steve knows that." He smirked, I just shook my head.

We went back to our food then he asked me to wait for him, he wanted to go kiss his boyfriend, who's only eighteen and in college on a scholarship. but works part time to help his family.

"I'm back, are we ready?"

"Yes." I said as he went to pay the bills and then we went outside.

"Thanks for doing this, if you didn't noticed, my friends were spying."

"I noticed, they're a bunch of tools." I rolled my eyes as he laughed.

"And when you go out with Ryan let me know, I want to see how you two interact. I can just be hanging out with my little sister. While you two are at a park."

"You're something else and very curious. But I'll let you know."

"Deal." He said before hugging me.

We exchanged numbers, then said bye.

Mario was actually really nice, a new friend is what I need, cause right now with Gabi, I don't know. When I see her I want to strangle her for being with Ryan. Okay Aria she's not your enemy, calm down. I need help.
