Chapter 3: Like Old Times

--Ryan--

I went straight to Gabi's house. As soon as she opened the door and saw me, she pulled me into a kiss, while I was kissing her one image came to mind. Aria. Why is she crossing my mind now. This didn't happened before.

Should I keep my distance from her? I need some advice.

"I missed you so much, babe." She said while hugging me.

"I missed you too." I hugged her back.

I do miss her, but not as much as Aria. We've known each other since we were kids.

"I was thinking, we should go to my parents lake house tomorrow and have a romantic weekend." She said while interlacing our fingers.

"Sounds great, but I have plans for tomorrow with Aria, I texted her and she said to hang out tomorrow."

"Guess I should've asked first. How about Sunday and on Monday we come back, I can afford to miss classes for one day." She said to me.

"That works." Honestly I wasn't excited, I don't know what's wrong with me. It wasn't like this last month, but lately Aria crosses my mind.

I text and talked to her more then I do with Gabi. My conversations with Aria are different. I need to snap out of it.

After spending a few hours with her, I went to my house. I told my parents what has been on my mind lately.

"So you still crushing on Aria, why haven't you made a move on her?" Mom asked.

"I agree, we like Gabi, but we know your heart is not with her, it's with someone who you call, shorty." Dad said.

"Yeah, I'm spending the day with her tomorrow. And on Sunday I'm spending it with Gabi at her lake house. It might give me time to think about if I still want to continue to be with her." I said as they both just nodded.

--Aria--

Saturday came and I got ready, Ryan is picking me up at twelve, and it was already eleven. I take all Christmas to get ready. I was happy to spend the day with him.

Twelve hit and he picked me up, we went to grab food then grabbed some ice cream and just walked in the park just talking, laughing, felt really nice. I want to kiss him so bad.

"Let's go to the beach, I miss it so bad." He said, I just nodded. He grabbed my hand and led me to his car, I didn't pull away, I enjoy this.

We arrived at the beach and he took off his clothes and was left with his short. Damn his eight pack.

"Time for some swimming." He said while shoving me over his shoulder.

"Ryan!"

"Swimming time." He said as he jumped in the sea.

"You're an idiot." I splashed water on him.

"It was really hot, we needed a swim." He smirked.

"Only you." I chuckled.

After playing in the sea, we got out and walked on the beach, this felt like a date, but reality it was just two friends Hanging out like old times.

"Is it crazy that I missed you a lot, even though we talk and text everyday?"

"No, it's not. I missed you a lot too, we've never been a apart and now you're three hours away." I said as we were still walking.

"Guess you were right, we are going to be together forever. That's what you said after you pecked my lips when I was eleven." He said making me blush. "What movie was that?" He asked.

"Uh, it's been a while I can't remember." I said trying to move on from the topic, truth is there was no movie, I just wanted to peck his lips.

"Well, at least our first kiss wasn't with someone strange." He said making me chuckle.

"Since we're still on that kiss topic, truth is, there's no movie. I just wanted to peck your lips cause you were so cute." I said while blushing hard.

"Oh really?" He asked.

"But that was years ago, now you're a twit." I said before making a run, he followed suit and chased me around.

He finally caught me, and I just laughed. "Any last words, shorty?"

"I have short legs." I said as he laughed while putting me down.

"Thanks for hanging with me, I know is Gabi you should be with but-" he cut me.

"I told her that today I was spending it with you, that's why my phone is in the car, no interruptions." That made me smile.

After spending time together, he took me home, he said he was picking me up for dinner. I was just happy to spend the day with him.
