Alyia's POV. 

I woke up because I felt something banging my head. 

"Aww.", I said and felt pain so I caressed my head. 

"Ma'am, are you okay?" 

My eyes are closed because of the pain I am enduring now. 

The person who asked me handed me a glass of water and I immediately drank from it. 

"Thank you.", I said after drinking that lessen the pain that I was feeling. 

"That is a first."

When I recognized his voice, I rolled my eyes. There he goes again. 

"Will you please shut up? Where's my clothes? I have so many things to review and sign.", I said and tried to stand up but I can't. 

It felt like my body is so heavy. I can't even move as fast as I can. When I tried to stand up, I feel like my sight was moving in a circular motion. 

"I feel dizzy.", I uttered while massaging gently the sides of head. 

"That's because you're stubborn."

I gave him a death glare when he said that. 

"I am not!", I shouted and tried to stand up again but I felt dizzy again. 

Before anything happens, Cosmos' arms caught me that prevents for me to fall. 

"You're really hard headed, Ma'am. Stay here. Ma'am Debbie is currently finding a medicine for you.", he said and helps me to sit down on the sofa. 

"I'm not sick. I have so many things to sign. I can't be sick. Where's my clothes? I'm gonna take a bath and I will go back to work.", I said but I am getting this feeling again. Dizziness. 

"Ma'am, you have fever. You are not supposed to be the CEO now so I'm gonna take over your job. All you need to do this day is rest.", he said while looking at me. 

His voice's tone is worried. Is he concered? 

What if he is? That won't change anything and he's just doing his job. 

Wait, is this part of his job? 

I was spacing out so I didn't notice that Debbie already arrived. She has the medicines with her. 

"This is just fever. I don't need those.", I said when I saw Cosmos preparing a glass of water and some tablets. 

"If you won't take your medicines, you'll just have to wait for days or even weeks to heal. So, here. Take this.", he was walking to me. 

The moment he got closer, he handed me the medicines and the water. 

Before I took it, I rolled my eyes. 

"Whatever.", I uttered before taking in the medicines and drank the glass of water that Cosmos is handing me.

"I'm just gonna be there. Call my name if you need anything.", he said while pointing at my desk. 

I just pulled the blanket and used it to cover my whole body. 

After that, I heard footsteps walking towards my desk. 

I opened my blanket a little and turned my gaze to Cosmos. 

When my gaze went to him, he is already stretching his neck by turning his head in a circular motion. 

I looked at his eyes. I just realized that his eyes are swollen. 

He didn't sleep, did he? He is that worried about me? 

Is he telling me that I should pity him for taking care of me? Well, it's his job. He must do those efforts. He is tasked to, the left side of my head said.

Is his job includes being my yaya? Not, okay? So? Why is he doing these?, the right side said. 

He just feels responsible of me. That's it, the other side replied. 

If that's what you want to think, then fine. You're so blind, the other side replied. 

I pulled some strands of my hair when I realize that what I am doing is making me crazy. I felt pain traveled through my head so that made me close my eyes. 

Do I have to stay here whole day? I want to move! I'm not used to this situation wherein I'm just in a sofa.

"Cosmos, I want something to eat.", I said but I didn't remove the blanket that is covering myself. 

"What do you want to eat, ma'am?", I heard him ask. 

I'm not really hungry. I just want to get rid of this guy so I can do my pending jobs here. I can't be just like this the whole day. 

What's the purpose of being here in the office? To sleep and rest? No. I'm here for the company that my parents gave me. 

This company is really important to me. I saw the hard work my parents invested here. I saw how they suffer to manage their time for me and this company. 

I must do my part as their daughter. Managing this company well can be my way of paying them bavk for all the sacrifices they made. 

"Ma'am, are you still awake? What food do you want to eat?"

Since my mind was wandering, I didn't notice that he got near me. His voice felt like a whisper. 

"Uhm... Buy me something I like to eat. I know you know what my favorite dish is. Just buy something that I can eat. I'm really hungry.", I said and removed the blanket all over my face. 

When I finally removed it, I was stunned because the moment I opened my eyes, I met his gaze. His eyes felt so deep. I feel like I'm gonna drown if I won't take my eyes off of him. 

"M-ma'am?", I heard his stuttering voice that brought me back to reality. 

"Go. I said I'm hungry, right?", I exclaimed while raising a brow. 

"Oh. Yeah.", he said and snapped his fingers.

"Take your time!", I shouted at his back when he started to walk outside.

Cosmos' POV. 

I'm stuck here at traffic. Noises coming from these vehicles is kinda irritating. 

It's been minutes since I left Alyia alone at the company. I am quite worried for that stubborn girl. She didn't ate dinner last night so I hurriedly ran when she asked for something to eat. 

Debbie told me about the foods that she likes and the foods that she can't eat. I didn't really know about those but since Debbie told me, I know what I'm about to buy. 

She likes chicken wings, that's her favorite. She hates peanuts. Debbie told me a story about her hating peanuts. 

It is her allergy. A day last last last last year, Debbie made a cake with peanuts. She really didn't know about Alyia's allergy.

Alyia ate the cake she made. According to Debbie, Alyia's mom was a great cook back then. So, Alyia really loves eating home-made foods. 

So, continue with the story. Alyia did ate the cake. Debbie told me that minutes after, her face became itchy. Moments after, her face became so red that she looks like a chili. 

I really laughed when Debbie told me about that, Imagining Alyia's red face is hilarious. 

The car in front of me moved forward so I started to drive. 

While driving, I am following the directions that Debbie told me about the restaurant that Alyia really loves to go. 

When I saw it, I immediately parked the car and went out. Walking, I am thinking about Alyia. 

What is she doing right now? Sleeping? 

I got in the restaurant and ordered. One bucket of chicken wings will be enough, I assumed. 

When I got my order, I immediately drove to the company. 

Because I really want to give Alyia her chicken wings, I didn't notice that there's an old woman crossing the road. I quickly stepped on the brake. 

"Ma'am, are you okay?", I asked the old lady when I got off from the car. 

I helped her get up. No car passed by and it's kinda weird. I didn't remember taking a short cut so I know that I'm here at the highway so why are there no cars passing by. 

"Hijo.", I heard the old lady utter. 

"Ma'am, are you alright? I can take you to the nearest hospital if yoy're not fine. Just tell me.", I said worriedly. 

"No, I'm fine."

Looking at her, she's perfectly fine. She got no bruises. I know that I bumped at her so why is there no sign of bruises? Should I be glad? 

It's getting weirder here. 

"I'm just gonna tell you this. Listen carefully 'cause I'm just gonna say this once.", she said that made my brows furrow.

"Fate can be the most unfair enemy that you'll encounter but it also has the power to make you happy. Love freely. Don't let fate tear you apart from the one you love.", she said and tapped my shoulder. 

I was about to ask her but she suddenly disappeared. Confused, I just walked into the car. 

Fading and disappearing is no longer new to me. Same as magic. What's weird is what she said. What does she mean by that? 

I drove to the company confused. I am clearly spacing out. 

When I got in the office, my face suddenly changed it's expression to a mad face. 

"What are you doing there?", I asked loudly that caught her attention. 

"Working! Obviously!", she exclaimed that made me take my steps to her. 

"You took a bath, didn't you?"

"Of course! What do you expect me to do? Be your good little girl and follow your stupid rules? Sleep and rest?", she shouted at my face. 

"Ma'am! It's all because you're sick. You must rest.", I said in the very calm voice that I know. 

"I said I am not sick. I can handle myself. I handled myself for the past years so I know that I can handle myself now. So, stop acting like you care. I know that you're just doing your job but please, I want to work. Let me.", she said. 

Based on her voice, she is really frustrated.

I sighed. 

"This is for your own good.", I said and carried her in a bridal style. 

I am shocked knowing that she is so light. Knowing that I carried her effortlessly. 

"I'm still your boss!", she shouted right onto my ear that made me close my eyes because it hurt my eardrums. 

"You're still my boss, ma'am but now, you can't take that position for now. You must rest.", I said and put her on the sofa. 

"Your food is on the top of the table. You can eat anytime you want.", I said and walked to the desk. 

I saw her cover herself with blanket that made me smile. She's hard headed but base on her gestures, she's also a soft girl inside. 

That thought made me smile. I'm getting to know her day by day. I guess, I'm doing well with my mission? I guess so.

Alyia's POV. 

Yawning, I opened my eyes. I didn't notice that I've fallen asleep. I tried to stand up. Now, my sight is getting better. It's not like earlier that I feel like I would faint the moment that I stand up. 

Wearing my slippers, I kicked the blanket on me. 

I turned my gaze on the table. I saw two boxes. The big box seems familiar. 

Getting near the table, I saw a sticky note on the small box.

"Eat this and after, you can take your medicine. You must take these. I've got an eye on you."

"Stupid.", I whispered with a chuckle. 

Opening the big box, I smelled a very familiar aroma. I heard my stomach crumble so it made me chuckle. Now, I'm really hungry. 

"This better be a good food.", I said before opening the box. 

When I finally opened it, it made me smile widely. I felt like my eyes were doing those heart-shaped eyes that I can see on the emoticons. 

Chicken wings! 

I'm really hungry to the point that I immediately ate the chicken wings. I missed this. I didn't had time to go to the restaurant where we, my mom and dad used to go. 

That restaurant is really special to me. Every friday night, we usually go there. They will ask me about what happened the past week. We call it as 'fridate'. 

Because of hunger, I didn't notice that I already finished up the eight pieces of chicken wings. 

After eating, I took my medicine. I was about to go to sleep again but Cosmos' sleeping face on the desk caught my gaze. 

I don't know why but I had this feeling that he deserves a proper sleep. I know the stress of being in that position. Where you have no choice but to finish your job even if you're tired. 

I walked towards him carrying my blanket and a pillow. I put the pillow under his head and the blanket all over his body. When I finished, my gaze stayed at his sleeping face. 

"T-thank you.", I said and kissed his forehead. 

I ran to the sofa quietly. I am ready to sleep again but then I remember his face. It made me smile. 

I don't care if he's just doing his job but the gesture he showed was really nice. 

"Good night, Cosmos.", I whispered before closing my eyes.
