Amy’s pov

Next morning, I swore to myself that I’d stop trying with Anton. I couldn’t do anything to bring us close again and there was not even the slightest chance to make him like me. I had to move on. 

Today was practice day. Us that we don’t have our wolves we are practicing four days per weak. Practice is mandatory for us under 16 but I am practicing since I was five alongside with Fabien and Anton. Me and Fabien have to prove ourselves everyday because our mother was a human and everyone thinks that we are weak. Especially Fabien who has to prove that he will be a good and strong alpha. 

Even thought we have to prove ourselves no one is saying anything to us cause they are afraid but if you are paying attention enough you can hear whispers. Our pack members maybe they are afraid to oppose us but highly pack members from other packs they are not.  This of course doesn’t affect the attraction girls feel toward my brother, he is both good-looking and a future alpha, many of them want to be lunas. 

Our pack isn’t a big one and it isn’t the strongest pack either. Moreover, we lost many of our allies when my Father was mated to my mother. Many wolfs are mated to humans but it’s not common for alphas to be mated with humans. For some to be mated with a human it’s a weakness.

Never mind, today is the first day that I won’t practice with my brother and Anton. They will practice with those who have wolfs. I am the best in my class in dodging and I am quicker than everyone mostly because I am smaller and an alphas daughter. The practicing all these years helps too. I’m not the strongest though or the best at attacking so I am dodging until my opponents get tired.  

Every time in practice I wear my hair in a ponytail, I wear leggings, sports bra and a crop top. Today I wear grey leggings, grey sports bra and a gray crop top. Usually guys don’t check me out because I am the daughter of their alpha and Fabien and Antony are with me. Today was different because the boys weren’t with me.  I caught one of the guys checking me and he winked me. It was nice to have someone flirting with me after the rejection yesterday. 

‘’So today let’s see how will you defend yourself against 3 of them’’ our trainer said. 3 boys vs me yeah nice odds. Everyone was laughing, they knew I was good but not so good. The boys had a cockiness expression and a smirk in their faces making me wanna punch them at the face. One of them was the guy that checked me out. I was dodging every punch and kick that they made and I made them punch and kick each other many times accidentally when they were aiming me.  We were fighting until we heard the siren. 

The siren meant that we were under attack. ‘’Alpha mind linked that we are under attack from rogues, kids go inside’’ our trainer commanded. And then it hit me today Fabien and Anton won’t come inside with us, they will fight. I was worrying sick at the thought that they were in danger. 

I was standing there not wanting to go inside. The guy who was checking me out tried to convince me to go inside with him ‘’come inside, you are not help when you don’t have a wolf’’. I knew that he was right but I was afraid for them. I didn’t know what to do so I stranded still for few seconds. 

I was starting to walk towards the woods to help when I saw Anton and my brother in wolf form coming. They had blood at their fur, I was so worry but when they got closer I saw that they didn’t have injuries. A big smile crossed my lips, the were safe, both of them were safe. 

 Anton didn’t ever look at me and got passed me looking a dangerous look to the boy who was behind me. Ok now we are not even at speaking terms, nice. I don’t know why I expect something to change. No, I am not overthinking it again, I have to move on. 

My brother went behind a tree and changed back to his human form wearing clothes that we had stocked behind several trees for emergency. ‘’you shouldn’t be outside. There were only five rogues but you wouldn’t be safe here if there were more’’ he said strictly and i just nodded ok. ‘’So, what was all this about? Why did they attack?’’ I asked. My brother made a nod to the guy to leave and when he was gone he explained ‘’We had reports from other packs this year that they are searching for high rank unmated shewolves’’. 

For the next few months things were peaceful. My brother and Antony started to hang out with us more because of my brother’s relationship with Katia.  Yeah finally my bestie and my brother were a thing. I never saw my brother dating any of his conquests but he seemed very happy and close with Katia. He was even making efforts to be romantic. 

After his birthday party they are always together. My brother stopped flirting with other girls and most girls in school were jealous looking at Katia with venom.  Peter was annoyed that they were dating because they weren’t mates, at least not yet. He was worry for his sister’s feeling cause Fabien could find his mate any day now. He only respected their relationship because Katia was happy, happier than she ever was. 

Antony was mad all the time and even my brother didn’t know what got to him. He didn’t sit with us for long and he snapped many times at Peter. I don’t that he likes any of us except Fabien.
