Chapter 7

I can say they kind and don’t take advantage of what happened to me, they gave me a new dress to wear even though it was comfy and old footwear, I also had dinner with them, I can say that the soup and bread were the best tasting I had this week when I wasn’t at the palace. I am still thankful that their bed is can be used even though it’s so hard and painful from my back, because this is better than nothing.

After our breakfast we immediately waited for our departure, I still remember what we discussed with Stella yesterday, I agreed to go with her to help me enter the palace and became an assistant.

When we got out of the house we were met by the cold breeze and the smell of dew, I was a little bit nervous that those who took me would come out again, I look around to be alert to my surroundings, and I just felt Stella hold my hand as we left the villages.

I glanced at her and saw the smile on her lips, “you don’t need to be afraid, they’re gone and they will never find you again.”

I don’t know if I would be happy with what she said, it would still not leave me afraid of the traumas I got from the madmen who took me.

We quietly walk out of the forest area until modern city households meet us, as it grows more and the surroundings become noisier, we passed through an alley, I could smell the mixture of cold breeze and various staple food and plants.

I was thrilled to see the smile on the faces of townspeople especially fun kids playing and buying candies.

In the heart of the bustling town in the middle and top of the hill overlooking where we now stand Stella the palace of Avalon, it’s breath-taking and I felt a little jealous that Avalon’s palace looked more beautiful than our palace.

She took my hand and pulled me, “let’s hurry that the car might leave us, you don’t want to walk to far, hurry!” She said with a smile on her face.

I didn’t know we had to run for a few minutes and rush to town just to get to the parking lot, she held my hand when we got there, there were people on board that we could ride with, all of them carrying heavy luggage and whatnot on the trip.

We sat near the door and sat next to an old woman, smiling at us.

“I feel like it’s going to be a fun day, I’m sure you’ll get a job in the palace soon as we arrive there,” she giggled.

I didn’t respond, I just want to agree that I don’t want to ruin it so that it might drop later on.

The driver had closed the door of the long car and had started the drive, I could see only a few houses and we were surrounded by tall trees on either side of the road. I looked up and saw the covered leaves and branches in the sunlight, as if we were in tree tunnel.

All of a sudden, I felt sad and miss my lost father. I took a deep breath, ‘I know you’re there for me, please help me father for this day so I can go back to the palace,’ I prayed on my mind while we’re on the trip.

An hour drive I also felt that butt was slightly sore due to hard seats, we went down first and the driver was shouting that we were in front of the main gate of Avalon Palace, it really looks far and away how beautiful the Avalon Palace is from the palace where I used to live, it was too high as if no one could enter especially the opponent from other kingdom or any bandedos.

There were soldiers outside guarding, many of them, some on a horseback, and some guarding the cannon for possible sudden start of chaos, Stella called me and we approached two soldiers who were blocking the small gate that could enter the averages size of a man like us.

Stella had a golden circle out there from her back, I just saw that it was one of those badges, saying she was rank as royal maid and the royal logo of Avalon a national animal Lion and national leaves the two laurels on both side and the down part is a crown.

“I am Stella Navor one year royal palace maid, I want to enter my cousin Germaine as a royal maid too, I know they are still looking for a new maid and worker, that’s the court lady’s order before we back to our house.” She explained.

I was slightly surprised when she introduces me to a soldiers that we are cousin, soldiers looked at me as if they’re examined me.

“But if my cousins doesn’t pass on the taste and the standards of the court lady before works starts tomorrow she will be able to leave as well,” she added.

The two soldiers nodded as if they understood each other, they lined us up to check our bags, when they made sure that we didn’t have anything that prohibited things inside the palace or anything to put in, they immediately let us in.

I was almost overwhelmed by the beauty of the bridge that met us before we could even get to the very land of the palace, not that far, but it was too cold on the part of the bridge due to the water below which falls from the mountain ridge near the palace, there are glowing parts on the bridge like glitters or diamonds, I don’t think so and I couldn’t tell.

“The bridge is the most expensive bridge in the world, did you know that diamonds and some precious stones were mixed in the pavement before the bridge was built, because Avalon is rich in precious stones, diamonds and gold.”

As she commented on how rich the Avalon was I thought that our palace and kingdom were also rich but at times we did not decorate the buildings with gold or jewels, because we were helping the poor in the with that wealth, because that’s the royal family do. The more amazing the Avalon Pace bridge the more amazing it was inside the palace itself.
