Chapter 3

Immediately turning back to the direction they came from, the demons mixed in with the soldiers panicked as they madly bolted away from the young girl, trampling on piles of corpses and even some of their comrades in battle who had tripped and fallen to the ground in disarray.

However, as infamous as Solia’s reputation was within the demon clan, she naturally didn’t let any single one of them escape as she bound them within the area through quicksand paired with a suction force that neutralized the flying abilities of the demons.

“Please do spare me the trouble of having to chase you lot around, alright?” The young girl sighed as she gradually compressed the crowd she had captured.

“Young lady—Merciful Sorceress! Please let us off just this once!

“You’re breaking the agreement between the empires!

“Your actions will be deemed as the empire declaring wars to all the neighboring kingdoms!

Numerous pleas and threats rang out within the battlefield but Solia simply chuckled coldly in amusement, “Well, if I was said to have died during the battle and vanished from the world, then wouldn’t the existence of that agreement between empires be voided as well?

“Wh-what? If you died…? W-well even if you died, the ones back at that camp would still report your actions to our majesty which would cause the annihilation of your empire’s royal family as they will be held responsible for your involvement!” One of the men stepped forward and rebutted, clearly forgetting the fact that their side was the one who had crossed the boundaries first by allying themselves with the demons all the while not realizing what Solia meant with her words.

“Oh? Do you mean these people?” With a simple snap of her fingers, a hoard of corpses belonging to both humans and demons appeared before the one who spoke up. Seeing their lifeless comrades stocked in a pile with one on top of the other along with the commanders from their base, the color was drained out of the faces of those standing before the young girl who wore a seemingly amused but cold smile.

“Corpses tell no tales you know?” As her sweet voice reverberated throughout the battlefield, Solia once again snapped her fingers and in an instant, an ominous and enormous ball of darkness appeared above the crowd without any movement.

“B-Black hole?!” Seeing one of the forbidden spells, another commotion broke out amongst the captured group as they violently struggled in an attempt to break free from Solia’s quicksand spell.

“IS THIS WHAT YOU MEANT WHEN YOU SAID YOU’D BE DEAD FROM THIS BATTLE?!” The man who stepped forward earlier hysterically questioned the girl as his eyes were with panic.

“YOU FOOL! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?! DON’T YOU KNOW THAT THIS BLACKHOLE YOU’VE MADE WILL NOT ONLY SWALLOW US WHOLE BUT THE NEARBY EMPIRES THEMSELVES AS WELL!” He continued shouting at the girl’s petite figure as his anxiety increased.

“Oh? Who said I’d die with you morons?” Solia simply tilted her head as one of her palms cupped her cheek with a raised brow. With the beauty’s placid voice, her question left the enemy mob dumbfounded.

As if realizing something, Solia moved her delicate hand to cover her mouth as she revealed a surprised expression, “Oh my, were you perhaps not aware that the only reason why this magic had become forbidden was due to the mortals’ incapability of controlling it due to their puny magical prowess?

Hearing the girl’s words, the magicians within the mob looked at the girl incredulously as they had never heard of something like that.

“But then again, people who tested this theory already stepped into their graves a long time ago, so it’s no wonder that the rest of the world knows nothing about this matter” She smirked as she stared at the crowd before her with indifference filling her eyes.

“Well then, it is time to bid our farewells to each other. May you have a safe trip to hell.” The mob had longed been silenced by the realizations they came upon amidst the girl’s dialogue as they stood still and watched her gracefully bowing to signify their end.

With a snap of her fingers, the black hole swallowed the crowd at once, including the land beneath them as the last thoughts that had ever entered the minds before they died were: What kind of monster did we provoke…

Solia then voiced out a few chants which caused the summoned spell to gradually grow smaller as it slowly faded into the atmosphere.

“Now that this is taken care of…” She suddenly took out a dagger and cut a few strands of her hair before throwing them inside the crater created by her spell. She then unbuttoned her first two buttons, revealing delicate and fair clavicles that can easily provoke any race, however, under those bones reveal tribal menacing marks that stretch out from her chest till her abdomen, a great contrast against her pale skin.

Slightly pulling her opened collar forward and gazing at the binds that have been placed on her when she was bought, she frowned as she prepared her spell to disable the tracking function of the seal before her gaze wandered to the demolished patch of land in front of her.

With her plan of making the whole world think she was dead, she took a step forward towards the crater to convince the public that she had been sucked into the black hole she had made, however, she suddenly vanished into thin air.
