“Bye Rockey!” Katy said while waving me goodbye. I flash them a bright smile and wave back then Vicky smile back at me while squishing both of her cheeks. “Why so adorable, Vy?” I said while secretly adoring the younger’s cuteness but it doesn’t mean I’m gay for her okay? I’m STRAIGHT. “Ehem, Gay alert, ehem” Katy said which Vicky glared at the younger and quickly drags her inside the school without saying a proper goodbye to me. “Gay?” I smirk while both of their figures started chasing each other towards the stairs happily. “Alicia and I used to be like that in our pre-school year” I said with a hint of bitterness when the two disappears from my sight.

I got off Jennifer’s car and locked it securely. As usual, I’m facing this apartment once again but something differed from last time. There was a guy sitting on the pavement while waving his hand towards my direction. I just gave him a small smile before making my way inside but— “You must be the new tenant right?” he asks and stood up then he offers me a handshake while smiling. “My name is Louisito” he introduces and I just reach back for his hand and shake it back. “Mine is Rockey” I pretended to be shy and flashed a small smile. “Uh” he said while scratching his nape and I just look at him while PATIENTLY waiting for him to finish his business with me. “Ahm, there’s a slumber party at my friend’s apartment, room 3009. Would you mind joining us?” he shyly asks which I tilted my head to the side while thinking. A slumber party with the other tenants? Sounds great! But--how about Katy and Vicky? I can’t just leave them alone in my apartment. Hmm. But it is a great head start to meet the other tenants *sighed*

“Rockey?” I got back to my trance when Louisito’s voice rings in my ear. He was also looking at me and I got to admit that his gaze kinda made me feel uncomfortable. “Yeah, cool!” I shortly said without even thinking the after-math. He flashes me a smile and embraces me for a quick hug. “Great! See’ YA at the party!” he excitedly said and hurriedly went back to the apartment. “I just hope that I won’t regret my decision later” I let out a sigh as I made my way back to my apartment but-- "Why did he hugged me? Is that neccesary to do? He even look so excited though" I said in confusion as I climb the stairs while chewing the inside of my cheek. 

FAST FORWARD: [5:00 PM- FEW HOURS LEFT BEFORE THE PARTY]

“Rockey! We’re home!” Katy and Vicky said in unison while knocking on the door multiple times. “Something cool happened in school today!” Katy greeted me with a news and gave  me a sisterly hug. I returned the gesture and let her in to my paradise again. “Hey, Vy” I greeted the other Ruby and she smiled at me shyly. “Yow, Rockey” she said and immediately follows her sister inside. “Rockey, Sit” Katy excitedly said while pulling me towards the couch. “Vicky got herself a boyfriend!” she announces when we both settled on my couch in comfort then we suddenly heard the bathroom door shut loudly. “What’s wrong with her?” I ask in confusion. Vicky seems mad when Katy told me about her love life. I thought she was gay though but turns out that nope, she’s just affectionate base on my OTHER observation next to the gay thing. HAHA. “Don’t mind her. She’s just flustered about the confession” Katy reassure me and Indian sit. “So Vy—is your boyfriend handsome?” I ask while matching the same tone Katy used but this younger Ruby suddenly lean closer to my ear. “I’m just kidding but please play along. It’s my revenge for Vicky because she didn’t wait for me during break time” Katy whispered in my ear the same time the older Ruby came out of the bathroom. “Hey Vicky, I told Rockey about your boyfriend!” Katy said with the same tone but the older just put the plastic in her backpack.

“I DON’T HAVE A BOYFRIEND” Vicky said in a flat tone and Katy giggles while leaning her head on my shoulder. “Oh, Come on Sis. Don’t deny it—I saw what happened in the fo--"  Katy’s words were caught off when Vicky turn to face our direction with dark aura surrounding her. “Katy STOP!” she said in a cold tone but the younger just let out a chuckle and jump off the couch to embrace the annoyed latter.“Aw~ don’t be mad Sis. I’m just messing up with you” Katy softly said and pecked her sister on the cheek before pulling the latter towards the couch between us. “It’s not funny Katherine. Not at all!” Vicky said still annoyed by the teasing then crosses her arms over her chest. Is that the “play along” thing? “Katherine!” Vicky whines when Katy snuggles to her closer. “Is he handsome?” I curiously ask while smirking. “Rockey!” Vicky whines even more as she looks at me in disbelief and covered her face with both of her hands which made me and Katy giggles on our seat because of Vicky’s cuteness. 

[KNOCK (2X)]

“You invited someone?” Vicky asks in surprise but I just shake my head on my way towards the door. When I peek who it was, it’s the same guy from earlier. I open the door and he wave to me again. “Hi again Rockey, The slumber party were about to start in 15 minutes” he said and I mentally face palm myself for almost forgetting that. I smiled at him a bit and nodded my head. “yeah, Room 309” I said and showed him a thumbs up. We bid goodbye to each other and I immediately close the door. “You know Louisito?” Katy ask in surprise but I just shrug my shoulders on my way towards the cabinet where I grab the pajamas I brought earlier. “Okay girls. Change into this and will attend a slumber party” I smiled at them then Katy happily jump off the couch and took her pajama while running her way towards the bathroom. I gave Vicky her pajama and I quickly turn my back when she suddenly took her shirt off in front of me. “First time seeing a girl changing in front of you?” Vicky asks in a mischievous tone and though I’m back facing her. I can still feel her stares at me. Her childish actions remind me of SOMEONE.

“It’s actually the hundred time I saw a girl changing in front of me—" I paused on my sentence as I face her direction again and plastered a smirk on my face. “My best friend used to be NAKED in front of me MOST of the time” I straightforwardly said which her mischievous smile instantly turn into a frown. Wait—I think I forgot to tell you that Vicky was only in her bra and panty. “Want me to be naked too?” She challenges me and a smirk appears on her face while staring at me like I’m a fresh, piece of meat. “You know what? You remind me of someone—“

FLASHBACK

“Come on Rosa! Help me decide which dress I should wear on my date!” Coralita said in frustration while grabbing few more dresses out of her closet. Most of the first batch were already scattered around the room and little did not she know, one of those already hit me on the face. “Try this one?” I suggested as I pulled off the white plain dress off my face. “This one is so simple. I don’t think this one will match the restaurant” she said in dislike as I only nodded my head then  grabbed a red cocktail dress that was hanging on the lampshade. “How' bout this one?” I suggested while showing her the dress, earning a thumb’s down from her. “Too daring and too sexy. So nah” she commented while placing her hands on both of her sides. “Do you really needed to be naked in front of me every time we did this?” I questioned her while choosing another dress for her. “Yeah. Why? Don’t you like it?” she playfully said while doing few random poses in front of me. “Not that I like it either but it’s that necessary?” I questioned her again which she giggles in return, approaching me in the process. “Of course, you,  dummy. You’re my best friend so deal with it okay?” she proudly said and did few more poses in front of me which I grimace in return.

END OF FLASHBACK

“YAH! Wear you PJ now and please stop with your gayness Ruby! Now shoo! Go change to the bathroom! GO!” I was pulled off my chain of thoughts when I suddenly heard Katy’s voice and next thing I know? Vicky was nowhere to be seen. “Don’t worry! I already kicked her out. Vicky is already changing and you too! Now change into this!” Katy excitedly said and gave me my PJ. “And I will wear this. So change now, ” she added while putting on her blindfold. I just hum in response and pull off my shirt when Vicky suddenly went out of the bathroom. “First time seeing a girl changing in front of you?” I mock her which she instantly turn her back at me. “Stop mocking me and just c-change!” she stutter which made me giggle on my spot. “Guys, stop flirting and we’re about to get late!” Katy playfully said.

“Hi Rockey!” Jackal greeted me again while offering me a bag of chips. I only smiled at him and show him the bag of chips that Vicky and I are sharing. “Are you enjoying the party so far?” he ask and unexpectedly sat on the empty space beside me. In my peripheral view, Katy peeks her head over Vicky’s figure. “It’s fun. I guess?” I answered while feeling awkward then took a sip of my drink to relax my nerves. “Seems like you’re not a party goer” he predicted and I nodded my head in response. I reach for the chip but I felt a hand catches mine. “Here” Vicky smirked while handling me handful of chips. “Hey Rockey” Jackal tap me to the shoulder and whispered in my ear. “I want to tell you something” he said and stood up. I stared at him confusedly then he motions me to follow him. “Don’t. Stay here with us” I heard Vicky said in a stern voice as she grips on my wrist, preventing me from moving off my seat. “Acting like a territorial girlfriend, aren’t we?” Katy voice out while still peeking then wink at me. “I’m just protecting her, Katherine” Vicky said in a defensive manner which made me smirk secretly. “So sweet of you, Vy. But don’t worry it will be quick. Promise” I re-assured them then Katy removes her sister’s hand off my wrist. I mouthed a thank you before following Jackal outside. In the hallway, he started to fidget his fingers, standing few centimeters away from me. 

“Uh” he started but then I only look at him curiously. “Do y-you have a boyfriend?” he stuttered and I hide the smirk forming on my lips right now. This one will be easy for me. “No time for boys, Jack” I lied while wearing a fake smile. “But—we’re already friends right?” he ask and reaches for my hand. “yeah, why?” I questioned him back then show me a smile. “I like you Rockey—But I can wait till you get ready” he confessed while staring straight into my orbs. That was fast. “We will see about that, Harrison” I smirk at him as I pull my hand off his reach. I went back inside the apartment and about to make my way towards the Rubys when I felt a hand gripping on my wrist gently. “Does it mean—I have a chance?” Jackal ask in hopes. I tried not to roll my eyes in front him then I just pat him on the shoulder before going back to the girls.

Poor Jackal Harrison, the only chance that I’m giving him is ONLY for my own sake and my sister, Alicia. Thanks to you Jackal, I achieved something tonight before the day ENDS, Another FRIEND.

“Look like you enjoyed his company huh?” Vicky said in a very bored tone which somehow confuses me because of her sudden changed of behavior. “Not really, Vy” I replied then she didn’t converse to me after that. “Hey Rockey. Looks like he has some shots for you huh?” Katy teases me and I pretended to be flustered by that, receiving a playfull slap from her to my shoulder. “I approve! I ship the both of you!” Katy said in an excited tone but then Vicky suddenly stood up from her seat. “I want to go home now. Katherine, let’s go!” Vicky stated, pulling her sister along with her on their way out of the apartment. Oh? A sudden walk-out impressive.

This little Vicky is really GAY for me huh? Very expressive of her. *sigh* she’s EASY to read. Those admiring eyes. The jealous reactions and the unexpected winks? Yeah, confirmed. Vicky Ruby is indeed GAY for me and she really reminds me of Coralita--LIKE A LOT.
