-Asha-

Our things were taken to our room when we arrived at the hotel and Zeus took me straight to the restaurant to have dinner before we finally retired to our room. Aside from a kiss he gave me before bed, he had only held me before sleeping. Unsurprisingly, I did not reject the sleeping arrangement. I was actually relieved and at the same time disappointed.

The next day, I wore one of the summer dresses we bought and I was surprised to see myself in casual clothes after such a long time. I even felt embarrassed when I went out of the bathroom.

“You look beautiful.” Zeus casually commented and kissed my cheeks before going to the bathroom to change as well.

I was the only one who had really changed to a different person and the only one conscious about it. If Zeus noticed, he didn't really care. It’s actually surprisingly a relief to me.

-Zeus-

We toured and dined all day but it wasn’t as what I expected. I could tell Asha was enjoying but if it were the old Asha, she would have enthusiastically run around like a child but the Asha now is calm and collected. Sometimes, I couldn’t even read her like how I could read her like an open book before. She really has changed a lot but its fine, I just have to start knowing her all over again. As a vampire, I don’t really get tired but Asha didn’t say but I could tell that she was exhausted since we chose to go on foot the whole day. However, she didn’t rest after taking a shower and instead called Andrew to check on some things. She talked to him for almost an hour while I listened but also watched some news in the living room.

When she finished talking to Andrew, there was that awkward silence again as she saw me in the living room. She stood there for a while until finally disappearing into the bedroom. Usually on this instance, normal couples on a honeymoon would get lovey-dovey. I sighed loudly, turned off the television and proceeded to follow her to the bedroom. Just like yesterday, I checked myself before joining her on the bed. No matter how much I want her, I will not force and scare her away because of it.

Vampires do sleep but we can live even without sleeping but for this instance, I did not want to sleep, I only want to watch Asha sleep peacefully beside me. However, my heart almost leaped out of my chest when she suddenly reached out and held onto me in her sleep. I didn’t understand why until she kicked the thin blanket away. It seems that the temperature has gone up without me noticing and she instinctively went closer to me to cool off since we vampires are cold creatures, literally and physically. I happily obliged and drew her closer; she sighed in contentment and continued her peaceful slumber. I somehow drifted to sleep as well, still in her embrace.

-Asha-

I stared at myself in the mirror, wearing nothing but my bathroom. Earlier this day, we toured the pyramids today and someone joined us, two girls who were obviously tourists just like us and one of them is also a vampire. We let them join us out of politeness and things were going normally well at first until the female vampire started making moves on Zeus. Zeus had ignored her and stuck closer to me but the female vampire chose to ignore my presence and boldly approached Zeus once again. Zeus had exploded and chased them off in the end. After that, we continued our tour but my mind was replaying what just happened and also the scene 4 years ago. It filled my mind until I realized that I was jealous. That could only mean that I really do have feelings for him thus my abnormal mind returned to the present and decided to seduce my husband to sleep with me. I didn’t know why my mind came to this conclusion but all I know is that I wanted to get rid of those images that kept playing on my mind since earlier. I want to erase it.

With determination, I stepped out of the bathroom in just my bathrobe and sought out Zeus in the living room where he was fiddling with his phone. He looked up when I approached.

“Are you okay? You took a long time in the bathroom.” He said when I was in front of him.

“Zeus I want you.” I blurted out and he stared at me blankly but his fingers that were still moving on his phone stopped.

“What are-“

I dropped my robe to the floor and stood there naked in front of him while he once again sat there in a daze. Suddenly, his eyes darkened and he carried me back to the bedroom. He had suddenly turned into a beast that I was taken by surprise but after playing with my body for a while, he stopped and looked at me in the eyes.

“Do you really want this?” He asked with such a gentle expression that it made my heart flutter. I drew him in for a kiss as an answer.

The next day I had only one question in my mind. Why is it that when I initiate something with Zeus like in the mall, I ended up regretting it? Right now, I literally want to cry in pain because my entire body is sore, Zeus did not hold back last night, not to mention that I actually lost my virginity in a rough manner. However, how could I complain when I enjoyed it? Zeus would tease me endlessly if I complain. Our last day in Egypt was spent in the hotel room for me to recuperate.
