Hailey Ryan is a 17-year-old teenager who lives in a small town in the United States called Dreeytown, with her parents: Jenna Gordon (47) and Bertram Ryan (48), and her fraternal twin brothers: Andrew and Matthew Ryan (23).

Hailey was always a very different girl from people her age, she always felt like an outcast among her classmates and they always made her look like that. As she grew up, she tried to understand different ideologies about life in general, so her love for philosophy and fiction developed, from which she could get some ideas about how everything really works. Although her father is a historian, she never felt that everything her father told her about the past history was completely real, she always had the feeling that there are many more things that nobody talks about and she feels the duty to discover them.

When Hailey starts her senior year of high school, she begins to get close to Travis Campbell, who was her best friend for most of her childhood until he chooses to walk away from her for no reason. She discovers that she is beginning to feel things about Travis, things she felt in her past and now these feelings are back, but that feeling is strengthened. When Travis returns to Hailey's life nothing is the same anymore, many problems are unleashed in their lives and she discovers secrets never told. Hailey discovers who she really is with Travis' help, she discovers that she has powers and that she is not the only one to have them, what she always believed as fictional was always real.

As a novice with her powers, she must attend the Fire Eagle Academy, a secret academy where they teach teenagers and children with powers, how to control their powers, as well as some battling techniques and how to use them powers for protection. Even though Hailey developed her powers at a late age, she knows many people there who want to help her and people who seek the opposite, others people who don't want Hailey in the academy, much less around Travis.

Hailey begins to discover many shocking secrets, live many interesting experiences and adventures. She also gets to discover something that involves her and Travis, something she never would have imagined and maybe that is the reason why they got together, many truths and lies come out, conflicts and love affairs, too many things can happen in the life of these teenagers.
