Chapter 11

I pulled up outside of Jay's place, then made my way up the elevator to the penthouse suite. I must've looked more deranged than I did the night before. A sad girl, dressed in black, duffle bag in hand.

I knocked on his door, not sure if he would even answer, but he did. Once he opened the door, I walked in, and he looked as if he had seen a ghost.

"I thought you had left," was all he said before I sat my bag down.

"He tried to convince me to stay, but I didn't." I told him honestly.

"You went home?" He asked.

"Yeah," I nodded. "But I'm not going back. I won't." I shook my head fiercely, and folded my arms across my chest.

"Are you okay?" He asked me, closing the gap that was between us.

"Yeah, I just don't know what I'm going to do from here." I sighed heavily, running my hands over my deep curls.

"I'll tell you what you're going to do," he stated, grabbing my hand and leading me back to his bedroom. "You're going to get dressed, and come to work with me." He smiled proudly, going back to the living room for what I'm assuming was my bag.

"Work?" I asked him, once he was back.

"Yep." He said simply, sitting my duffle bag on the bed.

"I have bruises everywhere." I pointed out, not even knowing what kind of work he did. I can't believe we've been together this long and I still haven't asked that.

"Nothing a little concealer won't cover up," he shrugged.

I chuckled, not even bothering to know why he knew that. "Should I shower?" I asked, realizing that I haven't since this morning.

"It's up to you, I don't mind waiting." He said, laying back on the bed.

"What should I even wear?" I asked, sifting through what little clothes I managed to salvage.

"You should wear something like you wore when you threw a drink in my face." He smirked, and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Shut up," I sighed, pulling out a pink, low back diamanté mini dress. I didn't even realize that I picked it up, but I was actually glad I did. "Just give me fifteen minutes," I told him, disappearing into the bathroom.

"Where are going anyways," I asked Jay as we got into his dark purple sports car.

"To celebrate your freedom," he answered, starting up his engine.

"I thought we were going to your work?" I said, but it came out more as a question than a statement.

"We are," he smirked, and I rolled my eyes at his vagueness. "And you need to stop being so down," he continued. "You're free! You can do whatever the hell you want now! This isn't a sad occasion."

"How it happened was sad." I said quietly.

"Yeah..." he trailed off, staring at the bruise on my upper thigh. I shifted in my seat, trying to pull my dress down a little more to hide it. "But that's all behind you now." He said, his hands gripping the wheel firmly. "Unless you run into your parents somewhere- which I doubt, you have no reason to be upset about it."

Without another word, I turned my head to quietly look out the window. To Jay, I was free and clear; I had officially made it from behind enemy lines. But to me, my battles were only just beginning.

I still had years and years of trauma to undo. On top of that, I had no money, no job, and no plans. My whole life had been planned out for me after all, so I didn't need to worry about these things. On top of that, I was living with a man that I barely knew, who not too long ago was just holding another woman. To me, my life was no where near perfection.

In the passing of time, we pulled up at a club called 'Capricornus' and my eyes widened. "You work here?" I asked, staring at him bright eyed.

"No baby," he smirked. "I own here."

"You OWN a club?!" I asked, quickly getting out of the car.

"Amongst other things." Jay shrugged, and I followed him inside of the vicinity. It's aura was blue, purple, and gold. I could tell it was a really popular place, because it was nearing 4AM and the party didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. "Come on, I'll show you around." He smiled, grabbing my hand and leading the way.

He took me straight to the VIP section, and I almost screamed at the fact that these sections had dark purple velvet seats. It was true luxury! "Stay here, I'll be right back." I nodded, following his command, and watched as he disappeared into the crowd.

I don't know why, but all I really wanted to do was call Juliet and tell her EVERYTHING! But I knew that she was just as monitored as I was, and as soon as her parents get any idea what was happening we'd both go down.

I sat down quietly, bobbing my head to the music and resisting the urge to pull out my phone. If I'm here with the owner, I guess I should at least pretend I'm too cool for technology.

As if hearing my silent prayers, Jay appeared with drinks. "I got you a shot, and a martini," he yelled in my ear, placing it on the table in front of us. "You need to relax." He said, and I nodded in agreement.

"Where's yours?" I asked him, picking the shot up to take it.

"I don't drink, baby." He said, spreading his arms out behind me.

"Oh, I- I just assumed." I stumbled, but shook my head dismissively. "It's okay, I guess, what the hell I'm celebrating right?" I said, throwing the shot back, and then downing the martini right after.

"You want more?" He asked, clearly amused. I nodded my answer, and he gestured for someone to come over. It was someone who I'm guessing was his employee, and watched as he whispered something in her ear.

Not even five minutes later she returned, and I had more shots and another martini. I don't know if I was drinking to celebrate, or forget, but I could feel myself loosening up after every shot hit my system. And once I was done with that martini, I was ready to hit the dance floor.

I don't know if Jay protested or not, but I drug him out to the floor with me. I took the time to grind on him, making it a point to rub my ass as close to his growing member as I could. I couldn't help myself! It had been so long since the last time, and plus I do get a little horny when liquor gets into my system.

After torturing and teasing him enough, I finally turned and wrapped my arms around his neck. He grinned down at me like a prowling wolf, and I planted a big kiss on his face. "Where have you been all my life?" He whispered in my ear, and I laughed hysterically.

"Where have I been all my life!" I stuttered drunkenly, and continued to dance my cares away. I danced with a wolf, and I didn't even care what kind of beast he was. As long as he was mine.
