"Hobi, give these flowers to Taeyang's mother" his noona says handling him a bouquet of yellow roses "did you get something for Taeyang?"

Hoshik just ignores everything and walks out of the mansion while correcting his tuxedo and Jaehee just follows him while rolling her eyes, holding onto the flowers and other gifts she picked for the Kims

"atleast give me a hand" she says while struggling to keep all the gifts in the car, as soon as she enters, she finds a very elegant looking small bag in hobi's hand

"whats that?" she tries to reach for it but Hoshik takes it out of her reach for which Jaehee giggles

"I guess you did get him something, isn't it rude Hobi to not share it with your noona" she teases him

Instead of replying to her, he instructs the driver to drive, since last night he was anticipating to meet Taeyang and to see his boxy smile and when his whole face wrinkles so cutely, every time he giggles at something and now that he thinks about it, he resembles a cute little tiger whenever he giggles.

He still remembers last week's conversation that he had with the younger, when he messaged the elder once he reached home as the elder had asked him.

Hoshik was back at his apartment, all freshen up and ready to sit in front of his laptop to continue his work, he enters his room, that's when his phone dings and he frowns thinking that it was his Noona texting to ask him to come home, he takes his phone and unlocks it to see a message from the younger

Taeyang

Hyung, I reached home

I think you might be asleep by now

Good night hyung.

Without any hesitance Hoshik presses the call button and the phone was picked up on the second ring

"hyung! You didn't sleep yet?" comes Taeyang's surprised voice

" I reached home an hour ago, I have some work to do, anyways,you met the person you wanted to meet at the university?" Hoshik again surprises himself by trying to make small talk with him

"yes hyung, my friend  Park Jimin studies there" Taeyang replies

"oh ok, what's his major?"Hoshik asks which makes Taeyang happy as someone for the first time took interest in people he hangs out with unlike his mother.

"Jimine hyung is a Dance major, he is very good at it, hyung" Taeyang says in a proud tone while Hoshik got distracted by his own thoughts for a minute but was brought back by Taeyang calling him

"hyung?"

"ahh, I am sorry Taeyang, I just thought of something else, anyways Taeyang, you told me that you like drawing, right?" Hoshik asks

"yes hyung" Taeyang replies confused

"what kind of drawing do you like to do the most?" Hoshik again investigates

"oh, I do pencil drawing but I love making charcoal sketches " Hoshik could imagine his smile with that cheery voice of his.

"hmmm, ok" Hoshik replies stifling a yawn

"hyung!" Taeyang calls

"yes Taeyang?" Hoshik could feel that the younger was hesitating to say whatever it was that he was about to say

"hyung, i-its...hyung its getting late, you should rest and don't work now, you will tire yourself." Taeyang says through the phone and Hoshik could imagine the younger biting onto his lower lip and looking onto the floor but he sounded genuinely concerned

"ok Taeyang , good night, hyung will meet you next week" Hoshik finds himself smiling for the first time in 2 years and he was relieved that no one was there to witness that

"good night hyung"

A small smiles twitches his lips which he covers by faking a cough and covering his mouth, his noona looks at him confused

"you ok hobi?"

"yes noona, I am fine" says hobi while clearing his throat

They reach the hotel and Jaehee shoves the bouquet into hobi's hand and glares at him

They both were escorted to the private dining room where Taeyang along with his mother and another young man stands up and bows, both Jaehee and Hoshik do the same. All of them then resume their seats with Taeyang sitting to the right of Jin who was sitting in the middle of Tehyung and their mother, Hoshik occupies the seat opposite to Taeyang and Jaehee sits next to him.

Taeyang looked different today, he was wearing a black suit with a white shirt, he looked really good but Hoshik couldn't help but feel that kid's vibe from the younger, may be because of the loose locks that fell over his forehead or may be the younger one was too adorable to look anything but cute and Hoshik could clearly see that the younger wasn't comfortable at all. Whereas the person sitting next to him was looking Handsome on an entirely different level, he was entirely different from Taeyang, he had a powerful aura surrounding him but it was nothing that could be deemed as scary.

Hoshik gives a slight nod to Taeyang who was looking at him but shies away when Hoshik acknowledges him. There was something different about Taeyang today, Hoshik could feel that he was anxious and...scared of something. Hoshik looks at him for a few minutes, trying to figure out what it was but was brought back when Jaehee nudges him and gestures towards the bouquet in his hands

He stands up and bows while forwarding the bouquet to Taeyang's mother

"you didn't have to do that Hoshik" says Mrs. Kim while smiling wide

"Its not a problem at all Mrs. Kim" Hoshik replies, without any change in his expression

"oh, call me mother, Hoshik, you are going to be my son-in-law" she says all happily for which Hoshik nods

He wasn't happy with the tensed air that was surrounding Taeyang. Later Hoshik comes to know that the other person was Taeyang's Hyung, who was getting married to Choi Mina next year.

He just gives the elder a nod of approval which he receives back, but looks like the elder wasn't leaving his chance of interrogating Hoshik

He asked every question that was possible to ask in this surrounding, but Hoshik could clearly see that the elder was just worried for his Dongsaeng and so Hoshik didn't mind answering any, while Jaehee and Taeyang's mother were busy in their own conversation. But then Mrs. Kim says to everyone, getting their attention

"I want my Taeyang to get married this year, I hope that it wont be a problem with you" she says looking at Hoshik and Jaehee

Hoshik could see Taeyang scoff and he wanted to know what it was for?

"oh I would love that too, I have been here for almost six months now and I would love if I could get hobi settled as soon as possible" Jaehee says all excited

"if its fine with everyone, we can have the engagement two weeks from today and wedding after a month from that" suggests Mrs.Kim

"hobi, what do you think" Jaehee asks turning to look at Hoshik

"Are you fine with it Taeyang?" Taeyang who was looking at his feet all this time, looks up with wide eyes, it was Hoshik who asked him.

"Hyung!" Taeyang looks at Hoshik

"Are you ok with the arrangement Taeyang?" Hoshik asks again, ignoring everyone else in the room

"Why would Taeyang have a problem, right Taeyang?" comes his mother's voice and Taeyang clearly stiffens

Hoshik looks at Taeyang's mother who was giving a glare which was clearly directed towards Taeyang and Jin was glaring at his mother, there was clearly a tension among the Kims

"Y-Yes Mother" comes Taeyang's timid reply

"ok then, its settled...engagement two weeks from now and wedding next month" Jaehee says excitedly

Hoshik looks at Taeyang again who has busied himself with the food on the table while Jin was clearly looking pissed off

"oh Mrs.Kim, its nothing much, but I happen to buy a few presents for you all, since we are going to be relatives now" Jaehee gives off the gifts which Mrs. Kim states wasn't necessary at all

Taeyang smiles at Jaehee while accepting the gift, but it was not the same boxy smile that Hoshik was waiting to see

"i would love to talk to Taeyang alone, if its not a problem with anyone" Hoshik finds himself asking even before he could stop himself. Jaehee looks at him shocked but it didn't matter to him, he just wanted to take the younger away from this place which was clearly suffocating him and Hoshik for some reasons hated that.

"oh, Its totally fine, go Taeyang" says Mrs.Kim, for which Taeyang nods

Hoshik stands up and forwards his hand for Taeyang to take, Taeyang hesitantly slips his hand into the elder's extended one and the elder holds onto it firmly and helps him stand up

"I will drop Taeyang home, mother" Hoshik says while bowing to Taeyang's mother and she just nods

Hoshik could see Jin's gaze on Taeyang as if they were having their own silent conversation

"shall we go Taeyang?" Hoshik asks

"y-yes hyung" Taeyang says without meeting the eyes of the elder

They walk out of the room, Hoshik never leaving the younger's hand, once they were out of the hotel, Hoshik hears Taeyang's deep intake of fresh air

"lets go Taeyang" saying that Hoshik starts walking along the side walk and Taeyang follows him

"where are we going hyung?" Taeyang asks, his voice back to normal which, for some reasons relaxed Hoshik

"I don't know" Hoshik shrugs

Taeyang comes and stands in front of him halting them to a stop

"Then why did we leave?" Taeyang inquires

"I didn't like it in there, the room felt stuffy to me" Hoshik replies with another shrug, not that he was going to admit that he wanted to take Taeyang away from there

"Ok then, is there any place you want to go?" he asks Hoshik

"is there any place that YOU would like to go to?" Hoshik asks back

"me?" Taeyang gets busy and then Hoshik sees his eyes light up "oh!there is this ice cream parlor I wanted to go, me and jiminie hyung planned to go last week, but jiminie hyung got some extra work at the b.. I mean his work place" Taeyang pouts involuntarily

"ok, lets go then" Hoshik says "lead the way Taeyang" Hoshik says, Taeyang nods and they start walking

"what the hell is wrong with you Hoshik?" Hoshik finds himself mentally questioning his actions, he felt like he was opening up to the younger a little too much.

They enter the shop and Taeyang jumps towards the counter filled with various flavours of sweet treat, with excitement.

Taeyang orders chocolate chip cookie dough flavor for himself which hosoek finds to be a childish choice but yet he loved it about the younger who then turns to his hyung

"hyung, what would you like?" his excitement not dying down at all

"anything will do Taeyang" Hoshik replies

"ahh, hyung, how can anything be fine, you ought to have a favourite one" Taeyang lowkey whines

"I haven't eaten ice cream in a long time" Hoshik replies for which Taeyang looks at him in disbelief

"why don't you select one for me?" Hoshik suggests

"me?" Taeyang looks at him while biting onto his lower lip, then he looks at the rows of ice cream flavours

Taeyang orders vanilla flavor "I thought you could start with a basic one" Taeyang tells the elder

Once they get their order, Hoshik was about to pay when Taeyang stops

"its my treat hyung" Taeyang replies

"its ok Taeyang, I will pay" Hoshik reaches for his wallet

"hyung please, let me pay this once, you can pay next time, please hyung" Taeyang looks at Hoshik with puppy eyes

Hoshik keeps his wallet back "ok" comes his reply

Taeyang happily pays for the ice cream and they take a seat at one of the tables, he was happily glopping down the ice cream when Hoshik asks

"Taeyang, you are happy with how things are going, right? Its not too fast for you right?"

Taeyang looks up at his hyung who was looking straight at him

"y-yes hyung, why?" Taeyang asks

"you just didn't seem so happy about it?"

"what does that means?" Taeyang asks, for some reasons that statement irked him.

"it means what it means Taeyang, you clearly didn't say anything about it" Hoshik couldn't understand why the kid was getting so defensive over such a trivial question, moreover Hoshik was being considerate here

"if I have a good memory, I did say that I was fine with it. What else do you want me to do, dance around to show my happiness?" Taeyang was getting snappy and he knew it but he couldn't help it, he doesn't want the elder to see that his mother doesn't care about him and the fact that the elder was clearly getting there, didn't help him at all

"yeah right, after getting that glare from your mother" Hoshik scoffs

"what does that have to do with anything, isn't me telling you that I am happy, enough? What else do you want? Why can't you believe me?" Taeyang leaves his spoon and stands up from there to leave

"Won't you finish it?" Hoshik asks looking at Taeyang's ice cream

"I don't feel like eating anymore" Taeyang replies and starts walking out, his excitement all long gone

Hoshik had no idea what he did that pissed the younger off. But he didn't find it wrong at all, whatever he said. Hoshik stands leaving his ice cream untouched, to follow the younger.

They walk back silently, neither of them saying anything at all, once they reach Hoshik's car which was waiting for him, they enter and along the ride, the younger kept silently looking out of the window, Hoshik doing the same.

Once they reach Taeyang's house, the elder steps out to open the door but Taeyang steps out of the car on his own

The younger starts walking to the door of his house when Hoshik calls out to him and walks towards him with something in hand

"this is something I thought you would like" Hoshik hands him the bag

"thank you"with that being said both of them turn around and leave to their separate ways

Neither of them knew what really happened but they just had their first fight and Taeyang felt like crying out of frustration, he knew it was not the elder's fault at all because he doesn't know anything and all of this might have confused him. This is what scared Taeyang the most when he went out with his mother this afternoon, he knew that around her, Taeyang can't help but to contain in frustration but when the elder touched that subject, all that pent up frustration was downed onto him which Taeyang has never done before. He was very good at controlling his emotions but looks like that wasn't the case when he was with the elder.

Taeyang looks through the window to see the elder's car retreating and Taeyang felt horrible for behaving the way he did with the elder. But he could have stopped asking when Taeyang clearly said that he was fine with how things were going

"it was definitely his fault too" Taeyang goes to his room while blaming the elder equally as well.
