Taeyang looks at himself in the long dressing mirror, he was dressed in a blue checked shirt and black dress pants with a belt around his waist, his hair was left as they were, covering his forehead, he sighs

"this is it tae, your last chance to be of any help to your mom, maybe she will like you after that" he tells himself

With another sigh he grabs his phone and snaps a selfie and send it to his best friend and his only friend Jimin

Do I look fine?

But instead of receiving a reply, he receives a call

                                                         Jiminie hyung calling

He receives the call

"hello hyung"

"taetae, you look amazing" comes his hyung's cheery voice

"thank you hyung" tae smiles on hearing his reply

"so at what time is the date" jimin asks excited

"Its not a date hyung, it's a meeting and yeah its at 6" Taeyang says while checking the wall clock which was about to hit 5:00

"looks like someone is very eager to meet him for being ready an hour earlier" jimin teases

"no one is eager, it was my mom who told me to be ready by 5, looks like this huge ass restaurant is an hour drive from here and mom doesn't want me to disappoint him by showing up late" tae scoffs

"tae" comes jimins soothing voice

"hmmm"

"Look at things in a brighter way, what if he is the one, what if he could help you in ways you could only imagine" jimin says in a reassuring way

"Or he could be just like everyone else, rich arrogant and self-centered" Taeyang says, his distaste for rich people dripping from each and every word

Jimin sighs "look tae, he is obviously rich, but don't make your own image of him, give him a chance to paint it for you, ok?"

"ok hyung"

"good and come meet me at the bar after your dinner"

"ok hyung"

"and keep what I said in mind and give him a chance, ok" jimin asks him again

"I'll try hyung, bye, its time to leave"

"ok bye tae tae, take care"

With that they hang up and Taeyang goes downstairs where his mom scrutinizes his look and then gives him a nod of approval and waves towards the main door

"Your car is waiting, our driver will take you to the restaurant" his mother says without any emotion

Taeyang just nods and was about to walk when Jin comes out of nowhere and hugs him

"All the best baby bro" jin pinches his cheeks for which Taeyang glares at him while jin just laughs and hugs him again

"and if anything goes wrong, call me, ok" he breaks the hug to look at his brother who gives his boxy smile and nods

"Bye hyung"

"Bye tae tae"

When Taeyang reaches the threshold of his house. Comes his mother's voice

"And behave yourself, don't show your country boy behavior there"

Jin rolls his eyes and turns to retort his mother when Taeyang speaks up

"yes mother" he gives jin a slight shake of head, telling him not to say anything for which jin just leaves from there, most probably to vent his anger on his punching bag

Taeyang was sitting silently in the back seat of the car thinking about things his hyungs said

"could this really change something in my life, will he be any different?"

His whole ride of an hour was spent thinking about things that could possibly go wrong and the top of that list was "what if he won't like me?"

His train of thoughts were interrupted when his door opens and his driver says "young master, we are here"

Taeyang nods and steps out of the car and walks towards the expensive looking restaurant, as soon as he steps in a girl dressed in a red and white uniform comes to him

"Mr. Kim Taeyang?"

He nods

"this way sir, your guest has been waiting for you"

Hearing that the colour of his face drains out, he was late and his first impression was ruined, his mother will hate him even more now if they will cancel this arrangement

Again he was brought back to reality by the girl

"sir, this way please"

He nods and follows the girl who take him to a private room and as soon as he enters he frowns on seeing a young lady sitting at one of the chairs, biting on to her bottom lips

Taeyang turns to the girl to clarify that he was here to meet someone else when the lady from the table stands up with a bright smile "Taeyang-shii"

Taeyang turns to the lady "yes"

The lady walks around the table to stand in front of him and forwards her hand for a hand shake "hello, I am jung jaehee, Jung Hoshik's elder sister"

"That must be his name" Taeyang thinks and shakes her hand and bows "hello I am Kim Taeyang"

The lady smiles and gestures towards the large table "lets have a seat and talk"

Taeyang nods and moves towards the table while jaehee turns to the girl and tells her to come back in 10 mins to take their order

"I am so sorry Taeyang-shii, I know you were not expecting me but my brother, but he got a very urgent meeting at the last minute and couldn't make it, he is very sorry" saying that she hands him a bouquet of white roses

He bows and takes them while showing his boxy smile which made jaehee coo internally

"that's totally fine jaehee-shii, some things cant be avoided" Taeyang reassures her while within him he was sad, so sad that not even the person he might spend the rest of his life with didn't care to even look at him once and he then knew that he was just going to be some rich ass dude's trophy

"please call me noona, hobi calls me that, I would love it if you would do too" jaehee smiles at him

"ok noona" Taeyang bows again, it was like he couldn't really look up at her so that she will not see the hurt in his eyes

Soon the waitress comes to take their order and they chat about everything that was possible, she was every now and then apologizing on behalf of her brother and at the end of the dinner when they were about to leave she stands up and ruffles his hair and coos

"I am sorry Taeyang-shii, its just that you are very cute, my brother will be very lucky" she coos at him again which makes a slight blush tint his cheeks

"t-thank you noona" Taeyang says with his head down to hide his blush

"oh and you should definitely meet my daughter, she will love you" jaehee says while they start walking out of the hotel

"oh, you have a daughter?" Taeyang asks looking at her

Jaehee laughs "I know I look so young but yeah I have a 5 year old daughter, she is with her appa in states, I came here to settle hobi down, they will come when things finalize, you know the wedding and all"

"oh, ok" Taeyang nods in understanding

A car comes to a halt in front of them

"that's me" jaehee says and was about to open the door when Taeyang opens it for her and bows

"thank you Taeyang-shii, I will talk to your mother about our decision, pls you let her know yours and if you want to meet my brother before telling us your decision, pls let us know" she ruffles his hair again and smiles

Taeyang nods "ok noona"

As soon as she leaves Taeyang starts walking out of the drive way when his car comes to a halt near him and his driver steps out

"young master, please get in"

"you can leave first, I'll be taking a walk" Taeyang continues to walk

"but young master"

"please leave minho, if you want me to come back home at all" with that being said, he receives a sympathetic look from minho, that's what he has been getting from everyone in that household since he came back 2 months ago, as if they all knew what he was going through, only if they knew.

His car was gone and he moves to take the bus to go to the bar where his hyung works

As soon as he enters the bar he heard his hyung's voice calling out to him "tae tae, over here"

His hyung was in his bartenders uniform and was waving at him, he goes and sits at the bar stool and rests his head on the table

"I guess the meeting wasn't that good, was he snobbish?" jimin asks while making a drink, probably for someone.

"He didn't even show up" Taeyang sighs

"what the hell, he stood you up, that jerk" now he was shaking the drink mixer violently

"no hyung, he had a meeting so his sister came and she gave me these flowers as his apology" he keeps the bouquet on the table.

Jimin scoffs "are they from him?"

Taeyang shrugs "I don't know"

Suddenly Taeyang's head was hung low and jimin knew what was happening, he gestures his other friend to take up his place and he comes around the bar and hugs Taeyang and in an instant Taeyang buries his head in jimin neck to muffles his cries

"shhh, its ok tae" jimin caresses his hair while cursing that jung Hoshik

"Am I not even worth a look hyung, am I that unworthy?" Taeyang asks between sniffs

"taetae, he could actually be busy and if it really hurt you, then say no" jimin suggested in a soothing voice

"I don't have a choice hyung and I really hoped that he will be my escape but he is no different" Taeyang says while breaking the hug

"you didn't even meet him tae" jimin says still patting his hair

"because he decided not to" Taeyang whines

Jimin chuckles "he didn't decided not to, he just couldn't make it, how about a second chance?"

Taeyang sighs "I don't know"

Here Hoshik, Kijoon and Yujun were very happy as they were able to crack the deal

"this calls for celebration" Yujun says while flashing his gummy smile

"I am going to call kookie first" Kijoon says as he takes out his phone and walks to a corner

"I'll go grab some champagne" Yujun leaves from there

Hoshik looks at Kijoon who was smiling ear to ear while sharing his happiness with Jungkook, and suddenly he thinks about the meeting and he frowns at the lack of update from his noona, hesitantly he takes out his phone about to call his noona when his office door opens to reveal the person in question

"Noona what are you doing here" he asks while standing up and walking to her

"I couldn't wait for you to come home" his noona squeals

"For what?" Hobi asks confused

"To tell you about Taeyang, oh my god Hobi, he is the cutest thing that I have ever seen in my whole life and his smile is so adorable, awww he was just so cute, I wanted to pinch his cheeks but I compromised with ruffling his hair" his noona says with her eyes distracted

"You did what?" Hoshik asks, his focus only on her last sentence

"He was too adorable, to not do anything, I bet you won't be able to control yourself either" Jaehee giggles

"Control himself for what" Kijoon says as he completes his call

"From pinching Taeyang's cheeks, he is so adorable" Jaehee again starts squealing over Tae

"But don't you think it was unfair that you get to see him but he didn't get to see Hobi?" Kijoon asks frowning

"You are right joon, and he looked kind of disappointed" jaehee pouts

"Did he say that he was disappointed?" Hoshik inquires

"no Hobi, he said that such things are bound to happen but I could see that he wanted to meet you, cant we arrange another meeting for him...huh, pls Hobi, he deserves it pls Hobi" Jaehee holds onto Hobi's hand and shakes it

"ok fine, tell him to come here tomorrow at 12, we can have lunch together" hobi says without any interest

Jaehee hugs him tight "awww, my baby brother is the best, I'll call them and let them know and yeah I am telling them that it's a yes from our side"

"wait, don't I get to see him first" Hoshik asks

"you lost your chance brother" Kijoon says matter of factly.

Hoshik just sighs.
